Chapter 108 Harue’s Growing Feelings

Since that incident in the dressing room, she started seeing Haru-kun more like a man.
Of course, she knew that kind of feeling wasn’t allowed.
So… well… sometimes when she thought about Haru-kun, she comforted herself and endured it.
”Ha~h, is Haru-kun about to disappear soon?”
Right now, Harue was busy every day with Haruto’s university admission and apartment arrangements.
”Still, passing med school without studying like usual… maybe he’s…”
At home, drinking tea, Harue thought about it.
Haruto’s talent was abnormal.
”Haru-kun might not even be human!”
Harue pinched her nose and muttered.
”He’s an alien.”
If he was an alien, she could accept that he was smarter than humans.
And also…
”If Haru-kun is an alien, normal human rules don’t matter… right?”
Yes, her feelings for Haruto had grown too big,
and she twisted reality, hoping there was some way to make them come true.
But no matter how much she twisted reality,
reality was cruel.

”Then, Mom, I’m going!”
”Make sure to contact me once you arrive there!”
”Yeah, I got it.”
She wanted to say so much but couldn’t—
because if she spoke one word, her tears would fall…
”Bye-bye!”
Pu-shoo──
”See you… see you… ugh, ugh.”
Even after Haruto’s bullet train disappeared,
and the people around her left,
Harue couldn’t move for a while…

”I think I’ll get a part-time job or something…”
Harue found out she was pregnant in university and gave birth after graduating.
She was about 24 then, so technically she finished her master’s course.
Because of that, she never entered society and started childcare,
and until recently, she was just a housewife.
But now that Haruto was gone, she couldn’t stand being alone at home.
Sure, she’d been alone before when Haruto went to school.
But cleaning his room or thinking about what to cook for him—
those small things were her daily joys.
”What’s wrong all of a sudden?”
”Haruto’s gone too, and being alone at home is boring.”
”Come to think of it, your life was all about Haruto… I was too busy with work.”
”Don’t apologize. I liked living focused on Haru-kun.”
”I see. If that’s how you feel, I’m glad! You can do whatever you want now. I’ll do my best to support you.”
”But I don’t know what to do…”
Still, not having been in society even once made her uneasy.
So she decided to ask her husband.
”Why not use what you learned at university?”
”Physiology, but…”
”Isn’t that the oil massage Haruto does? That might work.”
”What are you saying? Oil massage… no… Aromatherapy!!”
There’s no national license for aromatherapists,
but there is a certification from the Japan Aromatherapy Association.
To be an aromatherapist, you need solid knowledge of anatomy, physiology, dermatology, and the brain’s scent system.
Of course, Harue wouldn’t move forward without talking to Haruto,
and if he agreed it was useful for the massage shop he wanted to open,
then Harue decided how to spend her time without him.
If her goal was to be a helpful support for her beloved Haruto, it was perfect.
And so, Harue’s new life began.
By the way, when she missed Haruto too much, she apparently went to his bed to refill…
