Volume 3 Chapter 79 We’ll Need A Way To Get Around, Right? II

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

(What is she saying, this girl…)

”Oh, Witch! No escape, you hear me?!”

Gao, the beastman with a fierce look like a street punk yelling at a young woman, steps forward snarling.

Priscilla backed away, bumped into Natra, and wobbled over towards Kian.

Renaud… still doesn’t seem to be coming.

”Your Excellency Maribel! I only showed you the goods! Why don’t we talk first?”

 ”No questions asked~”

 ”Stay still, you damned slut!”

”Damned slut?! …Well, fine. I’ll let it go, you lousy tiger… Your Excellency, I have no intention of fighting. You didn’t like the goods? If you want, I can sell you the key anytime, y’know, really easy to go!”

”──Gao, stop it. Listen to what she’s saying.”

 ”Huh!?”

”Didn’t hear me? Remove the gag.”

”Hey, princess! I’m tellin’ ya, don’t let this guy talk! My body hair’s buzzin’ hard just thinkin’ about it! Magicians shouldn’t talk, after all!”

”No, she seems to have some kind of trade-off for her release…~. First, I’ll look at that item and decide if I should listen to her plea.”

”…Tch… Lucky you, Witch. But if you try anything funny, I’ll tear you apart with my claws, got it?”

 ”Yeah, yeah, thanks for that.”

Priscilla sighs and looks up at Kian, pouting her lips.

 ”…I believed you’d help me.”

”You’re the kind of person who drinks people’s kindness and goodwill to the bone before tossin’ it away, huh?”

”That’s so mean! Lord Kian, you thought that about me?! I’ve helped you so many times before!”

”I feel like you’ve brought even more trouble than before. If my memory’s right…”

”──Master Kian, Priscilla, let’s go over there and talk. Everyone, wait here for a little while!”

 ”Kian”

Under everyone’s watchful eyes, Christy stepped out of the circle, eyes flickering with agitation.

 ”Christy”

”I’m glad you’re safe. I wanted to visit, but I was taking care of Manon.”

”No, that’s good. You should focus on your own duties.”

”No, I didn’t. I messed up because I was playing around and twisted my ankle during the day…, and I couldn’t do things like check the food for the meal or give instructions to the servants because I was at home. I’m sorry, if I had been watching, something this serious wouldn’t have happened.”

”The one at fault is the one who served the poison, Ms. Priscilla. You did well.”

As Kian said this, Christy trembled her lips and threw her arms around him.

She was embraced and kissed with a loud smooch.

Renaud’s guard whistled a low “hoo,” but Kian could only clench his teeth under the scrutiny from all directions.

 Especially… Maribel’s smile was terrifying.

Priscilla didn’t even try to hide her scowl.

He considered straightening up and groping Christy’s ass right in front of everyone, but before he could, a confused voice called out from about 20 centimeters to his side, “Ki, Kian…?” causing his muscles to tense up immediately.

 ”Sa… Okina. What’s up?”

 ”Uh, that…”

Sarah was looking back and forth between Christy and, for some reason, Rufna, beneath her mask.

Christy seemed to be wary of the suspicious woman in the mask.

So, she put her hand on Kian’s chest and moved away from Sarah.

 ”Kian? Who’s this person?”

”This is a new party member, Okina. We met in Châtillon, and our interests aligned. We’re going to be working together for a while──it’s a companion thing.”

”Oh… I see. Um, nice to meet you!”

Christy greeted Sarah with a bit of awkwardness.

The black-haired Witch continued with a beautiful smile, unaware that Maribel and Priscilla were staring at her intently.

”I’m Christina Famille, the Head Magician. I’ve been in a relationship with Kian for 2 months──”

”Ah, Okina? You know, Christy is, um, what should I say, someone very important to me. We’ve been through a lot, and she’s helped me out a lot since we met. That’s the kind of relationship we have.”

”I see… I’m Okina. Nice to meet you, Ms. Famille.”

”Nice to meet you too! Kian’s been taking care of me. This person is a bit odd, but he’s not bad, so be nice, okay?”

”Of course. I know Kian pretty well.”

”Really! Kian’s actually pretty easy to read! Hehehe.”

Christy said with a smile toward Kian.

Her big boobs kept pressing against him, causing a bad reaction in his groin──but Kian’s instincts screamed that he had to endure or else he’d die.

”Christy, can we save the chatting for later?”

 ”Oh, right.”

”What’s up? Is this a fight or something?”

”No, it’s not. ──Master Kian? Over this way, please.”

”Yes, Your Excellency. Christy, see you later. And… Okina, so yeah, that’s what I mean.”

”What do you mean by that?”

Sarah’s voice sounded a bit rough.

Even though the mask hid her face, Kian felt like her eyes were glistening…

She muttered softly in Azrael language as she stepped back into the shadows where Rufna waited, away from the light of the bonfire.

”Your romantic life is just too flashy. It’s kinda overwhelming.”

 ”No, it’s actually…”

”Sorry. I know it’s really none of my business… ugh…”

 ”Hey!”

’You’re being called out, pretty boy.’

(Shut up. Damn it… Christy, why are you always so bad at timing?)

”Kian? You should head over to Manon.”

 ”Yeah, you’re right.”

Kian smiled at Christy, then headed toward the shadows where Maribel and Priscilla were waiting, wanting to escape Sarah’s gaze.

The two were waiting with their arms crossed, and for some reason, the air shifted from blaming Priscilla to accusing Kian.

But thankfully, both seemed like adults when it came to love, and they quickly moved on from earlier warm moments and dove straight into the real topic.

”Here, this is a ‘Magic Stone of the Underworld.’ It’s made with silver mithril chains for a necklace.”

”If I hold this, I can enter that dream world?”

”Yes, that’s right. Can’t you believe me?”

Maribel was looking through or flipping over a red magic stone necklace, then suddenly she lifted her face and shook her head.

”If we’re making a contract, I think Priscilla is a trustworthy person. But… I wish you’d stop doing things like poisoning the food this time, you know~.”

”That’s why I have no memory of it.”

”────. Very well. If you admit, you’ll be judged by me. As a girl, you probably have no choice but to say that.”

Maribel let out a big sigh, “Haa,” and crossed her arms in front of her flat chest wrapped in a white negligee.

Compared to Christy in witch clothes, her chest was overwhelmingly flat.

 ”Your Excellency, is this okay?”

”Unfortunately, the secret world Priscilla prepared is useful. I’ll have Christy investigate it later, and if there’s no problem, I’ll use it. ──How much~?”

When Maribel turned her dark blue eyes, Priscilla bowed gracefully.

 ”It’s free, Your Excellency.”
