Gaedaf gives another sly grin.
He’s got the face of a rugged businessman.
”Alright, I guess I’ll have to pull out the big guns.”
”I’m looking forward to it.”
As I lift my glass, Gaedaf follows suit, raising his own.
”To the success of the auction──”
”Ah, cheers.”
The glasses clink, ringing with a clear sound.
Savoring the smooth sensation of the fine liquor sliding down my throat, I ponder.
This is a chance I’ve finally grabbed hold of.
I want to prepare the best items and ensure success.
Enjoying the time with the guys, I plan out my next strategy.

”So, here’s the deal.”
Back at the Love Hotel, I quickly tell them about the auction.
The girls listen with keen interest.
”An auction, huh? I see, you had that option.”
Tifi nods.
”But what are you planning to sell?”
Lifia tilts her head.
That’s the issue.
If it’s sellable goods, I can churn out as much as I want with my ability.
The ‘Love Hotel’ has all sorts of items that could fetch a high price in this world.
Frankly, I think anything I sell could go for a high price.
But auctions aren’t held that often.
I want to pick something that will earn as much as possible in one go.
”How about the wine you gave to the blacksmith Beckus?”
Kéa suggests.
Indeed, having the renowned master blacksmith Beckus endorse the wine isn’t a bad idea.
Plus, he’s a dwarf.
His judgment on wine should be spot-on.
”Not a bad idea, but no.”
I got that wine from a dungeon chest, and if the item I auction is later found to be “coincidentally” obtainable, it could raise suspicions.
And it’s also important that the item’s value can be appreciated right there at the auction.
Consumables like food or the shampoo I’ve sold before might not be convincing enough at the venue.
It can’t be something you only realize the value of after using it.
It has to be something that’s valued by those in the know.
I open the menu and review the list of items I can produce at the ‘Love Hotel’ again.
Something that can sell for a high price.
An item that won’t cause issues even if it’s a one-time auction.
Something whose value can be understood on the spot.
”…How about jewelry?”
Lifia suggests.
”One-of-a-kind jewelry pieces aren’t an issue, especially rare gems and precious metal accessories tend to fetch high prices.”
”True.”
If they’re rare treasures from a dungeon, their value should be impressive.
Competition will definitely heat up.
Plus, they’ll make perfect headliners for the auction.
”How about that one?”
”This one seems great too, right?”
The girls stared excitedly at the flashy jewelry popping up on the screen, chatting animatedly about their choices.
”This is stunning…!”
”That ring looks like something a royal family member would wear, no joke!”
”I guess anything with gemstones sells for a chunk more?”
Tifi, watching their back-and-forth, suddenly remembered something and spoke up.
”Hey, Mr. Taro, there was a product I’d been thinking about before…”

After discussing with them, the items for auction were decided.
We greeted the auction host and officially handed over the goods.
Their names made the listing, and now all we could do was wait for the big day.
Finally, the day of the auction had arrived.
Upon arriving at the venue, the first thing I saw was a massive, lavish building.
Its exterior was pure white marble, adorned with intricate decorations.
A red carpet led to the entrance, flanked by burly guards with grave expressions.
The place felt more like a section of a royal castle or a noble’s mansion.
”Wow, this is incredible…”
”A high-class auction for sure… I feel way out of place.”
Lifia and Tifi exchanged nervous looks as they spoke.
Today, both wore gorgeous dresses.
Lifia’s dress was a soft, pale blue.
Its modest neckline gave way to a skirt that flared out gently──delicate and innocent.
Her golden hair and blue eyes shone brilliantly in the elegant outfit.
Tifi wore an elegant wine-red gown.
The dress hugged her curves, boldly showing off her ample chest without shame.
She oozed mature, seductive charm.
”You both look amazing.”
”Hehe, thank you so much.”
”Make sure to escort us properly, okay?”
Meanwhile, Kéa and Yomi were stuck watching the love hotel back home.
They kept grumbling about it, but there was no way around it.
Only a limited number of people could accompany them inside the auction hall.
So, I came to the venue with Lifia and Tifi, who are strong in knowledge and management among our members.
The two left behind are also able to watch us through the ‘Love Hotel’s’ External Information feature.
We want them to enjoy the atmosphere, at least.
”I’ve been waiting. You’ve really cleaned up nice, haven’t you?”
Waiting in front of the venue was a Gold Rank adventurer, Gaedaf.
”Gaedaf, you don’t look much like an adventurer in that getup.”
As usual, he had a large build, but today he was dressed a bit more formally.
Unlike his typical practical gear, he was wearing a black jacket that gave off a sophisticated adult vibe.
”Well, you gotta get used to places like this if you want to make money, right?”
Gaedaf leads us with a casual shrug.
We give our names to the doorman and are granted entry without incident.
Then we pass through the doors.
Beyond the doors was a vast hall with a luxurious chandelier shining overhead.
Already, many nobles and the wealthy had gathered, quietly chatting and laughing together.
The air was filled with the aroma of fine wine and the refined atmosphere unique to people of power.
”Alright, this is where the real show begins.”
We had finally stepped onto the stage of the auction.
I’m looking forward to seeing how much our ‘Love Hotel’ goods will be valued.
