Volume 6 Chapter 25-2 Can You Work Like A Draft Horse?

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

”That’s… quite the outfit. Is it based on something from Earth? It looks more like it’s meant for charm than for sneaking around.”

Now that I think about it, Miss Floria had a thing for yukatas. Yakou’s getup came from one of those old samurai dramas I watched. Originally, it was a really bold design—an open-style kimono, more like something you’d see in a sketchy theater. But the exposed parts were covered up with tight, mesh-like fabric, like chainmail stockings. It was just enough to keep things TV-acceptable. The garter straps? Yeah, maybe I added those for my own reasons. I just thought they looked cool… and a little exciting.

”Um, yeah, let’s not do the whole seduction angle. That’s not the plan. She’s got stealth-type skills—she can slip in and out without anyone noticing.”

It wasn’t Yakou’s dream job, but tough luck. Lately, I’d grown more protective of her, like, Don’t touch my girl. I finally get how sea lions feel during mating season. A harem’s something a guy wants all to himself. You want to be the only one they adore.

At the same time, I kind of hate that part of myself. But then I also agree with it. I’m aware of my own flaws—guess that’s like what Socrates said about knowing you know nothing. If I’m gonna be a fool, I want to be a likable one. Like Mr. Escalion. Not someone like Mr. Raoh. He’s a good guy, but I’m not aiming for that route.

”Having someone with stealth could be a big help. It’s risky, but maybe you can put her on the job starting tomorrow.”

”A spy, huh? Leave it to me, Lord!”

Yakou’s eyes sparkled. She’d joined me hoping to be a real kunoichi. I guess I’d been ignoring her too much. I read somewhere in a manga that when you play hard to get too long, it backfires. I hope Yakou doesn’t get too attached to Miss Floria. Am I… jealous? Wow, I’m more petty than I thought. But I know that about myself, at least. Self-awareness, right?

”Hm. So, how many times has he held you?”

 ”Wh-what? H-he held me?! T-that’s top secret!”

Miss Floria just threw that question out like it was nothing. And Yakou? Totally flustered. I expected her to keep a straight face, ninja style, but nope.

”If it’s true love, I’m not one to judge. But I wonder what that girl would say about it.”

Then she turned her eyes to me. Oh boy. This was turning into one of those long talks where I’d end up getting scolded while Miss Nina’s asleep.

Still, maybe it’s better to just get chewed out once and be done with it.

”I won’t go tattling or anything… but if someone asks, I might just answer honestly.”

Her voice got this playful warning tone. I could tell she wasn’t really mad. Just messing with me.

 ”Please have mercy!”

I tried to say it cute, but that came out weird. Real weird. Never doing that again.

”Nope! A smooth-talking ladies’ man like you deserves a little payback in love. Yakou, right? I’d like your help. As one of the women who loves him.”

 ”L-love’s… punishment?”

Yakou turned red as a tomato but looked pretty curious. Huh. In that drama, there was a female villain who liked this kind of thing, but it was super tame for TV. Still, maybe I went too far adding that into the costume?

* * *

I was suddenly pushed down onto the bed by two beautiful women, my lower half stripped bare. How could anyone resist that? If I really didn’t want it, they’d stop. But I didn’t resist. Curiosity got the better of me. Not that I’m into this sort of thing, of course…

This was probably just a game, right? Miss Floria didn’t seem like the kind of person into rough stuff. I never heard anything from Ms. Nina about that. But as Kenkō Hōshi said, “Even pretending to be a fool makes you one.” So if Miss Floria’s pretending to be the bossy type, maybe she is one. She is a classy older woman, though, so the act kind of suits her. That’s what makes it tricky.

She leaned over and gently rubbed her face on me—both hands, cheeks, nose. It tickled more than anything else, but somehow, that weird feeling got me… worked up. Not really in a bad way. Just confused. This didn’t feel like punishment at all.

Yakou stood nearby, watching with this glassy-eyed look. Spirits don’t really get human stuff—especially weird stuff. Mubiel didn’t understand much either when it came to… unusual games. She might even be peeking through Yakou’s senses now and freaking out.

Spirits don’t chase after pleasure like humans do. They just want to learn what grabs their attention. But once they find something interesting, they really cling to it. I’d better be careful not to teach them any odd habits, or I’ll regret it.

Miss Floria sniffed around down there. Was she… acting like a dog? She’s totally nuts. But that gap between her normal self and this act made my heart race.

”It smells~ My, my. But if I don’t hate the smell… maybe that means I really do love you?”

Please don’t measure love by scent. Maybe that’s why she’s separated from her husband.

”Uh, no, it’s just… sometimes smells are just… smells.”

”Oh? So you do think I smell?”

She climbed up and sat on my stomach, leaning forward until her chest was right in my face. There was this sweet, tangy scent—very much a woman’s—but I didn’t mind it.

”No, I mean… Miss Floria, you took a bath today, right? And used perfume. That’s cheating.”

”No matter how busy I am, I never let myself go. That’s just who I am.”

She looked super proud. Actually… yeah, now I see it—she kind of acts like Mr. Raoh. Proud and weirdly confident.

As soon as I thought that, his face popped into my mind, and I instantly lost the mood.

”Oh dear, what now? Cleanliness is a lady’s charm, right? Or do you prefer the smell of sweat? That’s a bit… questionable.”

”No, no, I was just thinking about something else.”

I absolutely couldn’t tell her the truth. That I compared her to a sweaty old man? Yeah, no way.

”How terrible! Thinking about someone else during our special time. Is a tired old woman not enough for you anymore? But today, my skin feels smooth again… even though I’ve been sick and overworked. Maybe sleeping beside you gave me a boost. Body and soul.”

She giggled and gently pressed herself down again. I can’t tell her the truth. I just can’t.

”Um… I’d like to try, too.”

”Oh? Then I’ll let you take over for a bit.”

Yakou leaned forward and copied Miss Floria, gently rubbing her cheek against me with a soft sigh. It wasn’t the kind of scene I expected, but… it wasn’t bad either.

 ”Here we go.”

Miss Floria circled to my right side, kneeling gently before pressing a soft kiss to my cheek. It was a bit awkward, that newness making the moment all the more fresh and quietly thrilling. Miss Floria knew many things—being a married woman meant she had plenty of life experience—but somehow, it felt like I was borrowing something precious from another man. Or maybe, it was actually me doing the borrowing.

As I focused on the gentle closeness she offered, the swirling thoughts around me began to fade. In moments like these, the simple pleasure of being present with someone was what truly mattered, wasn’t it?

Not to be left out, Yakou leaned in, her attentions playful and curious, her movements light like a breeze teasing a leaf. It felt more like being a cherished object for amusement than a dance of affection—but that, too, held its own kind of excitement.

Though I’d experienced moments with multiple companions before—Uno and the others—it was different when Miss Floria took control. I found myself a calm river flowing, letting her guide the current while I floated quietly. Ah, now the thought of tekka maki crossed my mind—simple, familiar, comforting.

”You were thinking of other women, weren’t you? Such a mischievous boy.”

She said with a knowing smile, her voice sharp yet playful.

That was a quick guess, but wrong. It was just the memory of tekka maki’s taste that stirred something in me—not other thoughts.

The teacher rested my head gently in her lap, her warmth a soothing comfort. Was this a kind of gentle care, like a mother calming a restless child? Her hands moved tenderly, massaging my face as if to ease my worries away. There was no rush, no urgency—only softness and quiet peace.

For now, I was happy to be her playful companion, letting her take the lead wherever she wished. Even with the renewed energy the Dragon God’s Herb had given me, the lingering weight of daily stresses remained beneath it all.

In the end, what mattered most was the quiet trust between people who truly cared for each other. Maybe some enjoyed rougher games, but that wasn’t my style.

When she seemed content, I gently deepened my focus, fully present in the moment. A slight shiver, a soft sigh—the subtle signals told me she was at ease. Her energy, spent from the playful exchanges, left her peaceful and still. It was time to care for her gently, guiding calm waves of comfort and warmth, moving with the quiet rhythm of trust. The basics mattered above all.

Meanwhile, Yakou observed attentively, her touch light and careful—like the soft brush of fingertips on silk. She showed promise, though experience still awaited her. I’d keep her close, help shape her gently into the woman I admired. I doubted she’d complain about that.

What worried me, though, was knowing Shea-Shea and the head maid had been quietly watching through the door’s crack, their curious eyes peeking in silence. If Miss Floria found out, I’d surely face some playful reprimand.

Yet, even with their watchful gaze, I stayed calm—perhaps like other summoned heroes who changed with their new lives.

Transformation. The quiet shift from a timid, gentle boy into someone stronger, bolder, and more assured with each step forward. Some said it was the thrill of newfound power; others whispered of deeper change.

Still, I must be careful not to lose myself. Many summoned heroes remained steady—Professor, Mr. Raoh, and Mr. Kondou among them.

Though, Mr. Kondou was a bit strange. Mr. Raoh downright odd, and even Professor’s passion sometimes bordered on the peculiar.

But think about it: if someone was summoned and stayed calm and true, wouldn’t that be the strangest of all? A little change was natural. Worrying too much wasn’t healthy either. Best to live honestly, enjoy what you love, and not trouble those around you.

Let those curious onlookers see Miss Floria reach her peak of joy, ascending beyond words.

* * *

Gentle familiarity enveloped me as I settled within Miss Floria’s warmth, knowing exactly where she was most sensitive. I didn’t mind the routine; this familiar rhythm was a comfort. I moved with a steady pace, guiding gentle flows of energy to keep the pleasure steady and long-lasting. Of course, I savored every moment of her presence—good things never got old, like a favorite meal. Curry might tire the palate after three days, but after a week away, you’d crave it again like the first time.

Today, Miss Floria was a little playful—almost teasing. So, I decided to return the favor with a gentle reminder of her own limits. I focused softly on the spots she loved most, raising the joy until she was lost in the feeling, unable to think of anything else. But I was careful not to push too far—too much could be overwhelming or create dependence, and I had always kept a wide margin for safety.

I didn’t want to use her as an experiment, so I held back with kindness. Still, she stayed in that joyful state for quite a long time. The Dragon God’s Herb had surely helped, bringing her body back to its prime and filling her with a new kind of delight she’d never known. Her soft, breathy sighs wove between laughter and gentle gasps, until finally, she slipped into a peaceful rest.

Maybe I’d gone a little too far this time. Though her body was safe, I wondered if after this, she might find ordinary moments less satisfying—she had been without intimacy for some time, after all. But perhaps that was alright.

Next came Yakou’s turn. She had been bold today, so it was time for a little gentle discipline. But she seemed to enjoy nearly anything I offered. This time, I decided to treat her fully as a person—nothing beyond what her strength could bear.

Words could play their part too, but with eyes watching through the door, that would be too embarrassing. Shea-Shea liked those sorts of games, and I certainly didn’t want her to burst in out of excitement. After all, Shea-Shea was my fiancé, so in that sense, it wasn’t an issue—but marriage was still a little way off.

The head maid was another matter. Young and unmarried, I’d heard she was a few years younger than Miss Floria. In a world where girls married early, she was beginning to worry about appearances. I’d caught her scanning for potential suitors with sharp, hunting eyes. She was beautiful but complicated in her ways.

It was clear women had their own desires, and these two curious watchers might need a gentle reminder. Telling Miss Floria would work best, but that seemed a little harsh. Shea-Shea said when the teacher was angry, she could be frightening indeed.

So, as a small punishment, I adjusted my stealth skills to blur their view—just enough to keep things tantalizing but never fully visible. Maybe someday I could learn an editing skill to add a gentle mosaic effect—like magic censorship. That might be a bit extreme, though.

Instead, their teasing curiosity turned into vivid daydreams, which only seemed to excite them more.

”A person’s hidden depths are truly something.”

Yakou clearly knew she was being watched. I expected excitement, but instead, she looked puzzled. I thought she’d be more mischievous, but she seemed to be learning some sense lately. That was fine.

What intrigued me most was her old soldier-like manner of speech. She probably imagined herself as a secret ninja, but it was a bit off the mark. Still, since the thoughts came through our mind-link skill, I wondered how subtle nuances or the sound of “Ann” (a soft sigh) got carried over—truly a mystery. She seemed to like it, so I let it be.

As for me, my own mood was fading. If possible, I wished the others would change the way they spoke during these moments…
