Volume 6 Chapter 3-2 The Elf’s Secret

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

Ms. Hóa is to blame, not me.

”Putting living things in a magic bag is very bad! What if someone sees? People are already watching us.”

Now I feel like someone is using magic to watch us. I thought Ms. Hóa’s magic wall would stop them.

I was not careful. Changing magic without thinking is dangerous. Ms. Hóa told me many times.

The magic bag is made by elves. It has rules to stop bad use. More than 90% of its magic is to stop crimes. Too much, right? Putting living things inside is one rule.

My bag is like the magic wallet, but I made it myself. I only copied the time parts and ignored the rest. I knew it was a time tunnel, so I removed the rules.

”I thought it was too strong.”

”If used wrong, it could hurt many people.”

If there are no rules, is removing them bad?

”I will be careful. But these girls have seen it.”

I start taking elves out of the bag. No one is watching here—it’s a small, separate world.

Magic can’t look into other worlds. If it could, I could talk to Japan.

The room fills up fast. Lying down takes more space.

”This room is too small for more.”

 ”Put them back!”

Ms. Hóa looks very serious. Angry women are scary. Why must I listen?

 Still, I put them back.

”What will you do with them?”

”I thought you could send them home, Ms. Hoa. Elves live long, so their parents might still be alive.”

Ms. Hóa is quiet for a long time. I don’t speak.

”You’ve made this hard for me. If I take care of them, I must erase them all.”

Her voice is sad. Erase means kill, right?

 ”Why? Can you tell me?”

”If you knew, you would be erased too. Do you still want to know?”

Ms. Hóa is scary. I want to live.

”Never mind. I don’t want to know.”

I thought it might be a sickness, but if knowing means death, it’s different.

Asking Ms. Hóa was a mistake, or maybe it was good, depending on the secret.

”Should I just keep them in the bag?”

Things in the bag go to the future when taken out. It’s not teleportation. It’s a way to delay problems. What if they stay in there?

 ”That’s okay.”

Ms. Hóa looks better. Delaying is better than killing.

”But you know the secret too. Can’t we make them promise not to tell?”

Elves seem honest, like in cartoons.

”Secrets can’t be risked, no matter what.”

 ”But Schulz knows, right?”

”True! What do we do? What do we do?”

She didn’t think of that? She made a mistake. What’s the secret? Old, forbidden magic?

”We can’t stop Schulz. That dragon must stay hidden.”

 Well, he’s still alone.

”Is it safe to free non-elf girls?”

 I don’t know the secret, so I can’t decide.

Gigas, who could destroy the world, must stay, but others should go home if they can.

I take out girls one by one, showing Ms. Hóa. She’s surprised by the pretty orcs and goblins. After laughing a lot, she speaks and tells the elf secret.
