Apocalypse Saga 36

Chapter 36 Forbidden Library Key

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

The meeting with Felshiol lasted for several hours. It was a meaningful discussion where opinions and questions were shared, rather than just giving formal reports.

They mainly discussed two things during the meeting. One was their demands to the empire. Charles believed that excessive taking was not beneficial, and governing with mercy and justice was essential. It was also important to maintain the Emperor’s dignity to some extent.

If he boldly came to Babellion against the opposition and then returned having accepted everything, it would cause resentment among the nobles. For Babellion’s smooth governance, it was important to keep the Emperor as a pawn, and damaging the Emperor’s prestige wouldn’t be beneficial.

On the other hand, giving too much would make it seem like Babellion was defeated, which is also inconvenient. If the Emperor returns to the country and says, “Babellion was not a big deal, haha,” it would affect Babellion’s reputation. So, finding the delicate balance of not giving too much or taking too much was a challenging aspect.

And the second thing is the flow of the audience on the day of the meeting. It is actually a quite important topic to discuss where and how the Emperor will come.

As a result, the Emperor and his entourage decided to take a carriage ride through the main street of the 100th floor of Babellion, allowing a large crowd to watch. This is a kind of show of power, but it also helps to leave an impression of what Babellion as an organization is like.

There was also a suggestion to hold everything in the castle of the old capital without involving Babellion, but Charles decided it would be better to show the Empire what Babellion is all about.

For the Empire, Babellion is an unknown organization and world. The only things they know are that there is a god named Charlierel, there are people who can communicate with them, and they have enough power to occupy the old capital and burn down the imperial capital.

That’s why they need to let them know. Babellion is a country. It has rulers and citizens. It’s a nation inside a tower.

While thinking about such things, Charles walked through the 100th floor castle with Satsuki. They were heading to a place that quietly exists at the corner of the castle, after going down the stairs.

Satsuki, who doesn’t know where they are going, looks around curiously. But it’s not strange that Satsuki is acting that way. Currently, Charles and the others are in a place far from the areas where the bedrooms and military council are in the castle, so they wouldn’t normally go there unless they specifically aim for it.

When they opened the door, darkness spread beyond. As Charles stepped inside, the wall candles lit up with a soft sound, revealing a long corridor that opened wide.

Without hesitation, Charles continued to walk in that eerie world.

In Babellion’s castle, located on the 100th floor, there is a basement. Walking down a creepy, long corridor with paintings and doors evenly spaced, they come to a wooden door. It looks ordinary, like any other room door, fooling anyone who doesn’t know. But beyond that door is not a room, but an endless spiral staircase.

Guided by the faint shadows of torches, Charles and Satsuki descend the staircase leading to the underground. The dim world is enveloped in silence, with only the sound of their footsteps echoing softly.

After a few minutes of descending the staircase, a huge door appears as the stairs come to an end. Unlike the entrance door, this door is adorned with ominous patterns in a crimson hue, twisting like vines. Two terrifying demon statues guard the door from both sides, giving the impression that it leads to a special space at first glance.

 ”What is this place?”

”You don’t know… Well, it’s not surprising. I rarely come here myself.”

While listening to Satsuki’s murmurs, Charles stood in front of the gate, looking up at the door. As if eagerly awaiting its rightful owner, the door slowly creaked open with a low, rumbling sound, revealing the interior to Charles.

Inside, there was a floor covered in red carpet. Countless bookshelves formed mountains, and books flew through the air as if they had wings.

The name of this vast underground space was the ‘Forbidden Library (Seraeno)’. It was a place where important books and items related to magic and skills were stored.

And “she” was in the ‘Forbidden Library (Seraeno)’.

 ”It’s been a while, Liliaspios.”

As soon as the door opened, Charles and Satsuki were greeted by the guardian of the Forbidden Library (Seraeno).

 Her name was Liliaspios.

With her long, deep blue hair that had an unusual style, she possessed an exquisite beauty. However, her drooping, beast-like ears and the menacing twin horns of a goat protruding from her temples kept people at a distance. She was a “Goat Demon (Baphomet)”. A demon that mesmerizes, deceives, and corrupts humans.

”Hello, Your Majesty. Welcome to my castle”.

Liliaspios said this, letting her tongue snake sensually across her full lips. At the same time, her ample bosom, shamelessly exposed to the open air, swayed like the udders of a milk cow, adorned with exotic fabric and dangling jewels that chimed like wind chimes.

”It’s quite unusual for a mere steward to come to my castle.”

Satsuki, having seemingly guessed the location upon seeing Liliaspios’ face, reacted to her words by reaching for her long sword and narrowing her eyes. But Liliaspios, sitting calmly on a crystal, wore a confident smile and said,

”I apologize. By the way, Satsuki-sama, did you sleep well last night?”

Those words seemed to make no sense, leaving Charles puzzled. Satsuki felt the same, but she quickly changed her attitude after a few seconds.

 ”What… Wait, you dare?”

 ”What are you talking about?”

”Satsuki-dono, last night, while thinking of Your Majesty, she…”

”H-How dare you… Did you dare to peep!?”

Satsuki interrupts Liliaspios’ exposure with a loud voice.

”I don’t have the authority or the audacity to peep into the commander of imperial guard’s bedroom. I simply know everything about Babellion as a Librarian Officer. So rest assured, I didn’t witness any of Satsuki-sama’s shameless acts.”

Blushing and trembling, whether it’s anger or embarrassment, it seems that Satsuki was comforting herself last night. In reality, Charles had Reshia and Seshia as his companions last night, and Satsuki left the bedroom before going to sleep.

”Instead of pleasuring yourself, I would gladly embrace you… After being so unruly in front of me, is there still something that embarrasses you?”

While shouting “My Lord! My Lord!” and exposing everything from the woman’s hole to the butt hole, Charles looked at Satsuki in astonishment.

 ”Well, it’s not like that, I mean…”

When Charles saw Satsuki’s face turn as red as the hakama she was wearing, he burst out laughing and said,

”Then tonight, let’s embrace each other.”

Charles pulled Satsuki’s body closer and firmly grabbed and kneaded her buttocks, as if saying, “You are my woman.” While they were soft on the bed, Satsuki’s buttocks, when standing, would bounce back the fingers like a warrior’s, and the rubber ball-like elasticity felt pleasant when kneading. Satsuki squirmed uncomfortably.

”Um, my lord… in a place like this…”

Satsuki, whose hem grabbed by Charles’ clothes tightly, had a face that was not that of the commander of the imperial guards, but that of a beloved mistress in bed.

”Even though you scared ‘The Crying Children’, the silent commander of the Imperial Guards are weak women in front of Your Majesty.”

Charles nods to Liliaspios, his voice filled with admiration as he watched the scene unfold.

”Satsuki is an amazing woman. As expected of my close aide, she has impressive physical strength.”

”Very well then. If Satsuki-dono is ever unsatisfied, please feel free to let me know. I take great pride in my Babellion’s finest bosom, which is like a sweet nectar.”

As Liliaspios said this, she shook her large breasts, which were bigger than her head. Just a slight movement made them sway, conveying their softness. It was clear that they would provide an incredible sensation if he were to be embraced by them. However,

”Indeed, your breasts are enchanting. If you were truly a woman, I might have considered it.”

 ”Hehehe. But I also have a v**ina.”

”There’s no way I could embrace someone with such extraordinary features too. Please forgive me.”

”This is quite harsh. My subordinates seem to be quite pleased with my situation, though…”

Liliaspios, seated on a large crystal, has the lower body of a goat with the same color hair, and a p**is case resembling a horn stands proudly. It’s not just an ornament, it’s a practical item filled with contents. She is a hermaphrodite, and her extraordinary features surpass even Charles’.

The subordinates she mentions are the thirty librarians who work in the “Forbidden Library (Seraeno)” – all of them succubi and incubi, beautiful and handsome, and professionals in matters of intimacy.

During the day, they dress formally, working on organizing and cleaning books, but at night, they gather around Liliaspios and indulge in org*es, like a sabbath surrounding a demon. It’s hard not to feel a little curious about joining in.

”Playing with you like this is enjoyable, but I want to get to the main point.”

Charles forcefully changed the subject as if to hide his ulterior motives. Charles didn’t come to the ‘Forbidden Library (Seraeno)’ just to have a casual chat with Liliaspios or take a leisurely walk. While there is a part of him that wanted to see Liliaspios, there is a more important purpose.

”I need the key that I entrusted to you. Do you have it with you now?”

In response to Charles’ question, Liliaspios opened her sleepy goat-like eyes wide and replied,

”Of course. This is the most important key for Babellion. I keep it with me at all times.”

Proudly, Liliaspios pushed her hand into her cleavage slowly and began rummaging around, then pulled out a key.

”I will return it to you.”

Charles nodded gracefully and took the key, which was respectfully handed to him by Liliaspios.

”You appear to be managing well.”

The golden key, faintly warm to the touch depending on body temperature, is adorned with four wings. It is undoubtedly the key that Charles had been seeking.

”I am Liliaspios, the ‘Librarian Officer’ who governs the knowledge and memories of the Six Officers. It is my greatest joy to work for Your Majesty.”

”I have no doubt about your power and loyalty. Otherwise, this key would not be entrusted to you.”

”Oh… What a kind heart you have. While the ignorant masses fear and fight against Your Majesty as an evil demon, to me, you are like a compassionate and merciful mother. I would like to once again pledge my sincere loyalty to you.”

Upon seeing Liliaspios bow deeply on the crystal, Charles once again focused his gaze on the key in his hand.

This key is not just a decoration. It serves a purpose as a key, meaning there is a door that can be opened by this key. Charles’s purpose is to use this key to reach a certain place.

 ”Satsuki.”

Charles turned around and looked at Satsuki. The sound of calling her name was not just a simple call.

Satsuki, who had been caught mast***ing, met Charles’ gaze and blushed slightly again. However, upon seeing his serious expression and hearing his voice, she immediately returned to her position as the leader of the imperial guards and kneeled on the spot.

”Do you swear absolute loyalty to me?”

It is a question that needs no asking at this point. Charles has placed enough trust in Satsuki to expose his vulnerable sleeping state to her, and he already knows what words she will respond with… but now that he holds this key, he must ask.

”Yes, I, Satsuki, swear absolute loyalty to you, my lord. I affirm that I have never betrayed you before, and I will never do so in the future.”

Their gazes meet with each other. Her eyes are undeniably straight and clear, devoid of any doubt, and transparent.

”I have never doubted your loyalty, but just to be sure. Forgive me.”

Charles tightened his grip on the key.

”Not as an apology, but as a symbol of trust, I will allow you to accompany me to the place I am about to go.”

* * *

When the dazzling light of transition ceased, there spread before them a celestial world. Charles stood on top of a magic circle drawn on the cold floor, resembling white marble, and was captivated by the sight.

 ”…Where is this?”

Satsuki’s voice of awe came from behind, and Charles regained his consciousness. She must have had a face like a child looking up at the night sky for the first time. It was such a beautiful sight.

 ”Follow me.”

Leaving only those words behind, Charles headed towards the staircase that led to the heavens before him. However, it was not a staircase made of wood or stone, but rather a staircase of light. As Charles’s shoes touched it, the staircase, with its running colors of light, gave him a warmth akin to being embraced by a mother’s arms.

They walk slowly, stepping carefully on each step of the staircase.

When they look down, they see clouds floating beyond the stairs made of light, and below that, they can see faint city lights. But when they look up at the sky, they see many rainbows stretching across the clear blue sky. It feels like a place between day and night, but it’s not something that can happen in real life, it’s like a world between different dimensions.

If they keep climbing the stairs made of light, they’ll reach the end.

If they think of the stairs made of light as their journey, then that place is the land of light. It’s like a world where there’s a film of light between the night sky and the blue sky, and every time they step, it’s like ripples of rainbow spread out.

When they suddenly turn around, the first point of transit has turned into a dot.

 ”Wow… it’s so beautiful.”

Satsuki exclaimed with a voice full of excitement. What captured her heart was the pure white Sky Palace standing tall in the world of light. The palace shines like a crystal of light and has a mysterious outline around it.

It is a sacred sanctuary, or rather, the very essence of Babellion’s sacred sanctuary.

In the faint night sky beyond their feet, the true nature of the city lights is the glow of the 100th floor of Babellion. Yes, this is high above the 100th floor of Babellion. However, even if someone fly, they cannot reach it, let alone see it. It is a place that can only be entered by using Liliaspios’ “Four-winged Key”.

Standing in front of the door of the Sky Palace, the gigantic door opened silently as if it had been waiting for its master.

Babellion’s 101st floor, the “Garden in the Sky” (Empireo).

It is the uppermost floor of Babellion, hidden even further above the 100th floor, and it is a sacred sanctuary. The only person allowed to step into it besides Charles is none other than him.

”Welcome to the ‘Garden in the Sky (Empireo)’!”

With those words, Charles was greeted by a beautiful woman named Strena, who resembled a goddess from Greek mythology. She folded her four wings on her back and bowed deeply, causing her ample bosom to gently tremble.
