Chapter 80-2 Encounters With Akuzawa

That timing might be a little tricky, but we’ll manage by having Yukari and Naoko on-site, and I’ll give Miki instructions via email to make some adjustments.
The only question is whether Katsuji will agree to the breakup.
To that end, we’ll concoct a story about Miki’s family being in Hakata, and I’ll offer to cover the apartment rent and security deposit in full, proposing that they move there together.
It’s annoying to have to spend money on Katsuji, but I’m chalking it up as a necessary expense.
If we set things up like that, even Katsuji should agree to the divorce.
Far away in Hakata, after Miki suddenly loses interest in Katsuji and leaves after they start living together, he won’t be able to come back here easily, since he won’t have any money.
Of course, I intend to move Mizuki and Kyouka out of their current rental, and just in case Katsuji does come back, I’ll hint that his debt repayment isn’t complete, and put some pressure on him.
”So, that means you’ll be lending my woman for a while, right?”
”Yes, is there a problem?”
”W-well, it’s not exactly a quid pro quo, but I’d like to, um, get involved with another woman…”
”Eishin, you…”
”Hirofumi, this has nothing to do with you. I’m putting up my important woman, and on top of that, she’s even having to deal with that filthy old man.”
I almost said that he got Miki because of me, but the truth is, I never wanted to use my woman for such a role too.
Besides, Nishikuze is probably just asking if he can use Aphrodisiac on another woman.
Unlike the divine medicine, if Aphrodisiac is discovered, it’s a clear crime.
It’s powerful enough to overwrite and erase even the drugs Akuzawa was using.
Of course, I don’t want it to be used carelessly and cause a commotion, but I’ll leave the final decision to Nishikuze.
”As a reward, I gave you Aphrodisiac, didn’t I? And I gave you this woman, too, right?”
I said, and looked at a woman other than Miki.
It’s Sato Hanae.
It had been a while since I last saw Sato Hanae, and she had changed completely.
Hanae now seemed completely captivated by Nishikuze’s presence, even beginning to exude a sultry atmosphere.
Leaning against Nishikuze’s robust body from the opposite side of Miki, she was still casually caressing her thighs.
To think that just when I first met her, she had left an impression of being a worn-out, gloomy woman with no makeup at all; seeing her like this now, she could very well be quite the catch.
She’s not exactly my type, but by general standards, she must appear to be an attractive woman.
Moreover, Hanae is wrapped only in a pure white training outfit, and the way her nipples are visibly poking through indicates she’s not wearing any underwear.
The traces of the mother who once mourned her son’s death were nowhere to be seen; she was now a lewd woman driven mad by desire.
After going through so much suffering at the hands of Akuzawa, this is what’s become of her.
Though I was the one who brought this upon her, what I feel right now is not guilt.
In the end, she’s just a complete stranger I happen to have met at the hospital.
It’s not surprising that a cold-hearted person like me wouldn’t even feel pity for her.
Yet, for some reason, I find myself intrigued.
”Ah, no. That’s true, but… there’s a woman I’m a little curious about right now.”
”And what of it? If that woman is a sacrifice for Vepar, then there’s no helping it, but I thought I said I wouldn’t interfere with who you use the Aphrodisiac on. Of course, if things blow up because of it, you’ll be the one held accountable.”
”Well, the thing is, this woman is suffering from a serious illness. I was wondering if there’s anything that Shiena-sama’s mysterious medicine could do for her.”
I had subtly informed these guys about the existence of the poison from Mūldure.
That said, I had no intention of handing it over casually.
Rather, I had merely hinted that such a medicine existed as bait.
”Besides, the girl’s father is quite wealthy. If I can cure his daughter’s illness and then make her my woman, it would mean a big pile of money rolling in for me.”
”Eishin, I told you to stay away from that.”
It was supposed to be about making money, but somehow Higashikawa stepped in.
I was curious about that, so I decided to ask Higashikawa about it.
”What’s going on? Higashikawa-san”
”W-well, that girl is actually only 13 years old, you see. I told her it was wrong, of course.”
”Aa… Nishikuze-san. You seem to attract trouble regularly. I warned you before about Vepar. You know what happened to those who defied Vepar…”
”W-what? I didn’t do anything to defy Vepar! Look, I still have my ring, see? It’s perfectly fine. All I did was ask a few questions…”
”I told you to stop involving minors. If you can’t follow that rule, then you’ll face the consequences.”
”Y-yes, I understand.”
As always, Nishikuze’s womanizing ways leave me speechless.
He’s generally easier to handle than Higashikawa, but if anyone’s going to cause trouble, it’ll probably be Nishikuze.
”Speaking of which, what happened to Kusunoki Seiichiro?”
”Are you interested too? Higashikawa-san”
”No, it’s not like that. I heard that man angered Vepar.”
”Ah, right. But Vepar decides what happens to him. Even if Kusunoki Seiichiro’s crime is brought before me…”
”Hmm? Is something wrong?”
”No… nothing at all.”
I guess.
The thing that’s been bothering me is the connection between Kusunoki Seiichiro, Sato Hanae, and Akuzawa.
I understand that it was an accident, of course.
But, doesn’t that mean Kusunoki Seiichiro and Kyouka, as well as Akuzawa, were somehow involved?
Sato Hanae’s face overlaps with Kyouka’s.
I stood there, frozen, for a while.
