Fake-Survivor 140

Chapter 140

After spending some quiet time with Ms. Hilda, she suddenly said something surprising. She claimed to have a clue about the person who cursed Ms. Alicia.

 ”Really?”

”I can’t prove it. And it only lasted a second, so maybe I saw it wrong.”

If that were true, she could have said something in front of the Gavrett family women, starting with Ms. Elina.

But she gave her reason for keeping quiet… and I accepted it.

* * *

”So, that’s why I think this talisman might work.”

 ”Huh… really?”

As I listened to Ms. Hilda, I found myself unsure of what to think. Her story was hard to believe.

Her proof was small, but I couldn’t ignore it.

She said there was a way to check. I called it “Magic Mending” and said the talisman could break curses.

The talisman was just a small piece of paper, and using it wasn’t a big deal.

But since it was said to have strong magic, I couldn’t use it so carelessly.

While I sat there thinking, something soft pressed against my chest. At the same time, something warm and firm settled between us, fitting snugly in a way that made it hard to ignore.

Squeeze… squish…

It was Ms. Hilda. She had closed the distance, her arms around my back, her body so close it was impossible not to notice every subtle shift.

”Why not just try it? If I’m wrong, you don’t have to use the talisman. If I’m right… I’ll make it up to you. As much as I can.”

Rub… rub…

As she spoke, she began moving her leg gently, rhythmically, brushing it along my side with a soft but unmistakable persistence.

It felt like she was offering more than just words. Like her body was part of the bargain. But even with her deep connection to the Gavrett family, was all this really necessary? Or was it something tied to her past?

When I asked her, she replied quietly:

”For me, it’s not a big deal. But for you… it could mean everything. So I want to help, in any way I can.”

 I got it.

There was no risk for her. She just wanted to be here. To offer something—whatever she could.

If that was true, then this strange moment made a little more sense. Maybe it was her way of showing care for her friend’s family.

As I thought that, she shifted again.

This time, whatever she had trapped between her legs—me—was guided somewhere warmer, softer… somewhere that welcomed the movement.

Slide… slide… a quiet slick sound…

 ”Mmm… ♡”

She moved her hips in a slow rhythm, each motion careful, practiced—like she had done this before to say something words couldn’t.

I had turned off my Magic Armor earlier, during cleanup. But once she held me between her legs like that, I turned it back on—just in case. With the spell active, even if something slipped in the end, there wouldn’t be consequences.

I thought we were playing it safe. But then she said:

”If it happens, I’m okay with it. No one will complain… and I don’t mind what comes after, no matter how often it happens ♡”

She spoke so plainly. So calmly. Like she was used to being overlooked—and used to giving more than she received.

Her talk about having lots of children made me think maybe she came from a big house, maybe even noble blood.

That might explain her quiet tie to the Gavretts.

Still, no matter who she was or what her family could handle, I wasn’t the type to leave someone behind just because the moment got ahead of us.

So, I gave her a clear answer:

”Okay. I won’t say anything about kids, but… I’ll try the talisman.”

Her smile lit up her face. She looked truly happy.

”Thank you♪ Then at least… let me make you feel good ♡”

Slide…

She sank down slowly, drawing me into her warmth, holding me there like she had all the time in the world.

The next day, I got ready and went to speak with the Viscount.

”You said you had something to discuss?”

He sat down across from me in the office and asked that.

At first, I was going to talk about how I was trying to stop chasing women. But I changed my mind and told him something else.

”I found a clue. It might lead to the one behind the curse.”

Flip

As I spoke, I took a piece of paper from my bag. The Viscount thought it was about the curse and reached out without pause.

 ”What!? What is this… Ugh!?”

As soon as he touched it, light flashed around him. He grabbed his head—and then, a see-through human figure came out of his body and hit the ground.

That happened because Seria, who had been hidden, used something called “Commercial Recovery.”

 ”Ugh!?”

Thud!

The thing that came out looked like a grown man. Once he lost the see-through look, he stood up.

He had a slim body, cloth over his mouth, and no magic or armor.

I didn’t know much about it, but maybe the see-through look and body-snatching had something to do with his powers.

 ”Who… who are you!?”

 ”Tch.”

Bam!

The man clicked his tongue and jumped at the window.

 But—

 ”Guh!?”

He floated in the air and couldn’t move. He started to panic, surprised that he was stuck.

 ”Ugh… this…”

Of course, that was because I held him in place with Magic Armor.

Only his head was left free so we could talk.

The Viscount saw the strange man and how he couldn’t move. He looked at me and asked, calm but serious.

 ”Koji, what’s happening?”

”I don’t know all the details. But I heard that, once, you gave off magic energy.”

That was what Ms. Hilda told me.

It happened three months after Ms. Alicia got cursed. Iris wasn’t there at the time. Hilda said she felt magic from the Viscount for just a second.

 ”Me? But I can’t use magic…”

Still, Hilda knew that. So she thought someone had taken his place.

She didn’t tell the Gavrett women right away. She was watching to see if they’d notice anything. If they reacted to the fake, she might have had a chance to run.

So, she thought if I used a “Disenchantment talisman,” it might break the spell and show the person’s true form.

Then, when she learned about “Magic Mending,” she believed the enemy wouldn’t run. So she gave me the info.

I had already talked to the Viscount about spreading rumors that I liked women, hoping to trick the enemy.

At that time, the Viscount hadn’t run. So she thought he’d come if I called him in private.

If I acted like I trusted him, the enemy wouldn’t guess I suspected anything.

Also, by acting alone, she didn’t need to hide guards from the Viscount, which helped avoid suspicion.

Anyway… in the end, it looked like the Viscount had been taken over by someone else.

Even though he was shocked, the Viscount kept watching the strange man, not looking away.
