I heated and sterilized it enough, so there shouldn’t be any worry about food poisoning.

Talking about cooking with Ms. Erin was fun, and I ended up staying until it got dark.
She gave me some herbs that go well with chicken ham as a souvenir.

Ms. Erin handed me a small crystal bottle, filled with clear amber honey.
”Honey is originally a pure ingredient, but since we take it from the bees, it inevitably gets a bit impure.”
Flowers produce nectar to attract insects, so they are unrelated to killing or stealing; it’s probably not impure when the bees collect it.
Collecting honey is like stealing nectar from bees, so I guess it builds up a bit of karma.
”This pure honey was collected from the natural drips at the bottom of the beehive. It’s completely untainted and tastes amazing.”
Pure honey is famous as one of the materials for elixirs.
If I take it to the alchemy guild, it would sell for a crazy price.
”Um, I appreciate it, but I can’t accept this. If I have it, it will probably get tainted quickly, right?”
”That’s true, but even if it gets a little impure, it won’t change the fact that it’s delicious.”
”Please, spare me!”
I don’t have the guts to lick honey more expensive than gold, so I return the crystal jar to Ms. Erin.
”Ta-da! Congratulations! You passed the trial. What will you do now?”

”…What trial?”

If this were Japan, I’d probably be forced to buy some shady materials later, but I don’t think Ms. Erin would do that.

I should just be happy about it.
”Now, I will grant you the Elf’s blessing, so please straighten your back and close your eyes.”
I was mesmerized as Ms. Erin’s fingers wrote glowing letters in the air, but I hurriedly closed my eyes.
”In the name of I＊＊＊＊＊, I bestow this blessing upon this small one.”
I couldn’t catch the name; it must be a language humans can’t understand.
Even though she’s a beautiful woman over a hundred years old, it’s shocking to be called small in so many ways.
While I was thinking silly things, the mana around us grew thicker, and I started to feel warm all the way from my core.
Suddenly, something soft pressed against my lips, and a cold tongue quickly invaded my mouth.
A sensation like cold and warm pleasure surged from my spine to my brain, making me feel dazed.
It felt like only a few seconds, but in the pleasure, time seemed to stop forever; it was such a strange moment.
Huh?
Did I just lose my first kiss?
My partner looks like a girl, but inside she’s an old woman, and it was a French kiss!
”I’m sorry to be with an old lady like me, but it’s a ritual, not an act of love.”
When I opened my eyes, Ms. Erin was looking at me with a slightly apologetic expression.
I see, since it’s a ritual, it doesn’t count.
Still, Ms. Erin is beautiful even up close.

When I said that, Ms. Erin broke into a big smile.
It was a lovely smile, like that of a fairy.
