I touched the door of the ruins and said the answer in Japanese.
…If it’s correct, it might open.
*Rumble rumble rumble*
”Ah… it opened.”
With a creaking sound, the door slowly opened.
”Wow! Rob, that’s amazing!”
Rumi couldn’t hide her surprise and joy, looking really happy.
”…Um, Rob, can you read this writing?”
Alice asked, looking a bit curious.
”Yeah, I can read it. …I’ll tell you why I can read it someday.”
I looked at the two of them and smiled a little apologetically as I replied.
As we moved through the open door, a small room spread out before us, and at the back, there was a pedestal with nothing on it.
When I got closer to the pedestal and looked at the top, I saw something written in Japanese again at the front.
In the center of the pedestal’s top, 7 magic stones were embedded in a row.
”‘Show your power. If you can do this, I will give you what I have made. Each magic stone, fill with a thousand Magic Power, in the order of fire, water, earth, wind, light, darkness, and lightning’… it says.”
”A thousand Magic Power, huh… I can help with my strong attribute, wind!”
”Hehe, I’ll fill in fire and earth for you!”
If the two of them help, I can do the remaining 4.
I’ve never used dark attribute magic before, but since I saw the magic from that weak demon race the other day, it should be easy to just convert my Magic Power to dark attribute.
As I checked my status, I tried to pour a thousand Magic Power into it… oh, right, it shows “?” now.
Well, since this size of magic stone can hold about 15 hundred at most, I’ll just fill it up completely.
When a magic stone is full, its surface gets a little brighter.

Rumi was also thrilled with anticipation.
I thought about the possibility of traps, so I wrapped my body in Magic Power and carefully opened the box.
Inside the box, there was a handgun that didn’t fit in a fantasy world, along with a piece of paper that seemed to be an instruction manual.
I read out loud what was written on the paper.
”Um, this weapon is called the Magic Condenser Device [Immortal Seven].”

”This looks like a small staff…? I’ve never seen a shape like this.”
Alice peeked over my shoulder, her eyes sparkling with curiosity as she said,
”Wow… I wonder if something comes out from this part?”
Rumi leaned in to look at the gun’s muzzle, tilting her head in confusion.
”I’ll read more… um, it says this weapon handles the ‘condense’ and ‘firing’ when releasing magic. If we put attribute Magic Power into it and pull the trigger, it can shoot powerful magic,”
I carefully continued reading the manual.
”That’s amazing! I want to see it in action!”
”Me too! Let’s go outside and try it out!”
The two of them looked at me with eager expressions, clearly interested in the gun’s abilities.
Of course, I was curious too!
”Alice, do you think there’s a good target to try shooting outside?”
”Well… oh, should I check the guild for a hunting request? We could easily defeat monsters up to C-rank.”

”If Rob is going, I’ll go too!”

Alice walked up to the guild counter and greeted the receptionist with a smile.
”Ms. Karina, hello! Can you show me today’s hunting requests?”
The receptionist, Ms. Karina, smiled back and pulled out a stack of hunting request papers, showing two of them to Alice.
”Lady Alice, welcome! For today’s hunting requests, I recommend the ‘Hobgoblin’ and ‘Silver Wolf’ in the ‘Black Forest’.”
”Looks like Hobgoblins are spotted deep in the forest, and Silver Wolves around the area. Rob, is this the monster you want?”
”Yeah, I’ve never fought either of them, so I’m excited!”
”Hehe… Ms. Karina, I’ll take this request.”
As Alice declared with a smile, Karina nodded and started the paperwork.
”Understood. …Um, who are these two?”
”They’re my friends. They came from a neighboring country and will be with me for a few days. …They’re really strong~♪”
Alice said proudly.
”A neighboring country, huh? This place has a chronic shortage of people, so I wish you would move here.”
”…Rob, are you going to move to this country?”
Alice asked with a hint of hope in her eyes.
”U…umm, I do want to team up with Alice and go on adventures, so… maybe one day, I could come here… I guess.”
(If it wasn’t this country, I’d happily say yes.)
”If Rob moves here, I’ll move in too!”
Rumi said cutely, her eyes sparkling.

We were walking deeper into the “Black Forest” outside the Sphere Kingdom.
Like my mom, I had to draw out Magic Power from my Magic Power organ, or even weak monsters would come after me. But since Alice and Rumi were with me, it seemed like we wouldn’t run into any monsters if we went deeper.
”These trees are pitch black. Is it because of the neighboring demon race’s country?”
When I said what I felt, Alice nodded.
”Yes, it is said that the miasma from the demon race’s country has caused this black discoloration.”
”Ugh… this place feels kind of scary.”
Rumi said, frowning and looking worried.
I activated Magic Detection.
Soon, it seemed like we would be able to fight some fairly strong monsters.
…Still, I wonder if there are any stealth skills or magic in this world?
In ‘Princess Rave’, there were some job skills like that, but normal skills and magic didn’t have it.
I should ask my mom about it next time.

Finally, we reached a point where we could see the hobgoblin.
The hobgoblin was on guard, but it didn’t come closer or run away.
”Alright, from here, let’s test this weapon’s performance!”
At my words, Alice squinted her eyes a bit, looking worried.
”From here…? We’re still pretty far away, though.”
”Yeah, if we get too close, it might run away.”
”This is exciting! Good luck, Rob!”
Rumi cheered for me happily.
I firmly gripped the Immortal Seven, aiming it carefully at the target enemy.
I decided to use earth magic power and pulled the trigger.
──Boom!
It seemed I managed to hit the hobgoblin right in the head.
”…Oh, it looks like it works well against a single enemy!”
”The time from charging the magic power to shooting is really fast, and the magic speed after activation was fast enough to follow with my eyes.”
”That’s so cool! Let me shoot next!”
After enjoying the Immortal Seven for a while while searching for the requested monster, we reported our quest completion at the guild, then headed back to Alice’s house in the underground town to relax until dinner.
