Chapter 464-2 Romy’s Family

Everyone in the clan house had gathered in the dining hall.
”We are but guests here. We need not hear Romy’s tale…”
The 3 ‘Oni-kin’, Ms. Gargantua and her kin, tried to leave out of courtesy, but I asked them to stay, as I heard they had helped with this matter.
Conversely, Ms. Leona, the wife of Mr. Toldo, said,
”I heard this incident involves the ‘Hazel Family’ from the Royal Capital. If we can learn about those scoundrels, I’d like to hear the story.”
So, I decided we would listen together.
”I’m so sorry for all the trouble I’ve caused. And…Mr. Hiroya, Ms. Rena, Ms. Gargantua, thank you so much. And…”
I knelt down and bowed my head to those I truly needed to apologize to.
”Ms. Sasha, Ms. Shinobu…I’m truly sorry!”
”Oh? Is Romy apologizing?”
”Yes. We were troubled by these scoundrels called Bolt, but to Lady Romy…”
Ms. Sasha and Ms. Shinobu responded playfully, but I had to tell them everything.

I managed to escape and found my way to the town of Reedull, where I met Gunilla.
And today, I was captured by Bolt and branded with the ‘slave mark’.
Under Behest’s orders, I helped abduct Ms. Sasha…
”I… I sold out Ms. Sasha──betrayed my clan… Because of me, Ms. Shinobu might’ve died… So… I can’t stay here in ‘Famière’ anymore…”
”I thought it was something else… but it’s this?”
As I spoke with my head down, I heard Ms. Liz’s exasperated voice.
”…You’ve been through a lot in the Royal Capital, haven’t you?”
When I lifted my head, Ms. Dorothy was looking at me with a sad expression.
”They branded me as a ‘slave,’ and I couldn’t disobey…”
”‘The master is responsible for the slave’s actions,’ right?”
Ms. Rena and Marti exchanged glances and nodded to each other.
”Don’t say you can’t stay here… I don’t want you to leave, Romy.”
”Ah feel da same… Ah don’t wanna lose such a capable Porter, ya hear me?”
Mr. Hiroya and Ms. Simona said sadly.
Looking around the dining hall, I saw that all my other clan members…
(Were crying…?)
”I don’t want to leave you either, Romy! We’ve been friends since we first met in the Great Labyrinth, right?”
Lotta broke down in tears, and Noriss rubbed her back to comfort her.
”Ms. Romy… you… you’ve been through so much…”
”But it’s over now, right? Mr. Hiroya apparently took down that Bolt.”
Ms. Karina buried her face in the table and wept, while Ms. Gieze wiped her tears with a handkerchief.
”Those who threatened Romy are gone. I want you to feel safe and continue your exploration with peace of mind.”
”Yeah. I don’t want Romy to leave either. Having cute companions like her motivates me.”
”Mr. Gorge!”
Ms. Asuka crossed her arms and glared at me, while Mr. Gorge, who was making light of the situation, was being pinched by Ms. Ariane, who was holding Craig next to him.
”Aluda, we’re making a Black Bow for Romy.”
”That’s right. We need you to keep supporting us from the rear.”
”Yeah, Meluda’s making a new backpack for RomRom too.”
”I’m the same as Gorge. Cute girls are my source of energy.”
Ms. Leona smacked Sir Toldo on the head with a ‘harisen’ she had somehow acquired.
”Lady Romy!”
”Don’t leave us!”
”I don’t want to go!”
Suu, Noo, and Uu cried, covering their eyes, as Ms. Hanna and Ms. Carla rushed to comfort them.
”I don’t want to leave either… I don’t want to be separated from my beloved family… Sis Romy…”
SanSan (Sandra) seemed to be holding back tears with all her might.
”They’re good companions… a good family. Why would you leave them behind, Romy?”
”Well, wherever you go… I’ll find you, even if I have to tie you up and drag you back.”
Violet smiled, and Lady Lilith laughed heartily.
”That’s how it is. Sasha and Shinobu feel the same… and the rest of the family won’t blame you either, Romy. In fact──”
Ms. Kazumi, looking dazed, hugged me tightly.
”I won’t let you go…”
Warm tears flowed down my cheeks.
(Ms. Kazumi’s… tears…?)
”Ain’t ya lucky, Romy? Y’all’s fambly, after all.”
Gunilla gazed at me with them teary peepers.
(Can I stay here…? Can I stay with them…?)
I couldn’t hold back any longer.
I burst into tears.
