Rising-Monk v3c125-3

Volume 3 Chapter 125-3 The Wandering Straight Punch II

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

 ”…! …────!”

Kian’s full energy seemed to distort the air around him, a palpable tension rippling outward like a shockwave.

A few people nearby could feel it and started to move away, but Kian ignored them. He swung down his Windsong Blade, which was set to unleash its full power.

A white light filled the dark space, with burning eyes shining through.

Those who quickly jumped away survived, but the two people chasing Kian were too late to escape. They became the targets of a strike from the magic sword.

 In front of Kian’s eyes.

The warrior monk, who dodged into the air and stood with moonlight behind him, jumped at Kian.

 ”────”

He avoided the attack by turning into Mist Form.

His body turned into mist and disappeared into light. He sheathed the Windsong Blade so that its position couldn’t be heard. In the darkness, the sheathed sword whispered with wind, as if mocking.

Now Kian’s tricky and unpredictable fighting style begins.

Just as he disappears into the light, he reappears from the darkness, accompanied by the scream of his magic sword.

He uses the Windsong Blade to burn and cut through the target’s flesh from above the ‘Penetration’ point. Then he quickly disappears again before the enemy can counterattack.

He keeps switching between appearing and hiding. With each round, the warrior monks in the corridor vanish.

On the third time, he overpowered two people. As a piece of the pedestal behind them breaks from an explosion and destruction, the bald warrior monk kicks off the ground and attacks. Even though most of the pedestal was rubble, it was hard to transmit force properly, but his skill was impressive.

The bald monk ── Shura ── opens his shining eyes sharply in the darkness. Filled with fighting spirit, he throws Kian’s large body toward the courtyard.

 (He’s strong)

He jumps back to avoid the attack that aims at both of Kian’s legs. By then, he is already in the courtyard. He then attacks by slashing around the pillars that surround the courtyard, sending out sparks of orange fire. When Kian kicks the pillars and reappears on the roof, the screams of the “glasses” echo loudly in his mind.

 ’Watch out, Kian! Evade!’

 ”────!”

The warning was so quick that even a quick leap wouldn’t be enough to escape.

Slightly delayed from when Kian jumped onto the sloped roof, white arms and black gloves burst through the roof and stuck out like Wraith creatures.

This was an attack aimed at both of his Achilles tendons.

The woman wearing these gloves, without a doubt, was Linca.

She forcefully tried to cut into Linca’s arm with Windsong Blade, but she got no response. Kian was blown away by the blast of wind and landed with his hand pressed against the sloped roof.

Supporting his body on one hand and both feet, he remembered the surprise attack just a moment ago and felt a chill running down his spine.

”You’ve come full circle. But it seems the situation has changed a lot from the start.”

 ”…Tch”

Kian saw Linca suddenly appear from the front roof, ignoring obstacles, and quietly clicked his tongue.

Linca should have been fighting Sarah alongside the girl with odd eyes named Christophora.

But now, she has returned to the front line with them — which means, no way──.

(I should not think about unnecessary things. Stay calm. Just accept that Linca has come here.)

”Elder Brother, unfortunately, it looks like the fun will end quickly. It seems the game is almost over.”

At the highest point of the roof.

Before Jibril’s puppet, whispering, Linca suddenly appears and blocks the way.

Behind her, the bald warrior monk ── starting with Shura ── and black warrior monks are once again surrounding Kian.

 ’Kian!’

 (Damn. Is it hopeless?)

Kian quickly changed his eyes behind his ‘glasses.’

From the very beginning, he was at a big disadvantage.

Sarah has defeated by Linca and Christophora, and they have returned to the front line. But he has no choice but to somehow turn the tide and win.

But if even Linca, who was fighting Sarah, comes over here, Kian’s chances of winning are seriously shrinking.

He has no choice but to use the sleep curse──.

(Is that really possible? Can’t I somehow dodge it? ──No.)

Because Linca isn’t here, he chose to fight on the roof with poor footing.

However, if Linca arrives, the situation will change.

Unlike the flat courtyard, this rocky terrain means Kian cannot dodge Linca’s attacks.

He needs to make his decision very quickly, in one instant.

If he hesitates, Linca will teleport close and attack again, and he might lose control completely.

After a moment of thinking, Kian poured magic into his ‘glasses.’

’I will lend you the same cursed sword ‘Water Moon (Mizuki)’ as before!’

(I know. I need to act quickly.)

 ”Sir Kian.”

From ahead, from a high place, Linca calmly spoke to him, as if issuing an order.

 ”Please, surrender.”

”──Linca, Shura! Quickly, take my brother’s consciousness!”

Seeing something suspicious, Jibril’s puppet let out a loud cry for the first time.

But his command came too late.

In Kian’s hand, a beautifully designed cursed sword was already held tightly.

 (Sleep curse — activate!)

The world seemed to throb like a heartbeat, with a strange feeling of illusion.

In that moment—one instant—the curse activates.

It must happen in that very moment.

Otherwise, it would impact all allies around him.

Once Linca arrives here, there will be no allies left — that was a thought he deliberately pushed away.

Sarah is still alive — he believes that.

The world pulses again with a heartbeat.

Then, suddenly, an overwhelming sleepiness overwhelmed him.

 ”────, Ah…”

Kian’s vision suddenly warped and distorted.

Since gaining the power of a vampire, he had almost never felt sleepy.
