Volume 6 Chapter 29 Concrete Road
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
I stood alone on the old Toyata Village land.
It looked like an empty field. I stood there like a king with no people. That made me laugh a little.
The first time I came here, Ms. Nina, Ms. Ant, and Ms. Claire were with me. A lot has happened since then. Now I’m alone. What did I gain? What did I lose? Am I really moving forward?
Ms. Nina… Ms. Mahal said she woke up. But she won’t see me. Maybe she’s shy about being seen in the water tank. She could just cover herself with a towel or something. I mean, to me, it doesn’t matter what she wears. But I guess girls care about stuff like that.
I want to bring her a pretty flower. But… in my world, we don’t give sick people potted plants. Is it the same here?
Still, doing nothing is worse. If I leave her alone, she’ll be upset.
Maybe I should write a letter. But I don’t know what to say. I also have to write it using the letters of this world. That means someone will have to read it for me. I don’t want to ask Shea-Shea. Miss Floria might be better.
No, I’ll try writing it myself. If I put my heart into it, maybe it will reach her. She’s the type who feels that kind of thing.

I called for help, so Ms. Ant and the others should arrive tomorrow. The Antfolk are growing fast. We still don’t have enough people, so it helps a lot.
Their daughters are born with some of their mother’s memories. It’s like they’re clones — or maybe split bodies. Even if the mother dies, the daughters live on. That makes them close to immortal.
Maybe the ancient divine humans made the Antfolk too. Elves were made by divine humans as slaves, like living machines. So… would they make slaves for their slaves?
I don’t know. I think the Antfolk were made to chase immortality. Maybe, over time, roles changed. Maybe the elves rose above the humans.
There’s no proof. Even the Antfolk don’t remember the old days. So it doesn’t matter now.
What matters is this: I want to reward them. Those girls admire me, and I want to help them. If I settle them first, they won’t be seen as newcomers. That should protect their status.
I also want help from Sar-Sar’s friends in the royal capital. But who settles first will change future power. If Toyata people come first, they’ll be seen as seniors.
It’s like in America. People still respect the Mayflower families, just for coming first. Even one day early makes you the senior. That’s how human ties work.
Still, there’s a simpler way — the class system. In this world, people accept rank more easily. And it’s easier for me too.
If I raise the capital group to noble status, it should work. They used to serve the Viscount family, so they have pride — and many are skilled.
But I don’t want to put the old Toyata group below them. That wouldn’t be fair.
The best way is to choose people by skill and trust. But this isn’t a game — I can’t see their stats.
Or can I? There are magic tools here. Maybe I could see their abilities. If so, that would be too easy. A real cheat.
Meritocracy or feudal rule… hard choice.
Feudal systems bring loyalty. But they also bring class bias. People will start treating others badly. Maybe I can just fire them when they step out of line.
I’ll go with the normal ways of this world and fix problems as they come. If someone is truly good, I’ll promote them myself.
Also, I want to set up a group to check on other groups. Secret watchers. Yakou would like that — catching corrupt people and all.
For now, I move ahead with the plan for the Viscount area.

As for the Holy Kingdom and Dukedom, I’ll let the Great Temple and Merchant Guild do what they want. They’re just countries on paper anyway.
The cardinal wants land to build a real temple. The Guild leaders want an office too.
That’s fine. But Miss Floria warned me: if we don’t draw lines, the Guild will grab everything first. That’s not good.
It’s the same with homes. If we don’t mark the land clearly, fights will start. If someone builds on a road, that’s a problem.
I’ve seen it happen. In Toyata and the capital, wide roads turned into thin alleys. That’s because people kept stealing land.
So yeah… people aren’t always kind — especially when it comes to land.
