Volume 3 Chapter 136-3 The Flower That Blooms Proudly I

Linca tilted her head with interest and said, “One more time.”
”Yes.”
”Is that the vampire skill — Mist Form?”
”Right.”
”Did you get it because you took in Lord Owl’s power?”
”I’m not sure. I think I could do it before that, too.”
He should hasn’t gotten the vampire power when he absorbed Burgkain.
But even before that, when she got ‘Nightshade,’ Kian’s leap seemed to change a little. So, he doesn’t really know.
”Maybe if I get your power inside me, Sir Kian, I could use vampire power?”
(What do you think, ‘glasses’?)
’It will happen. If she eat you up, that woman will turn into a vampire-like person instead of you. The Wraith’s spirit power is mixed in there, so by that time, it might be better to call her a kind of vampire rather than a human.”
”Then you could use it.”
”…! Then I might also grow long nails or control my hair to fight.”
”Maybe. But I can’t do those things yet.”
”That’s great!”
Linca leaned forward, her face full of excitement.
”Actually, I’ve started to feel my power isn’t enough lately! When I fight someone who uses ‘Penetration,’ I usually just punch straight, but then I feel my attack skill isn’t strong enough, so…”
”That is your weak point. If you harden your hands or have powers that let you heal fast, your attacks will be stronger and sharper. Some vampires can change their blood into poison. If you can do that, even against a ‘Warrior Monk’ using ‘Penetration,’ you might kill them with one hit.”
”That sounds exciting. Maybe soon Ms. Sarah will get very angry.”
”Sarah is your friend. I hope you stop fighting.”
”But if my goals are different, I might betray Sir Kian, right? If so, please use me, Linca. Next time, I’ll make sure to take down that wild monkey woman.”
”Are you worried about losing to Sarah?”
”Not really.”
Linca smiled and shook her head, but her temple showed bulging veins.
”I’ve just always thought she’s a mean woman. Sir Kian, you know how we feel about each other, right?”
”Yes, you two have been on bad terms for a long time.”
Linca hated Sarah mostly on her own.
Sarah was a bit confused at first but then got angry at Linca, who kept competing with her. Their hate became very clear.
”That woman also stole the title of Azrael’s Death Sword User. You don’t know how angry I was, how ashamed I felt to be seen as a loser by others, Sir Kian.”
”I can see it on your face.”
”Ha ha ha… new power… wonderful…! I’ve only been doing sneaky missions lately and not training, but now, I will train again. Somehow, I feel hope for living!”
”Any kind of hope is good. Just please stop fighting. It will only cause trouble for me.”
’What are you saying, you player?’
(Well, that’s true. Then I’ll just go all out and win with my d*ck.)
’Is this guy serious about dying!?’
”But before you fight Sarah, I want your help with my mission.”
When Kian spoke, Linca’s face turned serious and she nodded.
”Yes, that’s right. I said I would help until I betray Sir Kian.”
”I want to sneak into Ramsey and find out why the dead bodies rose. Also, I want to check on Lord Owl’s work.”
”…? Why not just go to the castle gate openly? If you want to check, Lord Owl will probably open the door. Or do you not have proof that you are an inspector?”
”I can’t go openly. The client, Lady Maribel, wants a secret check. She worries about what others think of Owl and the nearby lords. It would be bad to fight Lord Owl, who leads Ramsey’s defenses, head-on.”
”Is there no one else for Izerland?”
”After a little search, no. The other day, Lady Eleonora, a former Knight of the Sun, and her group caused a big problem and were scolded by the lord.”
”Oh no… that sounds bad.”
”Maybe you could take Owl’s place.”
”That’s a joke. I don’t know anyone here. The soldiers won’t listen to me.”
”Then make friends. Train the locals into soldiers, right? You’re Azrael’s warrior monk, after all.”
Linca smiled faintly and shook her head.
”Training the Shura was hard. I want time for myself now.”
”That’s something you can’t say to Jibril.”
”Heh. His ears aren’t here anymore, after all.”
”What a difficult subordinate.”
When Kian said that, Linca laughed, putting her finger to her mouth.
Without makeup, her face was softer but somehow more feminine and sexy.
Kian looked closely at Linca’s plain beauty.
She saw his eyes and turned to him.
”Is something wrong?”
”No, I just thought your side face is beautiful. Your skin is fair and nice.”
”Thank you. But if I may be rude, Sir Kian, your beard is growing wild and looks messy.”
”I can’t just keep shaving it with a knife.”
Sarah seems to keep hers neat, but he never asked how.
Kian has always been messy, called a ‘garbage scavenger’ since East End, and doesn’t care about looks. He also thinks wearing glasses is not needed.
Logically, if you don’t eat women, adventurers don’t need glasses.
Kian says Linca cares too much about looks.
”If you want, I can use ‘Penetration’ to fix it.”
”Uh… that sounds painful.”
”It’s almost painless. My personal feeling is it’s actually addictive. Want to try?”
”Then, just a little.”
”Wait here.”
Linca said that, then jumped up with a bounce.
She went back toward the cave and started searching a wooden box next to the bed.
That box wasn’t there before. What is she doing?
”After you left, Sir Kian, I moved my merchant tools, which I hid nearby.”
Linca came back holding a round container.
By the smell, it was some kind of oil for skin.
It smelled fresh, like herbs.
”Did you carry that all alone?”
