Fake-Survivor 139-2

Chapter 139-2

She looked like she was in her mid-twenties, but it turned out she was actually around thirty—considered somewhat late by this world’s standards.

Despite her beauty, being “late” in finding a partner often made people assume there was something wrong beneath the surface, and that alone could reduce how many men approached her.

If she had a background that warranted protection, it was possible she had received marriage proposals in the past—but maybe they’d been stopped intentionally.

While I felt sorry for her circumstances, if her relationship with the Gavrett family soured, there was a real chance she’d expose mine with the women of this house.

Setting aside my connection with Ms. Elina, if word got out about Iris and me, it would probably ruin her marriage prospects.

At the very least, I needed to avoid that kind of trouble until we got some sort of response from the royal family.

Having made up my mind, I gently placed my hands on Hilda’s chest, feeling the softness through my palms.

She let out a quiet, delighted breath, her eyes sparkling with anticipation.

I gave her a warm smile and said,

”Shall we continue this in my room? Time is precious, and I’d like to make the most of it—with you.”

 ”Y-Yes, please!”

She replied eagerly, her cheeks flushed pink.

Back in my room, I asked what she wanted. I couldn’t promise everything, but since this was her first time, I wanted her to feel safe—respected. I wanted it to be meaningful.

This wasn’t about just the act. It was about her finally feeling valued.

When I asked if there was anything she wished for, she hesitated before admitting:

”It’s not that anything specific ever happened, but… I always feel like men look at me with bad intentions. And women just judge me. So… I’ve never been able to feel proud of my body.”

 ”I see…”

Since I’d met her, she always carried herself with caution. She never flaunted her beauty—it was more of a shield, a way to keep people at a distance. Maybe she’d been envied, misunderstood, or both.

I wanted to change that—to let her feel seen, appreciated.

 ”Mmm…”

A soft breath escaped her as I carefully traced my touch across her skin. I was gentle, deliberate.

 ”Ahh…”

Her expression melted, and a warm blush spread across her cheeks—a quiet confirmation of our connection.

It continued like that for a while. Her features gradually softened, her hair slightly mussed, her eyes unfocused in a pleasant daze.

 ”Aah…”

She leaned in with natural grace, her movements fluid, as though this sort of closeness had always been within her.

With each moment, she seemed to accept herself more, her earlier insecurities fading with every shared breath.

Her face was serene. Even as she helped clean up afterward, her hands moved with a quiet tenderness.

The sun began to dip lower in the sky, casting golden light across the room.

By then, I had done all I could to make her happy. She looked at her own body with something close to pride—if only when she was with me.

And that, I felt, was enough.

I lay beside her, catching my breath.

 ”Phew…”

 ”Hehe♪ You did wonderfully.”

She teased, gently brushing her cheek with a fingertip.

Her playful motion drew my eye again, and for a moment, the thought of going another round flickered.

 But… I needed to rest.

 ”…It’s okay, you know?”

She murmured, turning toward me with a soft smile.

It was tempting, but I shook my head.

”No, let’s save it for next time.”

 ”Oh! Yes.”

She nodded, still glowing with warmth and satisfaction.

The room settled into a peaceful silence.

”Speaking of which… Magic Mending. It’s convenient.”

Whenever we did it, I couldn’t help but think about pregnancy. So I’d explained my protective spell, Magic Armor, as if it were Magic Mending.

Ms. Hilda had said she didn’t mind getting pregnant, but I told her that if we were to have a child, there was a proper order to things.

Given how many people I’d been involved with just in this town, she seemed to understand that it was likely the same in Dungeon City.

Thanks to Magic Armor, used like a magical contraceptive, I could enjoy things without the worry. During the act, I even bound her lightly with a magical string—just enough to let her feel its power.

 ”…”

Apparently, Hilda believed I had gained the curse-breaking talisman through that power. After thinking for a moment, she leaned in and made an unexpected request.

”Um… I’m sorry to ask this after everything, but… could you use the curse-breaking talisman?”

 ”Huh?”

I’d thought all she wanted was to be held, but now she brings up the talisman?

She hadn’t shown any signs of ulterior motives. But maybe she was just that good at hiding it.

As suspicion crept in, she explained calmly, not trying to cover anything up.

”Ah, no. It’s true that I wanted to be with you. But… if you really have that power…”

 ”What do you mean?”

She hesitated again, then finally said something surprising.

”Well… I don’t have confirmation yet. But I have a slight idea about the person who cursed Ms. Alicia.”
