Volume 7 Chapter 3 Honey Wolf Trap ② ◆
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
”That’s the plan, then—I’m counting on all of you. I have high hopes for your efforts out there.”
Under a clear, sunny sky, the forest on the outskirts of Boorinel stretched out before them. A large crowd of adventurers had gathered at the entrance, and once Charlotte finished explaining the operation, she bowed her head with a polite little dip before taking off into the air on her massive wings.
Her outfit that day was deliberately revealing, calculated to perfection. The male beastkin around her were breathing heavily, their eyes fired up with motivation. It seemed no matter the race, women had a knack for steering men exactly where they wanted.
”Alright, let’s get moving already. Stay low-key, got it? I’m the princess here, and you’re part of the hero party—drawing attention won’t do us any good.”
Who the hell’s in a hero party? Klock muttered under his breath, his whole body radiating a complete lack of enthusiasm.
The Wolf Princess caught every word with her ears perked straight up, and she fired back a straightforward tsukkomi without missing a beat. “Who else but you?”
”Klock, just to confirm—you’ve got zero experience in the adventuring business, right? No monster hunting in forests or anything like that?”
”Ain’t got any. Today’s plan is to stick to your tail, so take care of me, yeah?”
”Fine, I’ll lead the way. You keep watch on our rear—don’t slack off.”
The group shuffled into the forest, a ragtag bunch of about fifty adventurers in total. They were all beastkin, from what he could tell, with the split between men and women roughly even.
Normally, the guys would outnumber the gals in a setup like this, but maybe the low turnout was because so many had just returned home. Or something along those lines.
”Ahh, man—this really feels like being an adventurer.”
”It doesn’t just feel like it; it is. This is our first job as the hero party.”
”Cut it out. I ain’t acknowledging that.”
The dim forest spread out ahead, shrouded in shadows. Klock had no idea what it used to be like, but now it was a full-on monster nesting ground. With the bright morning light and the big crowd around, it didn’t seem so bad, but stumbling through here at midnight would have been terrifying beyond words.
Once they were inside, the Wolf Princess immediately veered off in a different direction from the others. Parties overlapping could lead to squabbles, so the rule was to keep a decent distance during hunts.
The noise of the crowd faded into the distance. Just moments ago, there’d been tons of people, but now a lonely atmosphere settled in all at once.
”Wonder why the monsters multiplied like this.”
”No one knows the exact reason. Charlotte mentioned it was like they’d been chased out from somewhere and relocated here.”
Charging ahead in total silence felt awkward, so Klock tossed out some chatter, and the Wolf Princess answered without turning, her back still to him.
”Come to think of it, I heard the monsters are fleeing from some massive creature on the western side. Must’ve caused a real ruckus.”
”Huh. Sounds like another dangerous something-or-other showed up.”
Klock’s reaction to the mention of a huge beast was lukewarm at best. He’d seen truly terrifying monsters up close, so something just a bit oversized didn’t faze him anymore. Unless the sky was twisting or something, it probably wasn’t a big deal.
”I haven’t heard any eyewitness accounts of its appearance. Apparently, an old forest to the west burned down completely. No one knows the cause or when it happened, but they’re blaming it on a monster.”
”Ain’t there zero proof a monster did it?”
”The damage was massive—a huge swath of land turned to scorched earth. They confirmed traces of extreme heat, like the ground had melted. Doesn’t match a typical wildfire in a dry area, and it’s too unnatural for a natural disaster.”
Hmm? What was that? Something about the story tugged at him.
”If there’s really something out there capable of causing that level of catastrophe, dragons would be the prime suspects. If a dragon showed up, it’d make sense for the monsters to flee. Outside of being hostile to humans, monsters are basically just animals, after all.”
”…Ah, just checking here, but how far west is that forest? Still under Boorinel’s jurisdiction, east of the volcano?”
”Exactly. Hmm, so maybe it’s the dragon from the volcano. I’ve heard rumors that one might be nesting in the Beniiro Volcano to the west.”
An uneasy feeling crept in. Klock scratched his head roughly and stared off in a random direction.
”…By the way, you know what kinds of monsters are overflowing? Any specifics?”
”Monster types? I heard it’s mostly giant insects. The mantises are the ones to watch—they’re persistent and love ambushes, real pains. Then there are griffons and such that prey on the bugs… Heh. Don’t tell me, Klock—you’re one of those types who can’t stand insect monsters?”
Klock tilted his head back to stare at the sky. What flashed through his mind was that day he’d ditched Meina and tried to bail from Cianie. He’d gotten lost in the forest, chased by bugs, then by a griffon, and finally, she’d come looking—blasting the whole place to ash with her ultra-destructive ability.
It seemed the beasts that called those forests and the surrounding areas home had fled the destruction, pushing and shoving their way out until they’d spilled into this remote human settlement.
In other words, the reason for the monster overflow was…
”Wolf Princess, let’s give this monster hunting our all, yeah?”
”…? Yeah, sure?”
The image that popped into his head was his childhood friend, the hero, giving a blank-faced thumbs-up with her fist clenched. He wanted to yell at her for what she’d done, but since it all started with him trying to run away, he couldn’t say a word.
Klock felt the heavy weight of responsibility that came with dating a disaster girl all over again, his shoulders slumping with a heavy droop.
”Alright, here we go.”
Sunlight filtered through in spots, but the forest’s dimness stretched on endlessly. Thanks to the animals, the undergrowth wasn’t too high—walkable for humans—but the thick bushes clustered like walls, blocking intruders at every turn.
The overgrown woods loomed dense and wild, with the occasional beastly breath echoing through. It was a natural sanctuary that didn’t welcome human footsteps. Not long after they’d pushed in, Klock and the Wolf Princess’s first skirmish with monsters began.
The Wolf Princess claimed the initial kill. She leaped the moment they crossed paths, instantly taking down some black shape. Only when it crumpled did Klock realize it was a type of magic wolf.
More of the same beasts followed in quick succession—fellow magic wolves. They might have resembled wolves she had ties to, but these were monsters, hostile to all humanoid races without exception.
The Wolf Princess didn’t hesitate, even as five or six poured out; she dove into their midst, slashing with her sharp claws. The beasts were slaughtered in an instant, carved up by her incredible speed before they could even scream.
Man, she’s insanely strong. Klock stood there, hit with a childlike awe. He’d known she was tough, but watching her go full unstoppable mode left him frozen in place.
The wolf princess reaped lives at a terrifying pace. Before he knew it, no living monsters remained nearby—the survivors had scattered and fled.
Klock was left standing there alone, with no hunting work handed to him. After the fight came the task of cutting off the beasts’ tails and bagging them. He wrinkled his nose in disgust, but a glare from the Wolf Princess made him grudgingly pull out his knife.
”No wonder they put out a request for this. Magic wolves usually live deep in the forest. Running into them this shallow means something’s seriously off.”
”Beasts come near human areas looking for food, right?”
”Usually, yeah, but fleeing from a predator’s another common reason. And that’s exactly what’s happening now.”
Made sense. After all, that hero was a natural enemy to every monster out there.
”You’re taking way too long just to cut off a tail. Can’t you speed it up?”
”Shut it. I ain’t used to this kinda thing.”
Sticking a blade into a beast that’d been alive just minutes ago—he hesitated at the reality of it, reluctantly jabbing the knife in. Then the Wolf Princess sidled up next to him.
She placed her hand over his on the knife. They were zero distance apart now; she’d pressed her right side right against him.
Like this, she whispered in his ear, before slicing through the beast’s tail without mercy.
”You doing it would’ve been faster.”
The sensation of cutting flesh clung to his hand. Klock felt queasy from the brutal demonstration.
”If I did it, what work would you have? I’m teaching you, so put some effort in.”
The gross feeling soured his mood, but the warmth radiating from her next to him propped him up forcefully. She stuck close, staring intently at his movements like a supervisor. When he glanced back, her tail was wagging eagerly, her sharp eyes urging him to hurry up.
The distance was close. Maybe from the recent battle, but her body heat felt especially warm.
He finished one, stood up, and moved to the next. As he crouched to grab the monster’s tail, the Wolf Princess followed, bending down with him and pressing close again. Her petite frame pushed against his chest; he couldn’t help thinking it was a shame she wasn’t a bit taller, more grown.
”Still, you being a Brave Knight and all—I’m kinda jealous.”
”Then trade with me.”
They finished collecting, and as she walked ahead again, she let out a snort. Her guidance was spot-on, no doubt— with her keen sense of smell, the Wolf Princess not only sniffed out monster spots but also steered them clear of running into other adventurers.
Having a beastkin in the party made scouting easy, even without a magic user. Come to think of it, every group should probably have at least one—their senses didn’t drain like magic did.
”Joining the hero party would be tough. She’s just too otherworldly. After seeing power on that scale, I can’t fool myself into thinking I could stand beside her anymore.
I’ll aim for friendship and cooperation with her. That’s about the limit for someone of my standing. Well, right now… I’m swamped with my kin’s issues anyway.”
The Wolf Princess drooped her ears in dejection. Klock scratched his cheek at the sight of her melancholic back.
It was common to feel let down by someone you admired—maybe they weren’t as strong as expected, or not as kind. Reasons varied.
But being too strong? He’d never heard of disappointment for that reason. Probably only happened with someone on the level of a hero.
The Wolf Princess was incredibly strong. As a warrior, she was likely among the world’s elite, with tons of potential still ahead.
But she’d never reach the hero. She couldn’t stand beside her, or even follow half a step behind. That was reserved for geniuses among geniuses.
”On that note, you’re lucky. Whatever the circumstances, you’ve snagged the honor of joining the Heroine’s party. Warriors and adventurers worldwide would envy you.”
”Seriously, spare me. That ain’t my character at all. I’m busy enough just enjoying daily life.”
”Heh. Speaking of, earlier you were talking about getting her to retract your party invite. Dusselhelm’s princess is definitely plotting something. Best to play nice until we see her move. She’s tangled in politics, after all.”
He got what she meant. Merchants and politicians naturally tried to maneuver people for their convenience. Dealing with them required staying cool and thinking on their level to avoid getting tripped up.
”Yeah, whatever about me. More importantly… that. Once the quest’s done, I’ll make sure to tell Cianie all about your exploits.”
The Wolf Princess stopped in her tracks. She turned, her face blank with surprise.
”…Heh, stating the obvious, are we? I’m the one hunting the beasts, so of course I’ll report it. Praise me to the skies. If you don’t, I’ll tear out your throat.”
”Yeah, yeah.”
His attitude came off insolent. What the hell’s with her, he thought, but that was just how she’d always been.
She put on that haughty demeanor, her tail swinging wildly behind her. When he tried to move ahead to urge her on, she bumped into him lightly with a thud.
A provocative grin flashed his way. In the next instant, she leaped nimbly and circled behind him.
She chomped down on his arm with a gaburi. Then she latched on, entwining her arms around it.
It didn’t hurt—just a gentle nibble. This mysterious playfulness was probably her way of messing with him.
He reached for her with his other hand, but she hopped away with a pyoi.
He moved to retaliate, but she’d already had her fun and lost interest, striding ahead to lead again.
”Ah, right. There’s something I wanna test out. Next time, give me a bit of time to fight too.”
”…Something to test?”
”Yeah. Got this borrowed weapon, see. Joined today mostly to try it.”
”Hmm. Fine. When a suitable monster shows, go for it.”
”Ahh, let’s just head back already. I’m beat.”
Deep in the forest, they’d reached a small stream. It was more like a trickle from a spring, barely fifty centimeters wide.
Right nearby, dry ground was piled with fallen leaves. Klock plopped down with a heavy thud.
The Wolf Princess splashed her hands in the water with a splash, splash. She scooped some up and dashed it over her face with a bashari, then shook her head vigorously like a dog, sending droplets flying. With no sign of fatigue in her steps, she strolled over to him.
”Sheesh. Some member of the illustrious hero party you are, acting this pathetic.”
”Shut it.”
Klock shot back at her light taunt with a curse, but his response was feeble and weak.
What he’d thought was a big dry leaf turned out to be a swarm of moths. Looking up, there was that damn huge mantis he’d seen before.
A griffon bursting from the bushes. A weird flower suddenly springing to life and attacking.
And the Wolf Princess slashing through them all without a shred of mercy.
Blood splattered everywhere. Warm corpses thudded to the ground.
Grabbing them, the sensation of knife slicing flesh.
Klock was utterly worn out.
Killing to survive was one thing, but hunting to kill grew harder and harder. The act of taking life—human, beast, even monster—never felt good.
Worst of all was harvesting parts from the slain monsters. Sticking a blade into a freshly dead animal was beyond gross for someone who’d lived as a regular guy like Klock.
Even motionless, the body heat lingered. Once, a tail had twitched in final resistance just as he cut.
Trapped in the feeling of slaughtering living creatures, his spirit ground down bit by bit. At first, he could fake nonchalance with adult grit, but after a few, his mood plummeted.
Seeing blood on the bag’s opening from the corpse parts made him queasy, and flies buzzing around only worsened it.
From the bottom of his heart, Klock thought adventuring could go to hell.
”Getting this exhausted already? I heard you faced off against Abyss monsters till the end. I was impressed when I heard that, you know? Figured you were a guy who stepped up when it counted. I’d love to see that heroic side myself.”
”Ain’t happening.”
Too tired for anything but a sloppy reply. Klock rubbed his forehead and sighed. She’d handled most of the fighting, yet she brimmed with energy, looking fresh as ever.
”Sheesh, what a hopeless case.”
With that, the Wolf Princess approached him. She circled to his front and squatted down daintily.
”Mm.”
Then she opened her mouth. With an “eah,” she stuck her tongue out a bit, poised as if ready to take something in.
”…Huh? What’re you doing?”
Klock responded blankly to the sudden move right in front of him.
”Mm!”
She intensified the sound, mouth still open. Her tail wagged side to side, urging him to hurry.
Why’s she suddenly making a face like she’s about to suck d**k? The abruptness threw him off completely. If she were a f**k buddy, maybe, but this was the wolf princess.
Her sharp fangs peeked from the open mouth. She wiggled her tongue with a lick, lick, but her eyes narrowed gradually—
”Hey. How long you gonna make me wait?”
Losing patience, the Wolf Princess pursed her lips.
”Nah, I got no clue what you want?”
”You’re down in the dumps, right? I’ll lick you up, so hurry and whip out your d**k.”
What the hell’s she saying? The thought hit, and his vision blurred in an instant.
Yanked by her overwhelming strength, he tumbled. She roughly tugged at his lower garments’ fastenings, pulling them open, and her hand slipped in smoothly.
His shaft was gripped with a mugyu. Dragged out into the open air, a jolt ran through the tip as she licked it with a perori.
”Whoa, that’s sudden! This ain’t just rough—it’s insane!”
”Hmph. Says the guy who got rough with me.”
The tip was engulfed with a plop. A warm breath blew against the base with a fuu.
It reminded him of that time he’d rescued her from the cell, only for her to sink fangs into his neck. This time it was his dick instead of his throat.
He reflexively tried to sit up. To stop him, the Wolf Princess flipped around, pinning his upper body down with her lower half.
Her shorts-clad ass and tail thrust right in front of his face.
The tail dropped like it was blocking his view, brushing his face with a fusaa of fluff.
”Yeah, I was wrong back then. Look, I wasn’t really into it either…”
”Shut up for a bit.”
The Wolf Princess squeezed the base of his shaft with a squelch. She licked the tip with a lap, then followed up with more lapping, running her tongue meticulously like she was grooming him.
Slurp, slurp sounds echoed, each one sending an unsatisfying tease through his rod.
With her tail swaying, it grazed his face now and then, but her ass filled his vision completely. Without thinking, he grabbed it with a mugyu, and she let out a faint “nn” sound.
”Don’t hold back if you’re about to c**. In fact, hurry up and do it. This motion’s a hassle.”
With that, she engulfed it again with a plop. She took it into her mouth, welcoming the tip with a swish-swish of her tongue, then sucked upward with a smooch like she was drawing it out.
Come to think of it, he’d made her lick him a few times in that hundred-hole place. In the end, he’d r**ed her, so the guilt weighed heavier on him. But maybe it was fair to be on the receiving end once.
A much stronger stimulation hit his rod than before. The sudden turn had left him dazed, but his d**k got the memo that it was okay to let loose, swelling to full erection inside the Wolf Princess’s mouth.
”Heh. Got big all of a sudden. Getting excited without holding back, even with me.”
The Wolf Princess glanced back over her shoulder for just a moment. Her sharp gaze was as intense as ever, but her expression carried a mix of exasperation and smug pride.
Getting all worked up just from standing at attention like that—what’s with the attitude? Klock thought it to himself, but he kept his mouth clamped shut. She’d already taken him back in with a swift motion, so it was best to play nice and stay quiet. Piss her off, and the Wolf Princess would definitely bite down—no doubt about it.
She’d barely started the oral attention when her movements ramped up fiercely. The sudden speedup came out of nowhere, like she was urging him to hurry. Thinking about it, with her personality, a slow and deliberate bl**job just didn’t fit—she wasn’t the type for patience.
Slurping sounds echoed crudely through the air, wet and unrefined. She didn’t show the slightest hint of caring.
Just get it over with already if it’s such a hassle. He hadn’t said a word, but her intentions came through loud and clear, and it struck him as so perfectly in character for her.
Saliva mixed with pre-c** inside her mouth, her tongue wrapping around his shaft in a rough, utterly ungentle way—no trace of delicacy. She looped her arms around his waist, her predatory instincts kicking in to trap her prey with no escape.
The building sensation surged, and he grabbed her hips in a sudden pull, burying his face into her rear with a firm squeeze. If she hadn’t been wearing those short pants, he’d have been kissing her princess folds right then.
Feeling the soft butt flesh of the young girl against him, the dam finally broke. Far from home, in a land of different races, his shaft throbbed massively inside the beastkin princess’s mouth.
”Mmph?! Ngh… mm, mmm…!!”
Thick, powerful pulses shot out—dop, dop—as waves of white flooded her small, rough princess mouth relentlessly. The seed extracted by her forceful beastkin fellatio poured out with vigor, as if trying to imp****nate her oral depths.
The Wolf Princess thrashed her legs in response to the sheer volume. She gripped the base with both hands, keeping the tip firmly in her mouth, enduring with muffled sounds of distress while accepting the ejaculation inside. Her tail shot straight up, and true to her competitive nature, she powered through desperately.
It was a long release, as always. He could feel her swallowing motions, her throat bobbing up and down repeatedly, tightening around him each time in a sensation different from the norm, making it hard for his shaft to settle.
She wasn’t skilled, but it was a damn good mouth nonetheless.
Finally released from her lips, with a bit still dribbling from the tip, she promptly licked it up with quick laps of her tongue.
If adventuring always came with treatment like this, maybe it wasn’t all bad. That’s how it felt, at least—though he still had zero interest in actually doing it.
”Conflict wears down the spirit. That’s true not just for fights against people, but monster hunts too. When your mind’s drained, judgment and combat ability drop sharply. It could even lead to fatal mistakes. Releasing tension is crucial.”
With a faint blush coloring her cheeks, the Wolf Princess launched into her explanation. Boiled down, she was saying a mentally exhausted guy could bounce back with a good ejaculation.
”This is basically a battlefield. It was an emergency, so I had no choice but to lick you off. Be grateful.”
”Uh, yeah. Thanks?”
He had no idea what she was on about, but he thanked her anyway. Emergency fellatio out of necessity—it sounded utterly nonsensical when you put it into words.
Times like this really hammered home the species difference. When values clashed so clearly, it got hard to tell if she was joking or dead serious.
”But seriously, Klock—if you’re tapping out from this level of hunting, the road ahead looks rough. It’s not even noon yet, and you’re like this. At this rate, you might end up pushing for full-on mating before we head back.”
”Ain’t no way.”
She shot him a half-lidded glare, her wolf princess eyes narrowing. For someone with such a sloppy personality, her cute inner top and those ultra-short shorts that bared her entire thighs were a killer combo. The way her plump rear strained against the fabric brought back memories of their time together, and yeah, the sex had been pretty damn good.
”You’re looking at my butt with total perv eyes. That’s a full-on male gaze if I’ve ever seen one. No matter how you slice it, you’re gunning for mating with me.”
”Shut up. It’s your fault anyway.”
She turned her back to him, crossing her arms. He closed in, pressing right up against her from behind. Their bodies stuck together, his crotch grinding into her protruding rear.
It hadn’t gone down yet—no, it was swelling back up—and he rubbed it against her ass through their clothes.
”Anything beyond this is cheating. What happened in the hundred holes might’ve had excuses, but now it’d be a hundred percent on you.”
”You’re just as bad for not pulling away.”
Her trained, perfectly padded rear was soft yet firm as he pressed his shaft against it hard. She didn’t budge, just glancing back a little, letting it happen.
Or so he thought—then she started grinding back with her butt, rubbing him through the fabric. The soft sensation stroked his length, building that inevitable anticipation for full sex.
”Fuu, fuu, fuu♡”
Her rough breathing reached him from up close. Looking down, he saw her inner top poking out with small, perky points—she apparently wasn’t wearing a bra yet. Her intense arousal was obvious from every angle.
Push a bit harder, and he could have her right then—no resistance, he was sure. She’d go down easy.
”…Let’s get back to the hunt.”
”…Yeah. Let’s.”
They pulled apart. It felt strangely off, separating from someone who wasn’t even his girl. If it’d been Suzette or Meina instead of the Wolf Princess, he’d have pinned her and gone at it until he was satisfied.
”My kin always say I’m the cutest of the cute. Being alone with a girl as adorable as me must be stirring some unbearable urges in you, but don’t do anything to sadden the Heroine.”
”You sound just like Elna.”
It made him want to shove her against a tree and take her right there. Princesses like her could all use a dose of humility.
”By the way, isn’t a bl****ob cheating?”
”What are you talking about? You wouldn’t call artificial respiration cheating, right? So that was basically the same.”
He had no memory of breathing through his d**k, but apparently it didn’t count. She’d probably flip if the roles were reversed—talk about a conveniently loose cheating boundary.
Compared to before, the Wolf Princess walked much slower now. Klock followed a step behind, then sped up just a tad to catch her. Reaching out, he grabbed her plump rear with a firm squeeze.
”So, groping your ass like this—is that cheating?”
He decided to mess with her a bit, since she was spouting all that self-serving nonsense. His palm kneaded the soft flesh, savoring the feel.
”…No, it’s not cheating.”
True to form, the Wolf Princess didn’t flee. She didn’t even swat his hand away, just faced forward and took it.
Damn, this is bad. His hand wouldn’t stop itching to do more. Why the hell was her defense so nonexistent? No way his dick was calming down now.
Something plopped onto his shoulder out of nowhere. The Wolf Princess stopped abruptly, and as Klock halted too, another drop hit his head.
Looking up, rustling sounds started echoing from all around.
”Whoa, hey—it’s getting super cloudy.”
”This isn’t good. We can’t hunt in the rain.”
Dark clouds had rolled in over the area without warning. The forest canopy had hidden the sky’s shift, and by the time he realized the drops on his shoulder were rain, it was too late.
The woods grew noisier by the second, the downpour intensifying. His already dark clothes darkened further, and the Wolf Princess’s white inner top turned see-through before his eyes, her upper body revealing more with every moment.
”This came down way too sudden!! What the hell!!”
”Hah hah hah! Adventuring comes with days like this!”
The Wolf Princess dashed ahead, her tail wagging with apparent enjoyment. Klock chased desperately, leaping over massive tree roots and pushing through bushes, getting utterly soaked.
—Huh?
Tailing her, something odd caught his eye off to the side. It was a river, flowing to his left, with green creatures sitting along the bank.
They were unlike anything he’d seen. Mostly green-bodied, humanoid shapes carrying packs, with what looked like plates atop their heads.
Unknown lifeforms—not quite monster-like, but not wild animals either. About six of them sat in a row along the riverbank, hands clasped as if in prayer.
”Hey, Wolf Princess! Over there—”
”Klock! We’re taking shelter in that cabin up ahead!”
She extended her hand, and when he grabbed it, she yanked him forward with force. They leaped over the bushes, landing in a wide, grassy clearing where the trees thinned out. The distant sky ahead was clear and sunny.
”Wait, it’s totally clear over there. Just a passing shower? Talk about crap luck.”
”Don’t sweat it. Happens sometimes.”
In the distance, a small cabin stood alone by the river. What the hell was something like that doing in the middle of the forest?
Leaving Klock’s question hanging, the Wolf Princess flung open the door.
