Volume 2 Chapter 17 Tiet’s True Feelings

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

 ”What the—!! Why?!”

Tiet’s voice rang out, sharp with disbelief.

Klock blinked. For a moment, he thought she was joking. But her face held no hint of humor—she was completely serious.

”It’s not a matter of ‘why.’ That girl’s my comrade. Why would I leave her behind?”

More than a comrade, perhaps—maybe even a benefactor. The label was unclear, the connection complicated. Still, one thing was certain: Adelina wasn’t someone to be brushed aside. If she wished to follow, Klock would let her. Whether she was useful or not wasn’t the point.

He dismissed Tiet’s protest and returned her gaze steadily.

For some reason, her expression had changed. A flicker of confusion clouded his face.

What’s her deal? There’s nothing strange about this. Adelina hadn’t done anything wrong.

…Could it be that these two didn’t get along?

He wasn’t sure of their ages, but both girls were clearly young. Young enough to still get into the kind of fights where feelings took over reason. Adults weren’t immune to petty spats either, but younger girls could be brutally honest when they disliked someone.

”Why?! What’s so great about that little shrimp?!”

”It’s not about who’s great and who isn’t—”

”I’m cuter! Stronger! We’ve got better compatibility! For the thing with Anna—you need me! And still, you pick her?!”

She was practically shouting now. Her voice trembled, not just with anger, but desperation. She looked like someone backed into a corner, refusing to back down no matter what.

Klock stared, confused. Where was all this coming from?

”Whoa, calm down. What are you even talking about?”

He raised a hand to slow her down, but before he could say more, a loud crack echoed around them.

Tiet had stepped forward—and the stone floor beneath her feet had shattered under the pressure.

 Just like before.

A sharp wave of killing intent rolled out from her. The water in the bath rippled ominously.

Still holding onto him, she slowly stood. Her eyes, locked onto his, burned with a fierce scowl. Klock felt any trace of rising excitement vanish in an instant.

 …Why is she suddenly furious?

They’d just been talking. What turned this into a battlefield?

Was this some kind of…puberty storm?

He had no clue how to deal with her now. One second they were teasing each other, the next—this. The shift in atmosphere was jarring.

 ”You…!”

Her voice was tight with emotion. Then, without doing anything else, Tiet spun on her heel and began striding toward the bath’s exit.

 ”H-Hey. Are you seriously leaving?”

It was obvious her issue wasn’t just about the bath. But Klock didn’t know what else to say, so that’s what came out.

She didn’t answer. Her silence only made her anger feel more pointed.

 ”…No, wait. That killing intent—”

The moment he felt it shift, Klock’s heart dropped.

That pressure wasn’t aimed at him.

 It couldn’t be.

If someone like Tiet truly focused her killing intent, most people would be paralyzed on the spot. Even Ada—the always-confident A-rank adventurer—wouldn’t stay calm under that force.

 But Klock felt no fear.

That could only mean one thing.

 Her fury was directed elsewhere.

 Someone who wasn’t even present.

 Someone powerless.

”Hey! You can’t just do whatever you want!”

The realization hit him hard. Tiet’s rage was aimed at Adelina.

 Why? For what reason?

 It didn’t matter.

If she meant harm, Klock couldn’t let it slide.

He stepped forward, moving quickly to place himself between Tiet and the door, shielding someone who wasn’t even there.

”Where do you think you’re going? You’re not seriously thinking of laying a hand on Adelina, are you?”

 Tiet paused, gaze cold.

”Well… what if I am? Would you stop me? Would you be mad?”

 Her voice dripped with challenge.

”Of course I’d be mad. I don’t care what fight you two had. Adelina saved my life. If you lay a finger on her, I won’t forgive it.”

His voice was firm, his feelings clear.

He didn’t understand the full story, but that didn’t matter now.

 ”Saved your life…?”

”Yeah. You were about to hand me over to the authorities, weren’t you? If Adelina hadn’t helped, I’d be swinging from a rope in the capital by now. Don’t tell me you’ve already forgotten that?”

Tiet’s eyes widened. Then, as if stung, she turned away, her expression crumpling with discomfort.

 …Had she really forgotten?

The girl who saved him, and the girl who tried to condemn him. Whatever they were fighting over, the choice was obvious.

Trying to drive someone away while forgetting your own sins—that wasn’t just arrogant. It was dangerous.

Someone had to put her in her place.

”Look, I don’t know what you’re trying to compete with Adelina for. But if she’s such a bother to you, I’ll go with her—just the two of us. You can wander off wherever you want. I don’t need you.”

The words were sharp. Harsher than he intended.

 But he didn’t regret them.

If she apologized now, he’d forgive her. That was the kind of man he was.

 ”U-Unnecessary…? But you need—!!”

”No, I don’t. We’re just avoiding monsters. Whether the heroes run or hide doesn’t matter to me. And honestly, Adelina’s cuter. You’re just being annoying. And as for romance… I’d rather be with a grown woman than a brat.”

 He didn’t raise his voice.

But the words hit harder than a shout.

 Tiet stiffened.

 ”…A grown woman?”

 She echoed the words quietly.

Klock didn’t respond. If she left in anger, so be it. She was originally one of the heroes. No matter how close they got, there would always be distance. He couldn’t trust her forever.

 ”Hmph.”

 ”Huh—?”

 ”SCREW YOU!!”

 ”Whoa?!”

The next moment, his vision twisted. The world tilted—

 And then—splash.

He hit the bath with a heavy crash.

Water closed over him. He surfaced, coughing, blinking against the spray.

He looked up just in time to see Tiet turn her back.

 She hadn’t even touched him.

Just the pressure of her magic, released in sync with her scream, had sent him flying.

Cracks spidered across the stone where she’d been standing.

 Tiet’s voice trembled with fury.

”After all those times you were inside me… now you say you prefer grown women?! Unbelievable!”

Without warning, she leapt into the bath and lunged at Klock. He saw her coming just in time to flinch, but not to avoid. She slammed into him, knocking him off balance, and the bathwater exploded around them in a violent splash.

Caught off guard, Klock fell back, his head brushing the edge of a rock as Tiet pinned him down. Before he could speak, she shoved her hand into his mouth.

 ”Mph?!”

Four fingers forced their way in, nearly reaching his throat. He gagged instinctively, his eyes narrowing in shock. Tiet’s strength held him firm. Her other hand reached down, grasping his unresponsive length with a roughness that made him flinch.

”Damn you, Klock. You… a thief… doing this to me—”

With her hand muffling his voice, Klock could only turn his head to the side. He couldn’t see her expression, but her presence pressed heavily against him. Her emotions were surging—rage, pain, something deeper. Whatever he’d said had hit a nerve.

 ”Mmm! Mmph, mmph!!”

He struggled slightly, trying to resist, but not enough to hurt her. It was too painful to let her continue, but physically pushing Tiet off could trigger something dangerous. He needed to calm her down, not fight her.

”Hmph. Look at this… even now, your body’s reacting.”

Her voice was softer now, though her tone remained sharp. She looked down at his hardening length with a mix of bitterness and confusion. To her, the reaction was proof of something more—something personal.

Without waiting, Tiet shifted her hips and lowered herself onto him. He felt the sudden warmth envelop him as she took him in completely. Her breath fluttered past his ear in a quiet exhale.

 ”Fuu…”

Again. After everything, they were doing it again. He didn’t understand why. Anger, frustration, desperation—it was all tangled inside her.

 ”Nmm… fuu… fuu…”

She began moving silently, steadily. The water surged with each motion, sending ripples crashing against the stone walls of the bath. Her pace was fast, relentless—nothing like the gentle rhythm one might expect in such a setting. Even in this, Tiet’s overwhelming physical strength was on full display.

Klock could hardly breathe, much less speak. Her hand was still in his mouth, and his vision was partially obscured by the way she leaned over him.

So, he bit back the pain and responded the only way he could—he licked her palm. It wasn’t an attack, more of a small act of resistance.

 ”…Nmm.”

She reacted with a tiny noise, then leaned in closer and sucked harshly at his neck. Her thrusts grew more intense.

Water splashed everywhere. There was no peace in this act. No calm. Only Tiet’s driving movements and her faint, strained breathing.

Even without words, Klock could feel it. He was close. There was no point in holding back now.

 ”Nmm… nmm… nn──”

The moment came. He released deep inside her, unable to resist. She suddenly stopped moving.

Feeling the rhythmic pulse, Tiet reached back, touching him gently—too gently—to coax out every last bit. She didn’t look at him. Her movements were quiet, almost clinical. Her hand finally withdrew from his mouth.

 ”Geh… kh…!”

Klock coughed, gasping for air. Tiet kept both hands on his hips, and she began to move again—light, controlled, subtle. Her inner muscles gripped him tightly, intentionally, as if milking him. Each contraction was deliberate, measured.

 ”…Fuu.”

She let out a quiet breath and gave a small, smug smile. As Klock caught his breath, she rose to her feet in front of him, her body glistening under the bath’s dim light. His gaze was unintentionally drawn to her, and she noticed.

Without a word, Tiet spread herself with two fingers.

”Look. Do you know what this is?”

A thick, white fluid dripped from her, trailing slowly down her thighs. She caught it in her hand and held it out in front of him with a crooked smile.

”Look. This is what you left inside me. Twice. You said you liked grown women, right? So why did you finish inside someone like me? You don’t even like me… right? Or is it that no matter what you say, your body still lost to mine?”

Her voice was biting, her expression defiant. But Klock could see something else—something hidden under the bravado.

What does it mean to lose, anyway? Why did this feel like a contest now?

Her words were childish. Her actions, even more so. Yet Klock didn’t respond.

”Hmph, pathetic. You acted like you didn’t care, but look at you now. Such a weak reaction, yet you had the nerve to talk big earlier.”

 ”…No…”

He opened his mouth to reply but stopped himself.

What was the point? Winning or losing didn’t matter here. If saying he lost would ease her mind, then he’d say it.

Klock, older and calmer than Tiet, decided to stay silent for now.

”Well? Not going to say anything? Then apologize. Forget Adelina and devote yourself to me. If you swear to do that, then—”

”…Seriously? Again with this? Do you even like me? Or are you just dragging Adelina into this because you’re jealous?”

He hadn’t planned to respond. But the moment she said Adelina’s name, he lost his patience. Why did she always bring her up?

 ”Huh…? No…”

 ”…What?”

 Tiet froze.

Her expression changed instantly. Whatever tension had held her just moments ago suddenly broke. Her eyes widened in disbelief. The energy drained from her face.

She stood still for several seconds before suddenly sitting back down. Without hesitation, she took him inside her once more, her face flushed.

”I… I don’t like you or anything… stop saying weird things.”

 ”…Huh?”

Her cheeks were red. Her ears were burning. She averted her gaze, began moving again—small, nervous thrusts.

But Klock could feel it clearly now. She was tighter than before, and her entire body trembled slightly with each motion.

 Wait. She’s serious?

Klock, with all his experience, recognized it—the awkward, earnest intensity of someone in love. He had known this feeling before, in his younger days. The signs were all there.

Tiet was jealous. She was possessive. And beneath the surface, she was deeply, utterly attached.

At that moment, Klock finally understood why she acted the way she did. But even knowing, he couldn’t explain why she liked him so much.

There was no way he could have guessed that a girl who once treated intimacy like a weapon was, deep down, a naive maiden, hopelessly in love with the man who took her first time.

Even Tiet herself probably didn’t realize it.

In the end, she had teased him, lost control, and fell harder than she expected. For someone like her, that outcome must have felt like defeat.

And no matter how much Klock had experienced… no one could have seen that coming.
