Volume 1 Chapter 2 Expelled for Being Indecent

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

My hazy thoughts cleared up fast, and I saw everything change around me.

I was standing in a place like a foreign palace from a dream.

It had a high ceiling, thick stone walls, and smooth stone floors beneath my feet.

On the floor, strange patterns were carved.

They were just like the magic circle I saw earlier.

 I looked around, and I wasn’t alone.

The students and our teacher stood on the same magic circle.

Everyone looked confused, scanning the area with blank faces.

I didn’t know what to do, so I just stood there.

 But then I noticed something.

 Strange people surrounded us.

They wore clothes from another world.

They looked like they walked out of a fantasy movie.

Noble men and knights in shining armor stood lined up.

It seemed I really had come to another world.

And in the center was a beautiful woman.

She wore a fancy dress, shining like a princess.

 ”Nice to meet you, heroes.”

 ”H-Heroes…?”

Someone whispered in response to her words.

”Yes. We called you, brave heroes, to save our world.”

Her words spread a hush over the crowd.

The students looked at each other, confused, and the teacher wore a puzzled look too.

The princess-like woman stepped closer and spoke to us.

”This world is threatened by the Demon Race. They are trying to destroy humanity, taking many lives. In this crisis, we used ancient summoning magic to call heroes from another world.”

Everyone, including me, froze at her words.

Other world, Demon Race, and heroes.

The more I heard, the more unreal our situation felt.

But the people from this world looked at us like we were their saviors.

 Could this really be happening?

The atmosphere was heavy, and everyone was confused.

The students were puzzled about how to react to this sudden call to a different world.

The teacher’s face showed he was confused too.

The middle-aged homeroom teacher scratched his bald head, trying to calm down, but his face clearly showed worry.

 ”Wh-what is going on here…?”

 His voice shook.

He was supposed to lead and take care of us, but now he was just confused.

Seeing him like this made the students even more worried.

 ”I-I want to go home…”

One girl whispered with tears in her eyes.

The other students started to murmur in agreement.

”Isn’t this a kidnapping!? There’s no way we can be heroes! We’re just high school students!”

 A boy raised his voice.

His words mixed fear and anger as he glared at the strange people from another world.

This made the students even more uneasy.

Being dragged to another world and being told it was their duty was unacceptable.

In the chaos, one boy stepped forward quietly.

While everyone was shaken, he moved closer and spoke up.

”If you really need help, we should do something.”

His words made the noise stop for a moment.

The strange people looked at him with hopeful eyes.

But the other students still looked confused.

”We’re called heroes, right? Then we have to be able to help. I don’t know what this Demon Race is, but we were brought here for a reason. We can’t just ignore it!”

His words felt like a dream.

It was hard to believe reality.

But surprisingly, some students began to agree with him.

”There must be a reason we’re here. Isn’t this fate? If we’re here, maybe we can save the world and be heroes!”

This guy was living in a fantasy.

 I was secretly shocked.

We were forced into this strange world.

Yet he acted like he was enjoying being a game hero.

His attitude felt completely out of touch with reality.

But surprisingly, some students nodded at his words.

”Well, maybe… Yuuki is right. This could be fate.”

”Yeah, this is not normal, so maybe we should just try it…”

 They call Yuuki a dreamer.

The students slowly started to talk, their faces showing excitement.

Maybe they can’t help but be dreamy because something so unusual is happening in front of them.

”Right? A hero saving the world sounds so cool!”

The boy, Yuuki, who talks about ideals, smiles even more confidently.

He stands proud like he’s already a hero.

The other students look at him, nodding like they share that dream.

It feels like they can’t see reality at all.

No one seems to think about the dangers or responsibilities waiting for them.

They are just excited for the unknown adventure.

 I feel anxious.

Is it really okay to go along with this?

Saving the world can’t be that easy.

”This is impossible. There’s no way we can do that. Think logically, everyone.”

Suddenly, a boy spoke up, cooling the mood in the room.

He frowned, clearly not accepting this situation.

”Let’s be realistic. We’re just normal high school students. There’s no way we can be heroes.”

His calm and realistic words made everyone stop for a second and look at him.

 He had a point.

But for some students lost in dreams, his words sounded harsh.

 ”Shut up, Yamada!”

A flashy boy poked the one who spoke out.

He was the same guy who just suggested karaoke to me, Charao (Flirty Guy).

He lightly tapped Yamada on the shoulder to silence him and glared at him.

”Complaining won’t help. Talking about reality or common sense now makes no sense.”

His words made the air feel tense.

But his face looked more like he was just going with the flow, not really serious.

Yamada looked down, unable to argue as he was poked.

It was true, the situation was definitely strange.

”Anyway, let’s hear the princess’s story! We can think about what to do later.”

When Yuuki said that, Yamada grumbled but stayed quiet.

”Now, I will continue my explanation,” the princess said.

She looked relieved and spoke again.

You could see she was a bit comforted by the students’ reactions.

”If you defeat the Demon King, I’m sure you’ll find a way to return to your world.”
