Chapter 594 Zamie Abeille ★
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
(Zamie’s POV)
(Why…did things turn out like this…)
I hid in the shadows, blending with the darkness in the corner of the hall.
”GROAN! GRAH! NNNNGH!”
”AHH! AHH! AHHHHH!”
Just a little ways off, the Party’s sub-leader, the female Fighter Kriemhild Abendrot, was pinned down by a giant orc, while next to her, the female Archer Ulva Kosch was being assaulted by 2 orcs.
(It’s all…because of my mistakes…)
* * *
We started from the Fifth Floor and made our way through the maze smoothly.
Along the way, we heard the new dungeon master announce that a Party led by Famière’s captain had conquered the Great Labyrinth, boosting our morale.
Even though we had passed our scheduled return date, we pushed forward towards the Sixth Floor boss, our goal in sight.
And by the next morning, we had successfully taken down the 3 orc bosses of the floor.
”Everyone, are you hurt?”
The Party Leader, Fighter Dieter Kryber, stabbed the final blow into the orc, then turned to look at us.
”I’m okay.”
”We’re fine over here too.”
The dwarf female Fighter Kriemhild and the large Fighter Genza Akunata responded, each leaning on their double-headed axe and bastard sword, clearly exhausted.
They looked like they were carrying a lot of fatigue.
”I’m not injured either.”
Even though I said that, I was exhausted too.
I wiped the orc blood and grease off my Toldo-made short sword with a cloth and sheathed it.
”Over here…we’re running low on arrows.”
”I’ve…got some magical power left, but I’m tired…” another voice trailed off.
Archer girl Ulva picked up her used arrows, muttering, “Useless…” while the magician girl, Thelma Daluege, leaned on her staff, sitting down on the spot.
”We’re almost out of food, and we’re about to hit the limit on storing Magic Stones and loot,”
Etgar Rottner, the Porter, collected the Magic Stones left by the Orcs, turning to the Leader, Dieter.
”Yeah. We’re past our return date, and everyone’s probably at their limit. Let’s collect the loot here and head back. ──How’s it looking, Zamie?”
Asked by Dieter, I nodded in response, then sat in front of the treasure chest, taking a tool from my pouch.
(First… gotta check for traps)
Without touching the box, I started examining the whole thing thoroughly.
* * *
”Let’s take a break for a while. Everyone, rest your bodies. ──Thelma, prepare the teleportation scroll since Zamie’s gonna collect the loot and we’re heading back.”
Behind me, I heard the sound of everyone sitting down.
The Sixth Floor in the first Great Labyrinth was tough for me, a Rank E, but… I’ve managed to do my job as a Thief without any problems so far.
Plus, thanks to the easy-to-handle short sword, I’ve been able to do pretty well in battles.
(Amel, Mira, Ema… those guys, they’d be surprised if I told them I made it to the Sixth Floor…)
Everyone’s comrades who swore to do their best.
They’d be surprised… and happy.
(Come to think of it, I wonder if Ema and Mira have found a good Party yet)
While I was thinking about that… I found a trap.
A small hole in the lid of the wooden box.
(A mechanism that shoots something when you look for something weird during the lock picking)
I picked up one of the tools and started to disarm the trap.
The work was easy, and I succeeded in disarming the trap right away.
Next, I took out the tools to unlock the key, and started fighting with the keyhole.
About 3 minutes after starting.
──Clink…
With a small sound, I finished my work.
(Took a little longer than I thought… When I get back, I’ll have to ask Mira for some more tips)
Ugh, I sighed at my own lack of skill and lifted the lid of the treasure chest.
──SNAP…!
A tiny sound, like something snapping.
’If you keep slacking on your Thief skills…you might not get picked up by any Party, you know?’
Ema’s words echoed in my head, and just then, a piercing alarm bell rang out through the hall.
* * *
”Alarm!?”
”Sorry! Looks like the trap had a double layer…”
Dieter jumped up, looking around cautiously.
I apologized and immediately drew my short sword, getting ready for action.
”Nah, I’m just glad you’re not hurt.”
Kriemhild stood up too, readying her double-bladed axe.
(What’s coming?)
The ‘Alarm’ trap, when triggered, summons monsters.
Sometimes it’s wandering monsters nearby, and sometimes, in dungeons like these, they just ‘pop’ up, as I learned in training.
I focused on Detection, sharpening my senses to find the monsters’ presence.
”Above! Something’s coming!”
I felt a massive presence.
I yelled and looked up at the same time.
(No way…did a floor boss show up again…!?)
”Gwaaaah!”
”Kyaaa!”
Two Orc Lords…crashed down, crushing Dieter and Thelma.
And… a few Orcs too.
”D…Mr. Dieter!”
Mr. Dieter, crushed by the Orc Lord…his head already smashed in with a huge club.
”Damn it! Thelma! The teleportation scroll!”
”It’s no good! Thelma’s been done in too!”
Kriemhild yells, as she mows down the Orcs with her huge double-bladed axe, but Ulva’s anguished voice answers back.
”Zamie! You hide! Attack when you see an opening!”
Kriemhild, who had already taken down a few Orcs, charged towards the Orc Lord that killed Thelma.
”Oooooh!”
Genza, swinging his bastard sword, responded to her.
The Orc Lord that crushed Dieter’s head, right in front of me, slowly turned around.
My legs almost gave out from fear, but before it could see me, I managed to slip into stealth mode.
* * *
The battle… was a loss for us.
Kriemhild and Genza managed to take down one of the Orcs, but the other Orc caught Etgar trying to escape and snapped his neck… The fight was over when Archer Ulva, who was fighting back with an unfamiliar short sword, was pinned down by the two Orcs.
”Drop your weapons. Do you want this girl to die?”
The Orc held a club against Ulva, who was now captured by the two Orcs.
”Damn…”
”…”
Kriemhild and Genza placed their double-bladed axe and bastard sword on the ground.
(If only I could sneak up on the Orc…)
Kriemhild and Genza would’ve been able to launch an attack right away.
But…
(There’s no cover for me to get behind him…)
There was no way for me to move from my hiding spot to the Orc’s back without being seen.
If I had been in his blind spot, it would’ve been easy to get behind him, but right now, I’m hiding behind a rock, trying to stay out of his sight.
And… right in front of my eyes, the Orc’s club swung down and… blew Genza’s head off.
* * *
(If only I had noticed the other trap…)
”Ahh♡ Ohh♡ No… stop♡ I… I’ll break♡”
”Dwarf girls are tough. I’ll pound my meat into her, and she’ll just keep taking it… moaning and begging for more.”
Kriemhild, with her small frame, was being held from behind by the Orc, who was thrusting his hips against her.
Their union was… the Orc’s massive meatstick forcing its way into Kriemhild’s tiny slit, stretching her open.
”No… stop♡ I can’t take any more♡ I’m gonna… cum♡”
Kriemhild’s voice had changed from a scream to a breathy moan, filled with pleasure.
(I heard that Orc semen has an aphrodisiac effect…)
White liquid was overflowing from their joined bodies, creating lewd squelching sounds in the hall.
”Ngh! Ngg! Ohh♡ Ngh♡”
Ulva was also completely n*ked, her legs spread wide, as the Orcs continued to ravage her.
I’m pinned down by another Orc, its huge member forced into my mouth.
I can barely breathe, but the dwarf, Kriemhildmhild, must have taken the Orc’s load multiple times… Her moans of pain are mixed with pleasure.
(What should I do…?)
I could take down the Orc behind Kriemhild right now.
If I could just land a critical hit… No, that’s not the right move.
(First, I need to take out these two Orcs. I can surprise them both. And then…)
I gripped Toldo’s short sword tightly.
