Chapter 464 Romy’s Family
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
(Romy’s POV)
When I woke up, I was in my own bed in the Clan house.
Gunilla peered at my face with concern.
”Romy…y’all finally woke up…are ya okay?”
”Gunilla…I’m sorry, I made you worry…”
Gunilla’s eyes glistened with tears, and she nodded repeatedly.
”What about the others? Ms. Sasha, Ms. Della…and Ms. Shinobu?”
”Ev’rybody’s fine. No need to fret.”
”But Ms. Shinobu was badly injured!”
Mr. Hiroya came to rescue me at Bolt’s hideout, so Ms. Sasha and Ms. Della must have been safely rescued as well…but what about Ms. Shinobu’s injury…
”Ms. Shinobu got healed by a lord’s companion named Raincrist, who’s got them magic skills. She’s as good as new.”
”…Oh…that’s great…”
I felt a deep sense of relief.
And then I remembered.
(They even put a slave mark…and a crotch tattoo on me…)
As I gasped and touched my neck, Gunilla gently held my hand.
”The slave mark and the crotch tattoo…they’re gone, somehow.”
”Huh…what…how?”
Apparently, Captain Bone of the ‘Black Sheep’ has the power to remove such ‘cursed’ marks, and he erased mine.
I was so relieved that I almost collapsed back onto the bed, but Gunilla supported me.
”Um…Gunilla…”
I spoke to Gunilla again.
There’s so much I need to tell the Clan members.
But first, I have to tell Gunilla everything.
Since the days in Reedull Town, she’s always been by my side through the tough and sad times.
Can ya get up, Romy? Ya need some grub.”
Gunilla gently lifted me up as I tried to speak, and helped me sit on the bed.
Oh, and I’m starving.
Glancing at the magic tool clock on the bedside table, it was past 8 p.m.
”But everyone must have finished eating by now.”
”I’ve kept some food for ya, Romy, don’t ya worry.”
Saying so, Gunilla stood up from her chair and lifted me, declaring, “First, let’s fill your belly!”
”It’s okay, I can walk!”
”Romy…”
Gunilla gently lowered me to the floor, her eyes filled with kindness as she looked at me.
”No matter what happens, I’ll always be on yer side, Romy… That’s why…”
Gunilla gently clasped both my hands in hers.
”I’m going to tell everyone everything. I’ve been worried about you for so long…”
”Yeah… ya’re right, I reckon.”
Of course, that’s what I intended to do.
Tell them about my past in the Royal Capital and my recent foolish actions.
I might have to leave this place because of it.
(Again… I’ll be all alone… but I did something that warrants it…)
”Let me say it again, Romy… ‘No matter what happens, I’ll always be on yer side.’”
Gunilla’s words, spoken as if to reassure me, reached my downcast self, feeling gloomy.
”Gunilla… I shouldn’t be here anymore… because of what I’ve done…”
Unable to hold back the rising emotions, I clung to Gunilla and cried out loud.
”Romy… do ya want to stay here?”
”Yes, I want to stay here forever! I want to stay with you, Gunilla, and everyone!”
”Then stay. If they ask ya to leave, I’ll be right there with ya, too.”
Gunilla kept stroking my head until I stopped crying.

We went downstairs to the dining room and had a late dinner together.
”Ms. Hanna… thank you. It was delicious.”
”You seem to have had a tough day, so please relax and take a bath.”
Ms. Hanna, who had made tea for us, cleared the dishes and took them to the kitchen.
”Romy…are you alright now?”
Ms. Kazumi appeared at the entrance of the dining hall.
With her hair wrapped in a towel and wearing a nightgown, she seemed to have just come from a bath.
”I’m sorry…I made you worry.”
I stood up from my chair and bowed to Ms. Kazumi.
Now taller than me, Ms. Kazumi gently touched various parts of my body and finally my cheeks, looking at me with concern.
”Your body seems fine, but…”
”Ms. Kazumi…there’s something I need to tell everyone.”
Ms. Kazumi knew that I had taken Ms. Sasha out.
She probably also had her suspicions about the situation.
”…If you don’t want to talk about it, you don’t have to.”
Ms. Kazumi is always so kind.
Even though she must know I’m the cause of this commotion, she doesn’t blame me; instead, she worries for me.
(I really don’t want to leave this place.)
Tears welled up in my eyes again.
Seeing this, Ms. Kazumi gently embraced me.
”I’ve done something terrible…but I don’t want to leave everyone, I want to stay here forever…”
”You don’t have to leave. You’re family, Romy. You can stay here as long as you like.”
I’m tempted to rely on Ms. Kazumi’s words, but I need to take responsibility.
Holding back my tears, I asked Ms. Kazumi once more.
”…I want to tell everyone properly. About my past…and what I’ve done this time…”
”I see. ──Gunilla, could you gather everyone in the dining hall, please?”
”Yes, ma’am!”
Gunilla dashed out of the dining hall.
And Ms. Kazumi held me tight.
