”Eek-!” Cleonora let out a small cry.
Sparks danced through the air with increasing violence, and then, as if a jar of starlight had been shattered, the space overflowed with shimmering particles.
”Eh…” I breathed.
As the world settled into a sudden, expectant silence, I slowly opened my eyes. Standing directly before me was a maid of breathtaking beauty.
Her eyes were closed, her skin as pale as porcelain, and her hair a cascading waterfall of pure white. While all the maids possessed a certain uniform loveliness, this one was cut from a different cloth entirely. There was a daunting edge to her beauty, a sense of overwhelming presence that felt as though it might swallow one whole.
Cleonora and the others stood frozen, the words dying in their throats.
”Ami-chan… wh-what was that just now?” I asked, my voice trembling.
”It’s…”
Ami-chan looked equally stunned, her small frame quivering. I’d never seen her like this… well, perhaps once before.
”It’s amazing! A Unique! A Unique Individual!” Ami-chan shrieked with delight.
”Eh… Unique?” I repeated.
”Yes! My Maid Manifestation usually produces something like a silent homunculus. But on the rarest of occasions, these Unique Individuals are born!”
Apparently, a Unique Individual had a low probability of appearing when a certain threshold of Ego Points was poured into the process. There were only twelve in existence, and each was said to possess extraordinary, specialized skills. While their stats were fixed like any other maid, their power levels were reportedly in a league of their own.
”By granting her a class, her ego will awaken, and she’ll be able to speak!” Ami-chan explained.
”Wow… that’s incredible.”
”Her name is already decided, so I can’t change it myself,” Ami-chan added with a playful pout. “So, Shou! Let’s grant her a class immediately!”
”R-right… As the Dominator, the Quester, I bestow upon thee a Class!”
A class was duly granted to the maid. I narrowed my eyes, focusing my will to confirm her status display.

Those already astronomical stats would double? Even if limited to duels, the thought was staggering.
The maid turned her face toward us, though her eyes remained serenely closed.
”You are my Masters, I presume. It is a pleasure to meet you. I am Vectra. I look forward to serving you,” she said.
She performed a graceful, perfectly executed bow. I and the others instinctively bowed back, each introducing ourselves in turn.
”Well then, let’s put Vectra in charge of leading the fifteen combat maids!” Ami-chan decided.
”Understood. Should you have any further requirements, please do not hesitate to command me,” Vectra replied.
With that, Vectra turned and glided up the stairs.
”She’s… quite something, isn’t she?” Cleonora murmured.
”Ami-chan, with Vectra here, surely the pursuers…”
”She can handle most of them, certainly! Though, if it’s a high-level combat specialist, it might get a bit tricky…” Ami-chan admitted.
Hearing that only made the strength of the pursuers feel more daunting. Still, Ami-chan assured me that against anyone I’d encountered so far, the battle would be over in a single second.
With the excitement of the manifestation settled, the grand renovation was finally complete. We began to explore the upper floors.
”Wow…”
”It really has become a proper mansion inside,” Cleonora noted, her eyes wide.
We toured the halls, checking for any flaws in the design. After inspecting the large communal bath and my own private quarters, I moved toward the dining hall. The maids were already busy, bringing out a freshly prepared lunch.

With rice brought over from Japan, fresh vegetables and fruits from the farm, and plenty of meat, we enjoyed a feast of considerable luxury.

However, rice cultivation was messy work. I didn’t want the maids’ pristine uniforms getting covered in mud. Besides, building a paddy field from scratch was a headache. For rice, sticking to Japanese imports seemed far more cost-effective.
By the time I finished my musings, lunch was over. The two girls planned to spend the afternoon patrolling the newly expanded territory.
I intended to join them later, but first, I made my way back to the chamber of the Great Phantasmal Soulstone. There were still things that needed checking.
”This place has become quite grand too, hasn’t it!” Ami-chan remarked.

”Vectra must have a maintenance cost while she’s manifested, right? What happens if I can’t maintain her and she disappears?” I asked.

I nodded. She was an extraordinary asset, but the risk of permanent loss was real. Looking at my Resource Point gauge, I could see it draining steadily. The addition of high-level maids and the luxury of the bath were clearly taking their toll.
”Also, this only applies to female-type Uniques… but it’s possible to take them outside the Dominion,” Ami-chan revealed.

Ami-chan was quite literally recommending he use the majestic Vectra as a tool for relief. Given the massive drain on my resources, it was a practical argument. I sighed, realizing I’d eventually have to explain the ‘situation’ to Cleonora and the others.
