Back home, I asked Ami-chan for a detailed rundown of the monster we had just encountered.
”Even I got a little jumpy there~. But thankfully, it wasn’t a very high-level one!” Ami-chan cheerfully reported.
”Based on what you’ve told me, I was expecting the pursuers to be super strong,” I admitted.
”There are ‘Combat Specialization’ types, you see,” she explained. “The one we ran into today was more of a ‘Support’ type.”
Combat Specialization, Support type… Well, it’s all stuff from another world, so I figured Ami-chan was choosing her words carefully so I could understand.
”Still, I never imagined a crow could turn into a monster like that. My heart is still pounding in my chest,” I confessed.
”You face demon monsters in the other world all the time, don’t you?” she noted.
”But this is Japan!” I exclaimed.
It’s completely different dealing with monsters in a whole other world where it’s expected, versus running into one here in Japan. If a normal person encountered that on the way home, they’d absolutely lose control of their legs and freeze up!
”But, the fact that we ran into a part of the pursuers turned out to be a good thing, ultimately. Thanks to that, we were able to figure out the situation they’re in here on Earth,” Ami-chan assessed.
”Really?” I pressed.
”Yes. They can’t always give it their all here,” she confirmed.
It seems that on Earth, they are forcibly switched into an energy-saving mode. Think of it like a being with a power level of 10 coming to Earth, having 70% of their power cut, leaving them with only 3.
This means that the more powerful a pursuer is, the more their power—or rather, their ‘Existence Power’—is shaved off. Since they can’t maintain their bodies or their abilities, they usually possess small animals.
”Even if they temporarily regain their power, the maintenance time is probably limited. He eventually dissolved into particles of light and vanished, didn’t he? He was dealt irreparable damage right after forcing his power out. The moment he couldn’t sustain his Existence Power anymore, he had no choice but to disappear like that.”
Ami-chan, by the way, originally has low Existence Power, so the Earth’s rules don’t affect her. However, as I get more Slave of Love¹, she can boost her Existence Power regardless of the world we’re in.
”But if that’s true, the pursuers aren’t much of a threat…?” I mused.
”You’re naive,” she reprimanded. “This time it was just one, but we have to consider them coming in groups. Besides, a Combat Specialization type only needs five seconds to manifest, and Shou would be dead.”
”No way!” I cried.
”Even Water Splendor Flash² probably wouldn’t work on them. Though, judging by the situation, if one fully manifests for five seconds, they’d probably disappear themselves right after. Maybe a mutual kill…?”
It seems the pursuers’ combat strength is still not to be underestimated. Seriously, the swing in power from low to high is too massive!
”The troublesome part is that sheer combat power isn’t enough to win. Whether damage can be dealt to their bodies depends on if the attack has more Existence Power loaded into it than the enemy. Higher-ranking pursuers won’t even be scratched by the Existence Power in your Water Splendor Flash.”
I still didn’t really get Existence Power, but apparently, the fight against the pursuers would be a battle of Existence Power. As it stands, I wouldn’t be able to wound the enemy and would just be defeated unilaterally.
”So, we really just got lucky with today’s pursuer…”
”That’s exactly what I’m saying. Well, if there’s a chance of encountering a really dangerous opponent, I think you’ll be able to see it with your Sun Color’s Demonic Eye³!”
It seems like I really should avoid any future destiny lines that show up in the Sun Color’s Demonic Eye while I’m in Japan. There might be some good fates, but just one mistake and it’s game over for me.
I still have so many things I want to do in the other world! I finally got a better life than I had in Japan, and I can see so much room for growth ahead! I can’t die here!
”Ugh… I don’t really want to stay in Japan too long, but I guess I have to come back periodically to keep this place maintained and stock up on seasonings…”
”And also to make sure the pursuers don’t find the location of the Dominion⁴!” Ami-chan added. “He still thought I hadn’t deployed the Great Phantasmal Soulstone.”
It appears the camouflage on my Dominion is working well. I’m steadily expanding my Dominion in the other world, but since it doesn’t exist here in Japan, the pursuers can’t perceive it. If they find out there’s a Great Phantasmal Soulstone in the other world, they’ll definitely rush over there. I absolutely have to keep the Dominion hidden!
”And I never got to eat that ramen…” I sighed.
”Let’s just consider this a good time to save some money,” she offered.
After organizing the information about the pursuers, I quickly went to bed and welcomed the next day. A delivery arrived in the morning, and I immediately opened the cardboard boxes to take out the contents.
”Ooh…!” I breathed out, eyes wide.
”Now that’s what I call a very clear and good display of desire!” Ami-chan approved.
I had chosen navy blue and red competitive-style swimsuits, along with a set of micro-bikinis in white, black, and red.
With this, I could finally have the cosplay fun I’d been dreaming of! Just imagining the two of them wearing those swimsuits was getting me excited already!
The competitive-style swimsuits weren’t the real serious kind, but cosplay versions. Which meant they were incredibly revealing. It was safe to say the whole purpose was for naughty fun.
”Sigh… I wish I could create cosplay outfits over there too…”
”The chances of that happening are quite high, you know?” Ami-chan said in a leading tone.
”……!?” I stammered, completely latching onto her words. “H-Honestly…!?”
”I told you before, didn’t I~? What kind of things can be created, and what kind of Dominator skills can be acquired—all of that depends on the Dominator Quester⁵.”
I vaguely remembered hearing a similar conversation a few times. She’d even mentioned when we first met that creating a resort area just like the ones on Earth, which I could imagine, wasn’t out of the question someday.
Even now, some items I brought from Japan can be created in the other world. It was certainly possible that as a Quester, the day would come when I could create cosplay outfits.
”Up to Level 4, things are generally quite similar for everyone~. But from Level 5 onwards, the things that can be created tend to show the individual Quester’s unique flavor,” Ami-chan informed me.
”Ah… what was it again? From Level 5, you can start making special items…?”
Like aphrodisiacs. I wondered what kind of things I would be able to create… For now, I kept chatting with Ami-chan while diligently storing the swimsuits in my Treasure Vault⁶.
”I have high hopes for Shou! That deeply concentrated desire that makes you want to throw up, the ego that delights in trampling on the dignity of others…! Plus, having access to two worlds means you can convert all sorts of things into Resource Points, and you have a stable environment to grow your Dominion…! You’ll definitely become the strongest, ultimate Dominator someday!”
”And you’ll be able to regain your power, Ami-chan,” I finished for her.
After lunch, I went out shopping in the afternoon. I bought a huge amount of stuff, including various seeds and groceries. I even bought some new detergents.
I usually just wash my body with water. But the bathhouse is almost finished, and Cleonora and the others sometimes seem to worry about their scent during our intimate moments. I think they have a desire to wash themselves thoroughly and beautifully.
Also, once I start buying clothes in the Republic, I’ll need detergent for them too. Considering all these possibilities, I bought a lot of daily necessities this time.
But I had a ton of baggage. Since I don’t own a car, I ended up making multiple trips between the stores and my home. By the time I had bought everything, it was already getting late.
”Finally, I’m done…” I sighed.
”You bought more than you planned, didn’t you~? Are you okay on money?” Ami-chan asked playfully.
”I don’t think so…” I admitted.
She was right. I originally planned to cap my spending at 20,000 yen, but I ended up spending more than 50,000 yen. After this month’s rent is withdrawn, my remaining balance is going to be incredibly low.
But at least when it comes to food, I shouldn’t have any trouble for a while. I plan to set up a proper farm over there, too.
Also, it took a considerable amount of time to put everything I bought into the Treasure Vault.
Plus, I had a lot of things to look up on my phone. I copied a few things onto paper memos and put those into the Treasure Vault as well, which was also a hassle.
However, based on this trip to Japan, my Dominion is going to develop rapidly. I already have the blueprints for it.
Looking towards a hopeful future, I returned to my Dominion, where the two of them were waiting for me.
