I sat on the Amazawa family sofa as if I were the master of the house, ready to deliver the final notice to Katsuji, who sat properly in front of me.
Of course, I’ve already settled the debt, and Kyouka has gone to the hotel several times. Mizuki should also be aware of the circumstances from Kyouka, but I’ve kept both of them from talking to Katsuji—it would only lead to more debt. It’s strange that she was told to bring her daughter Kyouka along, and if she happened to run into Katsuji, who was cheating, it would seem unnatural.
There was no trace of anger at that moment, so it’s certain Katsuji holds no lingering feelings. On the contrary, Mizuki was desperately trying to curry favor with me, and there was even an atmosphere suggesting she was happy to have found a reason to break up with Katsuji. I stood up from the sofa and kicked Katsuji’s body with all my strength. Mizuki, who was right next to me, shuddered for a moment at my sudden action but lowered her head and didn’t move from her spot.

Katsuji’s body was repeatedly kicked as if being stepped on from above with a crunching sound. Though there’s some restraint, it wouldn’t be surprising if it left a bruise, but it’s unlikely to break any bones. The reason for doing this is to strongly impress upon Katsuji that James Masuda is a person from the underworld—it’s better if he becomes traumatized. As long as I’m next to Mizuki or Kyouka, he wouldn’t dare get close.

By this point, Katsuji’s desire to protect his daughter and ex-wife is overshadowed by a sense of crisis. Would it be better to just kill him here?
