Volume 3 Chapter 136-4 The Flower That Blooms Proudly I

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

 ”Yes. I used a spell.”

Linca pulled a small piece of paper from her pocket. She whispered something under her breath—and bam!—a giant snake’s head popped out. Its big yellow eyes stared straight at Kian.

 ”Ah—!”

”Oh my. Sir Kian, you look very shocked.”

She smiled as she pulled the Shikigami back. It was a massive white snake, clearly very strong. With eyes like that so close, anyone would freeze like a scared frog.

”You can summon something like that? If you’d used it while escaping from that old temple, we would’ve been in real trouble.”

”Mizuchi can’t fly. If it were Nue, maybe. But even then, against Ms. Sarah, it wouldn’t have helped.”

 ”…!”

Good thing he had Sarah with him. If it had been Rufna or Natra, he might not have made it out.

”Alright, let’s fix that wild beard of yours now.”

 Linca looked way too cheerful.

Just hours ago, she was trying to kill him. This kind of mood swing made Kian uneasy. Was she planning something?

 ’Tch. That playboy.’

 (Why again with that line?)

 ’Drop dead, womanizer.’

(This is getting worse. Too far.)

 ”Sir Kian, excuse me.”

 ”Huh? Oh, uh, sure.”

 Her pretty face came closer.

He could smell something soft—maybe a nice-smelling oil. A kind of girly, flowery smell came from her fingers.

And when she touched his cheek.

It felt like a bunch of tiny bubbles popped on his skin all at once.

 ”Whoa!?”

”Ahaha! Oh my, Sir Kian, you really—”

”I-It’s just a weird feeling, okay?”

 ”Let’s keep going.”

 ”W-Wait—whoa!?”

”Oh… pulling out lots of beard hair feels kind of nice.”

 ”You’re enjoying this?”

”Hehehe. I’m not as rough as you.”

 ”Are you mad or something?”

 ”Not really.”

She started plucking the hair near his ears.

It hurt, but not too much.

Just enough to make him twitch. Weirdly, it kind of felt good.

”Let’s do your chest hair next.”

 ”Wait!”

Kian rubbed his jaw, now smooth.

”Are you going to pull out every hair on my body?”

 ”That’s the plan. I’m bored.”

”You know Azraelians care a lot about their beards, right?”

”But Sir Umar and Sir Jibril are always well-groomed.”

 ”I’m not like them.”

”You look better like this. After plucking, I’ll rub on some oil. Now, move your hands.”

Her fingers kept moving across his face.

He didn’t like how easy it was for her to touch him like this.

 ’It’s not because you’re a stranger.’

(I guess if she’s Sarah’s childhood friend, that makes her mine too…)

No. He wouldn’t accept that. She was the one who helped exile him with Umar. She was nothing like Sarah.

Back at the monastery, she was the sunny one. Always bright. And he was the opposite. Dark, and quiet. She felt more like an enemy than a friend.

”You beat me up hard, you know. Because of you, Sir Jibril started hating me. I’ll never forgive you!”

”Ah! Hey, that hurts! Are you ripping my chest open!?”

 ”No, look.”

 ”…!”

Her hand moved again—fast. Before he could dodge, her fingers pressed hard against his armor.

 Pain exploded in his chest.

He looked down at the silver armor.

 ”This armor reacts to ‘Penetration.’”

”You trying to take out my heart!?”

”As I said, if I wanted to, I could have done it already.”

She put her hands on her hips and pointed at his armor.

”If you’d just take it off, I wouldn’t have to push so hard.”

”Why are you trying to do full-body hair removal anyway?”

”Because I won’t lie with a dirty man. This is part of the magic deal. You have to release 99 more times.”

”For the contract…? Fine. If that’s what it takes for you to help, I’ll take it off.”

 ”…”

As he pulled off the silver armor, Linca’s eyes followed every muscle on his arms and neck. Her look felt more dangerous than before.

Still, if Rufna and Natra didn’t show up soon, he’d have to hurry and make her fall for him. He could bear the pain for now.

Kian stood there in just his underclothes, his body out in the open.

”Mm. Looks good. Well, you are Sir Jibril’s older brother, after all.”

”Don’t say that. It makes me feel like dragging my junk through broken glass.”

 ”I-I’m sorry.”

”Just do it already if you’re going to.”

 ”Y-Yes.”

Linca’s cheeks went pink. She reached out and touched his chest again.

Kian started to worry about this woman’s tastes.
