Chapter 48 Goodbye to the Dragon’s Land A Whimsical Political Aftermath
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
Three days after the collapse of the Albion Imperial Capital—–
Nyaon. I live inside Goshujin’s right eye. I’m Luna, the high-ranking Dark Fairy, nyaa.
It’s been three days since that absolutely insane Capital collapse, and Goshujin asked Luna to go and check out how things were going there, nyaa.
And so, here I am now, standing in the central plaza of the Imperial Capital, nyaa.
[Dragon Ritual Hall Plaza]
”Our Great Hero, Lin Tvurm-sama! Hurray! Hurray!” shouted the crowd.
”Thank you! Thank you! Fafnir (Female)-sama!” yelled a citizen.
”Dragon Priestess Yulize-sama, thank you for bringing freedom to this Dragon Country, to the Albion Empire!” cried another.
The square was packed with the people of the Albion Empire, all of ’em waving at the new leaders of their nation, nyaa.
“
My Goshujin’s scenario, the one he cooked up three days ago, was this, nyaa: The Senate, suddenly attacked by mysterious terrorists, were ambushed and everyone was lost without a trace, nyaa. After that, the Albion Imperial Capital was completely wrecked by the terrorists, and the collapse itself led to the sad outcome where all the soldiers and officials connected to the Senate side mysteriously vanished, nyaa. Following that, the remaining Dragon Priestess, Yulize-chan, was chosen as the new leader of the country, and it looks like the Albion Empire is going to be run by the Five Violet Dragons from now on, nyaa.

[Dragon Ritual Hall Platform]
”Fafnir (Female). Is this the result of your betrayal, of confronting us?… The citizens all have such wonderful smiles,” Haial noted.
”No, Haial. I truly never imagined it would come to this kind of result,” Fafnir murmured, her brow slightly furrowed. “To think he possessed the power to fix absolutely everything like this… Wait, who am I even talking about, Haial?” she questioned, sounding truly bewildered.
”He?… Who in the world are you referring to?” Haial pressed. “The Lin Tvurm revolution was led by you, was it not?”
”…Huh. Was it really? Oh dear. I might have forgotten someone who helped me a great deal,” Fafnir confessed, her tone uncertain.
”What nonsense is that? You’re simply overworked, I say. The Senate is gone. Take a break after the True Ryūseisai is over. After all, with the Senate gone, the Albion Empire is on its way to peace,” Haial pronounced.
”…That fool (Shin)¹¹, he made my dear apprentice do such a terrible thing, didn’t he? To make Fafnir (Female) forget the memories related to him, the ones connected to the Capital’s collapse he had her orchestrate, he forced me to tamper with all of them before he just vanished from our sight,” Lin Tvurm growled internally, his voice deep with a mix of anger and awe.
”Lin Tvurm-sama, you don’t seem to be in a good mood, do you? Kukulkan,” a bystander whispered.
”He was suddenly put in charge of the country. I imagine he has plenty on his mind,” Kukulkan rumbled in response.
”More importantly, those terrorists. I’ll make sure to take all of them down next time we meet. Right, Alt?” Linebach vowed, clenching a fist.
”Yes, Linebach-san. Let’s make sure we take them out for good this time,” Alt replied firmly.
Goshujin told me to keep watching until the Albion Empire is stable, nyaa. But honestly, I only get the feeling that this country is going to be better than before, nyaa. After all, the new top of the country (the Albion Empire) is the wonderful, wonderful Dragon Priestess Yulize-chan, nyaa.
”Chairwoman Yulize-sama of the New Albion Empire. Please give your opening address for the True Ryūseisai!” the Dragon Priestess’s Assistant announced.
The assistant addressed Yulize-chan, who was clad in an elegant chalk-white outfit, nyaa.
”(I’m Chucky! I’m in disguise with a red dress and a mirror shield, ohhhhh!! I’m Chucky! My mind is completely broken, I can’t think of anything! I’m Chucky! I don’t even know where this is, I, I, I, I, Chucky, Chucky, Chucky, ChuckyChucky, ChuckyChuckyChucky, ChuckyChucky, Chuckyakyakyakyakyakyaaa!!! Aaaaaaahahahahahahahahaha!!!)……Yes, I understand. I’m coming now,” Yulize murmured, her voice utterly serene, though her inner self was maniacal.
Nyaa? Something about her behavior just seemed a little odd, but maybe it’s just my imagination, nyaa? Yeah, it must be my imagination, nyaa. There’s no way such a wonderfully poised girl could be weird, nyaa——

[Rism Territory (Giant Floating Island) Rism Airport]
”Yup, yup. The new Albion Empire setup seems okay. That’s a relief, that’s a relief,” I mused.
Right now, I’m checking on the Albion Imperial Capital’s situation through Luna-kun’s two eyes. Since I’m connected to Luna-kun by a Fairy Contract, I can share vision to a certain extent, even when we’re far apart, you know.
”Shin-sama… It is very difficult to say, but may I speak?” Lala-chan inquired, twisting her body nervously. She looks like she has something important to say. Is it poop, maybe?
”Hmm? What’s wrong, Lala-chan? If you need the restroom, you should use the one inside the airport. Not outside like you usually do, okay?” I teased.
”N-No, that’s not it! It’s not the restroom, I assure you! Furthermore, I have firmly sworn in my heart that I will never go outside unless I’m with Shin-sama. I only get excited because Shin-sama is nearby~desuwa,” Lala confessed, her cheeks flushing.
”You’re as much a pervert as ever, Lala-chan… But more importantly, what’s the difficult thing you wanted to say?” I prompted.
”Yes… Shin-sama, was it really alright to return absolutely everything you gained from this battle—the Lin Tvurm territory, the Rism Territory, the Albion Imperial Capital territory, the Nova army, and Fafnir (Female)-Gunitahayes—to Lin Tvurm for free?” Lala demanded, her voice filled with strategic concern.
”Hmm? Yeah, I think it’s fine. Yulize-chan also said she’d be happy if I did that, you see. My ultimate goal is the slow life plan in the frontier, and besides, the people of the Albion Empire apparently agreed to cooperate with me if anything comes up, so,” I explained easily.
”But currently, you control thirty percent of the Albion Empire’s territory! The Five Violet Dragons and the legitimate Nova army are all on our side! If Shin-sama were to seriously pursue a nation-conquest right now, the country would be virtually yours to take!” Lala stressed, her voice rising.
What is it? Lala-chan’s radical statements are a bit much today, aren’t they?
”…Is it because the south of the Albion Empire is the Lax Empire, and you want to use the Albion Empire’s military might to prepare against the Lax Empire, Lala-chan?” I guessed.
”N-No, not at all! I merely wished for Shin-sama to become the King of a nation… and spend your days with me, raising children~desuwa ² (blushing////)! I only thought that seizing the Albion Empire in the current situation was the best path to that!” Lala admitted hotly, her blush intensifying.
…This girl is hopeless. I have to fix this quickly, or she’s going to grow up to be an increasingly weird young woman, you know.
”Phew! I don’t need to do all that. I’m satisfied with my life right now, and I don’t want a country. Even if I had one, I’d just end up giving all of it to Alexia and you Heroines as assets in the end, so relax,” I soothed.
”I don’t fully understand what Shin-sama is saying. But I completely received the message that you deeply love me and are offering me this advice!” Lala proclaimed with satisfaction.
Huh? Did I say it like that? …Well, whatever.
”Yep. That’s pretty much what I said. I’m glad it got across well. Besides, I’ll protect you from any enemy that shows up, Lala-chan, so don’t worry, okay?” I assured her.
”Oh, Shin-sama! To say you will love me (Lala) for my entire life makes me so incredibly happy!” Lala exclaimed tearfully.
”Gah?! Hey, could you please not just suddenly hug me? Besides, I absolutely didn’t say anything like that,” I protested, slightly flustered.
”It certainly sounded that way to my ears~desuwa,” Lala insisted, tightening her grip. “More importantly, Shin-sama, was it truly alright to return Alt-san to the Albion Empire?” she wondered.
”Hmm? Oh, Alt-kun? I think it’s fine since he’s keeping his position in the Shin-kyō anyway,” I replied. “Besides, after he made that kind of request, how could I not send him back to his homeland, you know?”
[Shin, I sincerely apologize for this selfish request. Now that the Senate is gone, the Albion Empire will inevitably face interference from other nations. Therefore, to support my mentor, Lin Tvurm-sama, would you allow me to return to the Albion Empire just this once?]
[Eh? Alt-kun, you want to stay in your homeland (the Albion Empire)?… I was thinking of asking you to be the Headmaster of the Magic Cram School later, but… for the sake of your homeland, huh… I guess it can’t be helped. It’s okay. Also, if you ever run into trouble, you can always rely on me. For better or worse, we’ve been family for several years now.]
[Sh-Shin-sama! Th-Thank you… so much!]
Alt-kun was truly excellent and knowledgeable about magic, so he was a valuable asset, you see. Though there was a noticeable age difference, he was one of the precious people I became close to in this world, both as a friend and as family. I have to make sure to grant the requests of a person like that, you know.
”We need someone to fill the gap left by Alt-san, desuwa. Shin-sama… We must put out a call for new personnel,” Lala stated firmly.
”A call for personnel?… Well, the Black Dragon might be a good fit. That person is well-versed in both dragon games and magic. They’d be perfect,” I suggested.
”The Black Dragon-sama? Is that person your best friend, Shin-sama?” Lala wondered.
”No, not at all. The Black Dragon-kun is an equal partner to me, you know… He’s the one who took care of the nobles who were secretly working in the Regain Royal Capital, after all,” I replied.

Summary:
Following the Imperial Capital’s collapse, a new Dragon Empire rises in a wave of public celebration, completely unaware their ‘freedom’ was bought through memory manipulation orchestrated by the hidden protagonist, Shin. While Fafnir and Haial take the stage, the secretive Lin Tvurm privately reveals the shocking truth about Shin’s hidden power to erase himself from their minds. Meanwhile, Shin relaxes on a giant floating island, easily giving up the political gains Lala desperately wanted, prioritizing his slow life plan and his loyal Heroines over becoming a king. The chapter closes on a chilling note: the new leader, Dragon Priestess Yulize, is internally a shattered, maniacal puppet named ‘Chucky,’ a sign of the unseen, psychological cost of Shin’s ‘scenario’ for the Albion Empire.”,

Character Insight:
This chapter really showcases the depth of Lala’s possessive love for Shin. Her intense strategic thinking—even pushing for Shin to conquer the Albion Empire to make him a king she can marry—is totally focused on securing her future with him, which is a key part of her yandere personality. Her immediate and wildly wrong interpretation of Shin’s simple promise as a vow of lifelong love shows just how easily her devotion overwhelms her logic, making her both strategically aggressive and utterly naive in matters of the heart.”,

Behind the Scene:
The political vacuum created by the Senate’s sudden disappearance was a calculated move by Shin, not just to install the Five Violet Dragons and the Priestess, but to secure a peaceful exit for himself. Giving up the conquered territory wasn’t a sign of weakness; it was a clever way to keep the newly formed Albion Empire indebted to him, ensuring they will cooperate later when his slow life is inevitably interrupted. His farewell to Alt, one of his most trusted companions, highlights Shin’s deep, family-like bonds with his allies, even if his memory manipulation on Fafnir and others shows a colder, pragmatic side to his master plan.

T/L:
¹ “That fool (Shin)” is a translation of aho (Shin) (アホウ), a highly contextual and derogatory-yet-sometimes-affectionate term. Here, Lin Tvurm is using it with a blend of disdain for Shin’s actions and respect for his power. ↩
² Kozukuri no hibi (子連りの日々) is translated as ‘raising children.’ This is a classic yuri trope where a character is aggressively planning a domestic future with the protagonist, highlighting Lala’s yandere devotion. ↩
Notes:
• Lin – Alt’s mentor, described as the ‘Great Hero who sealed the ancient dragon, Albion, who resides in the Dragon Country.’ He is suggested as someone who might possess knowledge of a cure for the dragon race’s strange disease.
• Albion Empire – A nation to the east of Regain where dragonkind is revered as divine. It is currently locked in ‘bloody, territorial chaos’ with the new Demon King’s forces in Schwert.
• Alt – A Dragonkin member of the Twelve Apostles who was researching Dragonkin-related Divine Artifacts. He becomes Shin’s primary source of information and suggests consulting his mentor, Lin, for a potential cure.
• Mars – The stern General Affairs Officer of the Student Council who maintains discipline, corrects the president’s informal speech, and manages administrative duties.
• Kukulkan – Tree dragon, Five Purple Dragon member.
• Right – An upperclassman frustrated with ten-year-old Alexia’s presidency who initially supported Lilith (‘Lili-tan’) for the role. He represents the ‘cute girl fetish’ faction, rips up the magic paper in anger, and engages in heated debates with Left about the academy’s bizarre political landscape and student obsessions.
• Chucky – A dilapidated puppet summoned by Master Raichi using Wonder Texture Key. Instantly sliced in half by Alexia’s Golden Axe before it could attack.
• Lala – Delusional saint candidate from the Lax Empire who becomes fanatically devoted to Shin, founding a religion in his name and often speaking with the quirky suffix ‘~desuwa’
