Suddenly, I like Love Hotels.
You know, the Love Hotels where you do naughty things with girls.
I love doing naughty stuff with girls, of course.
But I really like Love Hotels themselves.
Love Hotels are actually a lot of fun.
First, you can just drop by and use them for a few hours, which is super convenient.
Many people use them to take a break on a date or as a hotel instead.
If you suddenly want to stay over, they are open 24 hours, so that’s nice.
Privacy is another great thing about them.
You can check in without seeing anyone at the front desk, and you can go straight to your room from a private parking lot, so you can relax without worrying.
And the rooms are unique!
They have a special feel you can’t get in regular hotels.
Each room has a theme, like some fancy rooms with chandeliers or playful designs.
Just thinking about them is exciting.
Plus, some have big baths, karaoke, and game consoles, making them more entertaining than regular hotels.
Also, the prices are good!
They are usually cheaper than normal hotels and have great amenities, which feels like a deal.
Especially if you’re just using them for a short “break,” you get a good stay even for a little time.
Overall, Love Hotels offer a fun escape and a special charm that normal hotels don’t have.
So, I really like Love Hotels.
I’m Aisuku Taro, thinking about all this.
I’m just a bus driver for a small charter bus.
The engine’s vibrations buzz through the seat as I grip the wheel, focused on the road ahead.
The bus is loud with high school students going on a school trip, singing karaoke inside.
I let out a small sigh.
”♪ Where do you come from tomorrow~”
The girls were singing loudly with the music from the speaker, and the boys were clapping and joining hands.
It was more lively than usual.
Well, it’s a school trip… I get why they want to party.
But if it gets too noisy, I can’t focus, and that’s a problem.
”Good grief.”
I tried to concentrate on driving, but the noise from behind kept creeping in.
”Hey driver, sing along with us!”
Me?
Just then, laughter burst from the back all at once.
It seems they were serious.
”No way, that’s too much!”
I waved my hand in a panic and kept my eyes on the road.
”I’m driving, you know!”
But they wouldn’t stop.
The excited boys started saying things like, “Come on, old man, join in the fun!”
I’m not an old man.
I’m only 30, you brats.
Hey, teacher, make them stop.
Don’t just pretend to sleep, baldy.
Come on, give me a break.
I gripped the steering wheel again and relaxed my shoulders a bit.
Safety first, this isn’t the time for that.
Grumbling in my mind, I kept my eyes on the road and pressed the accelerator.
The outside scenery was a calm country road.
But inside the bus, it was still lively.
This excitement isn’t going to die down anytime soon.
I just hope we get to our destination soon.
Once we arrive and have our break, we can head to the town.
Then I can enjoy some fun at a love hotel with a call girl.
Just as I was daydreaming like that, the sound from the back suddenly changed.
The lively laughter turned into a confused scream in an instant.
Without thinking, I furrowed my brow and tried to figure out what was happening.
At that moment, the view in front of me changed completely.
The road, the bus, everything was twisted, as if the air was shaking.
Around me, lines of light appeared out of nowhere, and a circular pattern formed on the outside of the bus.
It was like… a magic circle.
”What the hell is this?”
The moment I whispered, the light suddenly got bright, and my vision turned completely white.
I couldn’t even hit the brakes; I was swallowed by the light.

When I looked around, I was in a different place.
No, it wasn’t a place… it was nothing.
Just an endless, white space with no floor or ceiling.
There was no sound, no wind.
I wasn’t sure if I even had a body.
Where am I?
I looked around but saw nothing.
The bus I was on, the students, everything was gone.
It felt like I wandered into a dream.
I put my hand on my forehead and took a deep breath.
What is happening?
Is this a dream?
Maybe I’m just sleeping?
Right, it’s definitely a dream.
I must have dozed off while driving.
This is bad; I could crash!
I need to wake up right now──
”No need to do that.”
Suddenly, a voice echoed.
I looked around in surprise, but no one was there.
Then, a little glowing orb appeared in front of me, floating like it was alive.
What is this?
”This is the Dimension Adjustment System.”
The glowing orb began to speak.
Its voice was androgynous, not male or female.
I just stared at the light in a daze.
”Dimension Adjustment… what does that mean?”
”I will explain. The group of humans around you was summoned by residents of another world.”
”Summoned? What does that mean?”
Confused, I tried to understand.
”To achieve their goals, they summoned people from your world. They planned to summon only 31 people. But since they couldn’t be exact, others around you got caught up too.”
31 people.
That’s the number of high school students and the teacher.
”So you’re saying I got caught up in this?”
”Yes. You are one of those caught in the summoning.”
No way.
Me?
Summoned to another world?
That’s ridiculous.
This isn’t a comic or an anime.
”The system timed the summon to have the fewest people involved. It was best at that moment.”
”So the best time was when the bus was moving?”
”Exactly. We managed to limit the effects of the summon to just one person.”
There were 31 people close together, and that timing had the fewest others around.
A moving bus was really the closest we could get.
I see, that limited the victims.
But the big problem is that I am the victim.
”What happened to the bus? The driver vanished while it was moving!”
”The bus and the nearby road disappeared because of the summon. Everything else was broken down and vanished in another space.”
In the normal world, a hole appeared in the road and the bus disappeared.
This is a big deal.
It’s like a modern-day disappearance.
Just thinking about the chaos at my company and the passengers’ schools makes me feel sorry.
But that’s not important.
I should worry about myself.
Can I survive in this other world?
Can I even go back home?
As I stood there confused and speechless, the Glowing Orb continued.
”Returning to your original world is very hard. But, those caught in the summon will get compensation from the system.”
”Compensation?”
”For us developers, it’s not good when someone else is summoned. So, adjustments will be made for those caught, separate from the summoner, so your thoughts and tastes are reflected, and your abilities are boosted.”
My thoughts and tastes?
What does that mean…
”You’ll find out more details after the summon. Now, have a nice journey.”
”Huh? Wait, explain more──”
The Glowing Orb cut me off and slowly faded away.
Suddenly, I was alone again in a white space.
”What am I supposed to do?”
I grumbled, but got no reply.
My consciousness started to fade away.
