Volume 3 Chapter 130-2 Quest: Nameless Asura III
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
She had slight dark circles under her eyes and wore a floral decoration on her chest, the kind typically used in Western funerals. In other words, her black outfit was clearly meant to be a mourning dress.
The woman unleashed a powerful burst of magic and pointed the tip of her red short sword at Kian.
”The Crimson Pact!”
”────!!”
The scattered blood around them reshaped into a blade and deeply cut Kian’s foot.
In the next moment, a sharp pain, like his heart being squeezed, struck his chest.
”Ugh.”
”Ugh…!”
Red patterns, resembling roses, appeared on both Kian and the silver-haired woman’s bodies.
The woman charged magic into her red short sword, making the ancient engravings glow orange.
Her arm cracked, and blood spurted out, flowing into the sky like wings.
At the same time, intense pain shot through Kian’s left arm, and he felt his flesh tear inside his monk’s robe.
”Ha──!”
The blade was covered in blood.
The silver-haired woman suddenly lunged toward him.
Kian quickly regenerated the tendons in his severed legs and used the Windsong Blade to block her attack.
”Thorns of the Shadow…!”
During their clash, her light blue eyes burned with intense brightness.
Kian froze as countless black thorns appeared behind him.
”Damn it!”
”The Crimson Pact!”
Her light blue eyes now glowed red.
Blood flew from the woman’s feet, and at the same time, deep wounds tore through Kian’s feet.
His feet were stitched together──.
”Kian!”
”Tch…”
Just in time, Sarah, who had been chasing Shura, turned back and blew away the black thorns.
Soon after, a warm sensation wrapped around Kian’s body, instantly healing his injuries.
”Haaa!!”
Sarah attacked the silver-haired woman.
With incredible speed, the woman grimaced and blocked Sarah’s falling shamshir.
She held a red short sword in her right hand and a silver one in her left.
”Aaaah!” the woman howled, and the blood on the red short sword swirled in a spiral.
”Yah!”
Sarah knocked it away.
At the same time, an immense burst of energy erupted.
Countless ‘threads’ burst forth from Sarah’s body.
The ‘threads,’ spreading over a wide area, surrounded the silver-haired woman.
(This is)
Unavoidable.
The sword can block some attacks, but not those coming from all directions──.
The woman’s light blue eyes shone as she was knocked back.
She slashed at the roof, using blast wind to shift her position.
Somehow, she touched the ground with her toes and looked up at the ‘threads’ rushing upward.
The woman’s graceful dance began.
Jumping, dodging, raising her foot backward, quickly flipping upside down, and using the recoil from her small sword to jump again.
Crossing her legs, spinning in the air, she swung her small sword like a top to deflect the ‘threads’.
Moving without hesitation, as if predicting the future, she slipped through the encirclement.
She rushed forward, drawing a large circle on the rubble-covered roof.
At that moment, between the gaps of her skirt-like waist armor──open at the front, resembling a cape──her silver hair flowed out like wings.
”Wolfmen…!?”
”Kian, dragonfly!”
Sarah shouted, keeping her back turned.
”Please take care of Ms. Serena and the others!”
”Understood!”
Kian’s legs were fully healed.
Clad in ‘Leap’ on both legs, he started running.
The silver-haired woman swung her small sword, gritting her teeth.
”Damn!”
”I’m the one dealing with you!”
”Tch, gorilla woman…!”
Kian transitioned from ‘Leap’ to ‘domain’. As he kicked off, the roof collapsed under his strength.
Kian rapidly deployed ‘domain’ multiple times, jumping onto the white mountainside.
The incline was about 30 degrees, but it looked like a cliff.
He stabbed the Misty Magic Sword into the ice and poured magic power into his Windsong Blade.
”Cry out, Windsong Blade!”
”Come on, Kian Vahid!”
Shura, hanging from a rope tied to the dragonfly, roared.
He jumped onto the shoulder of the tiger Beastman below, spreading his arms.
Magic absorption, as shown earlier.
(If you can absorb, then do so!)
”Fall, you bastard!”
”Kuh────”
The Windsong Blade tore through the sky.
In its path were Shura and the dragonfly.
The silver flash converged on Shura’s body, being absorbed.
However, without allies, he had to absorb the magic alone. The absorption ended midway, and the flash pierced Shura’s arm, the rope, and the dragonfly’s wing. The dragonfly, struck by the magic sword’s power that negated wind magic, staggered and fell to the mountainside like an insect sinking into water.
”Tch, damn it!”
The tiger Beastman ran up the mountainside as soon as he landed.
He unsheathed his sword.
Kian withdrew the Misty Magic Sword, lightly kicked off the slope, and glided down like a bat.
”Kian Vahid!”
The tiger Beastman roared and swung his scimitar.
A single blow to decide it all.
Kian suddenly extended the length of the Misty Magic Sword and sliced off the Beastman’s wrist.
”Nnnn──”
Kian rotated his body and swung the Windsong Blade.
It was an incomplete ‘Penetration,’ but as he spun, he also swung the Misty Magic Sword, slashing the Beastman’s neck in one swift motion.
This time, the ‘Penetration’ failed, and the Beastman’s head flew high into the air.
”…!”
Shura ran toward Barghest, Colinna, and the unconscious Serena, who were rolling down the slope.
Kian deployed his ‘domain,’ but it was nullified when it collided with Shura’s ‘domain.’ He quickly switched to ‘Leap’ and chased after Shura.
”Ooooooh!”
”Tch.”
Shura looked down at his burnt arms with regret.
Using ‘threads,’ he drew the scimitar from its sheath, bit it, and faced Kian.
Shura, burning with indomitable fighting spirit, fully deployed the ‘threads’ and leaped toward Kian, aiming to sever his head with the scimitar held in his mouth.
”────”
”────!”
The final battle began.
With ‘threads’ far more skilled than Kian’s, Shura restrained Kian’s movements.
Whenever he saw an opening, he shook his head and lunged toward his target.
