Volume 2 Chapter 3 Living Together Begins
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
’Wait a minute, are you coming now?’
I get a reply on my phone faster than ever before. While looking at the message, I press Risa-san’s room number on the panel in front of the entrance.
’Huh? Really?!’
I hear Risa-san’s confused voice through the intercom.
”Sorry. My guardians are overseas, and I can’t contact them right now. I have no one else to ask but you, Risa-san.”
”I’m, I’m opening the door now! Just wait a bit!”
She’s too easy to trick… If she falls for this so easily, it could be a problem. Even though I’m the one tricking her, I start to worry about Risa-san.
I mean, a guy suddenly visiting a girl living alone at night, even if they are dating, shouldn’t just be let in easily.
If she were a rich girl from a good family, I think she would have been told that much. But maybe Risa-san’s family isn’t like that.
When I enter the entrance hall, the concierge stops me. It seems that the elevator won’t work unless a resident is with me.
The concierge checks with Risa-san again.
”Thank you for waiting. When you go out or come back, please either give the guest key to Rokushoushio-sama or return it to the front desk.”
It’s inconvenient for anyone who doesn’t live here to come and go. How strict is the security? I take the guest key and get on the elevator.
”Are you okay? Did you get burned?”
As soon as the door to her room opens, Risa-san greets me in a baggy hoodie and shorts. Apparently, in her mind, my house had burned down.
”I’m fine; it wasn’t a fire. But since my guardians are away, I might lose my place to live soon because of the rental contract.”
”R-Really? Can they kick you out that quickly? I have extra room, so it’s fine… But can you contact your family?”
”I sent them an email for now.”
When I was moving here, I really did tell them I would live at Risa-san’s place until March.
They are basically hands-off and don’t care where I am or what I’m doing, but if I go missing, it would look bad, so I think they would at least file a missing person report.
If someone says I’m just overthinking it and they don’t care that much about me, that’s fine too. I’m not at an age where I need to worry about that anymore.
”If this room is okay, feel free to use it.”
This is the room I used a month ago when I got heatstroke and needed to rest.
”Thanks.”
I put my things in a corner of the room and start unpacking.
