Chapter 129 The Curriculum At The Harbor

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

 ”Ah, it’s getting smaller…”

 ”I took it out, so…”

 ”Hehe…it’s becoming like this.”

Lana is holding my rod with a carefree expression, and it seems like she’s in curiosity mode right now.

It’s not a bad thing. I want her to be more interested.

 ”It’s getting softer. Amazing.”

 Squish squish.

It’s not a shock, but it’s being held by her fingers.

It feels good…but it’s a bit troublesome. I need to get ready to take it seriously soon.

”Uh…if you do that, it’ll get big again.”

”Ah, I see. Got it…I’ll make it pretty and take it out.”

So, the two of us take a shower together.

Since we’re at a hotel near the beach in midsummer, we need to be careful with our appearance. We can’t let our guard down, even if we’re not on a date.

We lather up soap and wash off just like yesterday.

 Sparkling, shining Lana.

Her golden hair is wet and disheveled, and it’s extremely arousing.

 ”Phew…”

Thanks to my earlier release, I’m cool now. If not, I might have attacked Lana, who was covered in soap bubbles.

After finishing our shower, we quickly change into our school uniforms and leave the hotel. We head towards the harbor.

However, this harbor isn’t for tourists. It’s a warehouse district, a harbor for businesses.

As we approach the meeting spot, there are fewer tourists. I move my nose slightly.

”The smell of the sea is getting stronger.”

”I can’t see the buildings, but I think the sea is just nearby. Besides――.”

Right now, Lana and I are in our school uniforms, and our atmosphere is almost the same as when we’re at the magic academy. Until now, we were in tourist mode.

”The magical energy in the air feels different. It’s completely different from the royal capital.”

”Yeah, I think so too, Ms. Lana.”

I didn’t feel it that much at Vitz Station, but now that we’re close to the sea, the difference in magical energy is amazing.

It’s like an invisible, humid air――the magical energy is densely wrapping around my body.

”Can you use magic normally, Alba?”

”Difficult magic might be hard to use if I’m not used to it.”

Magic changes its properties depending on the land. It was written in the textbooks, but I finally understood what it meant.

As we walked a bit further, we arrived at the gathering place for today’s curriculum.

It’s a warehouse district made of bricks, and the sea is just nearby. We’re right next to the harbor. The instructor explains what we’ll be doing today.

”Today, we’ll be learning about the sea and magic. I think you’re all aware, but… the sea stores magic, and its surroundings are affected by it.”

The instructor walks briskly along the harbor.

”In recent years, magicians are expected to be active even in distant lands. Along with that, advanced magic certification exams also include practical tests that simulate a marine environment. This curriculum is a preparation for that.”

So, we’ll be doing basic magic on the harbor and getting our bodies used to it.

The participants are a mix of old and young, men and women. Lana and I might be the youngest ones.

There’s no unnecessary theory, and we dive right into using magic. It’s similar to the lessons at the magic academy.

 ”It’s very practical.”

”That’s their style. It seems like participants have gathered from all sorts of places.”

So, we spent the morning using magic non-stop near the harbor.

Lana and I, who have a lot of magical power, were fine, but… a considerable number of people were showing signs of fatigue.

”You two seem to have plenty of energy. Ah, which school do you belong to?”

 Lana answers.

”We’re from the Royal Magic Academy.”

”Wow! That’s impressive… as expected from that school. The level of magic power is extremely high, and even the basic amount differs depending on the curriculum.”

I hadn’t really thought about it, but it seems like the evaluation of the magic academy is high.

For lunch, we had paella and dark bread. There were a lot of small shrimp mixed in.

The afternoon ended in a similar way.

”That’s all for today! Please receive the booklet that summarizes today’s lesson. If you think you’ve achieved results in this curriculum, we’d be happy to have you take other courses!”

So, we disbanded in the early evening.

As for the difficulty level of the curriculum, it might be a bit lacking for those who have been trained in an academy.

No way, Lana and I were on the same wavelength. Thinking about it, it’s pretty tough.

 ”Phew, I’m pretty exhausted.”

”Even basic magic is different in terms of sensation.”

By basic magic, I mean stuff like physical enhancements and convenient daily life magic.

Like magic to generate water, or magic to create sparks. Well, in this world, one could just use pipes and matches, though…

”Hey, we’ve got some time, what do you want to do, Alba?”

 ”…Yeah, that’s true.”

Yesterday, we met that suspicious souvenir shop owner at the food stall.

He’s pretty shady, if you ask me.

I wanted to confirm some things beforehand.
