As I headed to the “Horned Ox Inn,” I noticed signs saying “Private Party” at various taverns.
It seems that many places are booked because the main team from a big company has returned and wants to relieve the stress they built up in the dungeon.
That means… there’s a chance the “Horned Ox Inn” is also booked.
But since I can prepare my own food, I only need access to the reserved room. Even if that room is unavailable due to a private party, I can just go back to my rented room.
So, I thought it would be fine to just show my face and at least let them know I’m back from the dungeon, and I decided to head straight to the “Horned Ox Inn.”
When I arrived at the “Horned Ox Inn,” the entrance was closed, and next to it was a wooden box with “Private Party” roughly written on it with charcoal or something.

Listening in, I could hear the voices of some men who didn’t seem to have the best behavior.

For now, I’ll sneak in and check things out.
I went around to the back of the “Horned Ox Inn,” made myself invisible, and floated toward the reserved room on the second floor.
I made the magic thread very thin and slipped it through the window gap, then opened the window from the inside to complete my entry into the empty room.
”?”
It’s no surprise that this room is empty, but… there’s no sound coming from the surrounding rooms at all.
Is the whole place rented out?
Well, if someone is buying women, it would make sense… but it’s dinner time, and people probably just started eating in the dining hall on the first floor, so maybe that’s why it’s quiet.
Thinking that, I decided to check the dining hall situation. I slipped the magic thread from the door gap into the hallway outside, confirmed that no one was there, and then left the room.
To avoid making noise, I moved while floating and got closer to the stairs when I suddenly heard loud voices from downstairs, like the ones I heard at the entrance.

Amid those voices, a familiar voice suddenly shouted loudly.
”Hey, you guys are from ‘Gem Snake,’ right? You’re kicking out other customers, and you think you can just eat and drink for free!?”
Ah… so it was ‘Gem Snake’ that had reserved the place.
Hearing that voice, I thought there might be a problem, so I planned to step in if anything happened as I headed down to the dining hall… About 50 men were occupying the dining area, reaching out to women while eating and drinking, and it seemed Ms. Tirica was the one yelling at them.
It looks like they didn’t actually reserve the place; they just kicked out the other customers, which made it feel like a reservation.
On top of that, she probably knows about the recent issues with ‘Gem Snake’ and is worried they might skip out on the bill.
There should be male employees around, but maybe Ms. Tirica is taking on that role because she’s a woman?
She’s probably thinking about the fun after the meal, and being a woman, she might be less likely to get hurt.
From my experience, when a man speaks up in situations like this, it often leads to violence…
Well, even with a woman, there are guys who will resort to violence, and in those cases, the injuries can be worse for the woman than for the man, so I can’t say this is the best approach.
In the middle of all this… one man stood up and walked over to Ms. Tirica, looking down at her from the front.

He was a pretty big guy, almost close to being overweight with a shaved head, but Ms. Tirica, while feeling intimidated by the silent man, continued to speak.
”W-What do you want? We can’t just let you eat and drink for free!”
Ms. Tirica said this as the man picked up the necklace hanging around his neck and adjusted the two dog tags so they were easy to see.
One was the adventurer guild registration, and the other was… just as Frederica had told me before, a metal plate with a snake that looked like it was wrapped around something invisible.
It seemed Ms. Tirica knew they were called “Gem Snake,” and the man probably showed it to confirm that.
Then the man opened his mouth.
”You sure bark a lot, knowing we’re the ‘Gem Snake’.”
”You guys have been going too far lately. Not only are you eating and drinking for free, but you’re also forcing yourself on women. Isn’t ‘Murder Princess’ supposed to be back soon? Aren’t you scared of her?”
Ms. Tirica hinted at reporting this to Ferris, but the man just laughed it off.
”Hmph, that ‘Murder Princess’ will soon just be a female.”

I was surprised at the same time as Ms. Tirica.
If she’s just going to be a female… does that mean they plan to weaken Ferris to the point where she’s no different from an ordinary woman?
How could they possibly do that… I wondered, when another man spoke up to the big guy.
”Captain, it’s better not to let that out too much…”
”I’m not saying anything more than that.”

It was just a guess, but from what I heard, it seemed like they had found a way to weaken Ferris, which is why the recent “Gem Snake” had been getting so bold.
However, it seemed they didn’t plan to share any more details, so there was nothing I could do about it.
It might be a good idea to inform “Silver Orchid” about this information, just in case.
However, I find it difficult to enter “Silver Orchid’s” office alone, so I’ll go to “Silver Orchid Inn,” where I can enter without any problems, and have them contact me.
