Volume 2 Chapter 26 Members

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

I was woken up by Principal Annerose with an entirely unreasonable complaint.

”If you cause trouble, you have to apologize. That’s exactly why you got divorced.”

I fired back at the complaint in my head.

Of course, I didn’t actually say it out loud.

I wasn’t nearly brave enough for that.

Even so, Principal Annerose suddenly stopped and looked back at me with a terrifying glare.

Then, despite already having started to leave, she stomped right back over.

Was she some kind of open telepath?

”Don’t tell me, you haven’t laid a hand on my daughter, right?”

 ”That’s unthinkable.”

Even last night, thanks to the pathetic nature of men who react whenever they’re tempted, I’d already been completely drained by the other two.

I wanted to protest that such a ridiculous accusation was insulting, but—

 ”Are you sure?”

”Of course. Besides those two, the ultra-perverted Great Demon King Henrietta-sama is waiting in the wings too. You’re the one who made her my instructor, remember? Functionally speaking, anything beyond that is impossible.”

”You… did you sleep with Pamela?”

 ”No.”

Certainly, I spent plenty of time around the Elf Mage Pamela, but we’d never gone that far.

Would it actually be rude if I didn’t?

Though admittedly, I did hesitate a little because of her petite build.

”I see. So you dislike interspecies relationships.”

”Is that it? …Yeah, I guess.”

 Thank goodness.

As expected, even Principal Annerose couldn’t use Mind-reading¹ unless we were making skin contact.

The complaint I’d only thought about earlier clearly hadn’t gone through either.

The moment I relaxed and let out a bitter smile, Principal suddenly grabbed my hand.

 This is bad.

She’s going to read my mind.

Once someone’s Mana² control reaches Level 3 or higher, they can use a technique called “Mind-reading” through physical contact.

There was no way the Principal of the Magic School couldn’t use it.

Sure enough, she activated Mind-reading at the exact moment my guard dropped.

 ’Principal, isn’t that cheating?’

’How naive, you worthless problem child!’

Ah. I’m definitely getting hit for this.

 The instant I thought that—

 BOOM.

The earlier sound that marked Principal Annerose’s arrival had been like a one- or two-shaku firework shell.

This one felt more like a four-shaku shell.

The impact rumbled deep through my stomach.

Principal Annerose stiffened at the unexpected blast and let go of my hand.

 ”Is it war?”

 ”No way.”

Ignoring my answer entirely, she immediately started running.

I hurried after her, though wearing nothing but a single layer of underwear made the freezing air unbearable.

When we entered the administration building, Principal Annerose tore apart the chain blocking the restricted staircase and sprinted upward without hesitation.

The administration building was probably four or five stories tall by normal standards.

When we reached the narrow top passageway, she threw open the skylight window.

 An icy wind blasted inside.

Leaning out the window, Principal strained her ears.

Other staff members soon came rushing up as well.

A pale white line had appeared along the horizon.

 Dawn was approaching.

I cautiously leaned my head out beside Principal Annerose.

It was a view I’d never seen before.

From up here, the terrain surrounding Besanburg was clearly visible—the Danube River, the sediment from the Inn River that merged into it, the sandbar formed by the deposits, and the plateau where the city itself sat.

Despite the pre-dawn darkness, lights glowed throughout most of the city.

Probably because of that massive explosion.

Across the Inn River, movement was visible near the bridge leading toward the opposite bank.

People carrying lights bustled around near the riverbank.

It was too dark and distant to make out exactly what they were doing, but beyond the embankment stood the military academy.

The culprit was obviously the gorilla-macho guy.

Without even testing it properly, he’d probably forced the artificial deer scare³ to scale up far beyond reason.

Once I’d figured that much out, there was no reason to keep standing around in the freezing cold.

The moment I started pulling back from the window, Principal Annerose grabbed the collar of my underwear from behind, our skin brushing together in the process.

’You bastard. What do you know?’

Because we were making skin contact, she spoke through Telepathy, though she’d probably already read my thoughts anyway.

 There was no point answering.

 ’Enough already. Go.’

Apparently satisfied, she finally let me off.

I squeezed past the staff members still climbing the stairs and returned to the room, then crawled straight into bed.

 Cold.

The first thing I saw was Marie’s bare back.

Without thinking, I wrapped myself around her.

 ”Cold!”

My body must’ve been freezing; she immediately twisted around and pushed at me with both hands and feet.

 ”Stop it.”

 ”Just a little.”

 ”No.”

”It’s not like you’ll wear out.”

Nico completely misunderstood the conversation and hugged me from behind.

 Warm.

”What are you trying to do to Marie this early in the morning? You’re energetic.”

”My body’s freezing. I just wanted someone to warm me up.”

Nico whispered directly into my ear as she hugged me from behind, sending a shiver down my spine.

 Not from the cold, either.

The warmth of her back felt nice, but her hands and feet were freezing.

Those icy fingers slipped inside my underwear and wrapped around my crotch.

 ”Nico-san? You’re misunderstanding this, right?”

”What? It’s warm here. Feels good.”

Honestly, the cold sensation did make it more stimulating.

 ”Marie, his balls are moving.”

 ”Seriously?”

Could the two of you maybe not be interested in that?

 ”Ah… bathroom. One second.”

With my body still cold and my crotch getting stimulated, I fled before things got worse.

Nico really was what you’d expect from a working adult: she woke up early every morning, finished the household chores, and left the room before either Marie or me, since we were still students.

But ever since returning from the trial, Nico had started asking for a kiss before leaving.

Maybe the sudden trip to the Royal Capital had left her feeling uneasy.

After Nico left, Marie and I started changing into our uniforms together.

”That sound this morning… you were involved somehow, weren’t you? Even Principal Annerose showed up.”

Marie clearly suspected I had something to do with it too.

”I can’t say I’m completely unrelated, but none of it was my responsibility.”

”If that’s true, then fine. But if Principal Annerose or somebody else drags you off to the Royal Capital again, I’d get lonely.”

I told her the culprit wasn’t me and that I was innocent, but honestly, who knew anymore.

It felt like she’d just raised another bad flag.

Before leaving the room, Marie copied Nico and asked me for a kiss too.

Unlike Nico, who only brushed our lips together lightly, Marie immediately slipped her tongue in.

People said those with strong Mana control also had strong sexual desire.

Maybe there really was something to that.

When the two of us entered the dining hall for breakfast, people greeted us with noticeably colder looks.

Back when I first enrolled, the cold stares had been unavoidable because of the war and my reputation as someone with combat experience.

Then, just as it finally felt like I’d started closing the distance with the other students during the New Year’s celebration, the incident involving the General School nobles, the Royal Capital summons, and the duel trial had pushed everyone away again.

At this point, the only students who openly talked to me were Marie, Doris・Möller—the blonde, blue-eyed beauty sitting at the top of the class hierarchy—and Christina・Becker, the Student Council President and grandniece of the Fourth Sage.

Manuela, Marie’s long black-haired friend, belonged to Marquis Harritz’s territory—the same family tied to the trial—so keeping her distance from me was probably the smart decision for her household.

”Larry-san, what was that sound this morning?”

The one who asked as though I obviously knew the answer was Doris.

 So she suspected me too?

 Well, I wasn’t exactly uninvolved.

The other students nearby quietly strained their ears toward us as well.

”Well… I honestly have no idea what you’re referring to.”

The moment I answered vaguely, Doris flashed a full smile and reached for my hand.

 ”What are you doing?”

 Marie immediately cut in.

 Nice save.

She grabbed Doris’s wrist before she could use Mind-reading.

”Oh my, my apologies. The sound this morning resembled the one Larry-san made in the courtyard the other day, so I thought perhaps it was something that shouldn’t be discussed openly. I considered using Telepathy instead…”

 Unfortunately, she was exactly right.

Since the whole thing had been caused entirely by that gorilla-macho idiot acting on his own, I really didn’t want to get dragged into the mess.

”At the moment, I’m in confidential discussions with a military official from the Royal Capital, so I’d prefer not to have my thoughts read.”

 Technically, that wasn’t a lie.

Even if Doris peeked into my memories about the Dwarf sisters, she probably wouldn’t understand most of it anyway.

”My, how important you are. Come to think of it, Larry-san was admitted through Special Recommendation, wasn’t he?”

The remark sounded faintly sarcastic, but as long as she stopped digging into the connection between me and the incident, I was satisfied.

Even on a day like this, I attended class properly.

Compared to my university days in my previous life, the difference was enormous. The thought of repeating a year and cramming for hellish exams again was unbearable for someone mentally closer to an old man.

Steady effort every day was far healthier.

And honestly, most classes were surprisingly interesting.

 Except law.

 Law was terrible.

I would’ve liked more lectures about magical-tool material systems, but that didn’t seem likely anytime soon.

That afternoon, the first-year students aside from me headed off for their aptitude and capacity assessments.

Those would wrap up by the end of the week.

After that, the newly assigned Research Students would begin their lower-class Mage duties in earnest.

Once lunch ended and Marie headed off separately, I ran into Pamela on her way to eat.

 ”Henrietta’s in the lab.”

Then I might as well stop by.

”By the way, were you responsible for the sound this morning?”

Pamela wore Gothic Lolita clothing along with gloves, leaving no exposed skin, meaning Telepathy wasn’t possible either.

Still, asking that so bluntly in the middle of a crowded cafeteria felt a little reckless.

”I was properly in the dormitory the whole time, you know.”

 ”What? That’s boring.”

 What exactly was she expecting?

Life wasn’t packed with interesting stories every single day.

And thanks to her loud voice, everyone nearby was openly listening now.

Well, even if I tried hiding it, the truth would spread eventually, so I headed to the research lab to see Henrietta-san.

 ”I see… haaah… what a dreadful mess…”

After reading my thoughts, Henrietta-san let out a long sigh.

I let myself skim her thoughts as well and immediately understood why.

From the trainees to the lecturers, practically everyone believed I was involved in the pre-dawn explosion.

 Which wasn’t entirely wrong.

On top of that, the real controversy seemed to be that the magical tool had been developed at the military academy.

Apparently, the issue was one of pride: why had a weapon conceived by a student of the Magic School been prototyped at the military academy first?

According to people familiar with the technology, the blast rivaled the Empire of Rus’s artificial deer scare³.

Without question, it’d become a weapon on the same level as the nation’s Golems.

And because the original idea came from a Magic School student, many considered it humiliating that the military academy had beaten them to the first prototype.

Personally, I thought none of that had anything to do with them.

Incidentally, the thing I’d built the other day—the one Principal Annerose scolded me for—apparently didn’t count.

To receive the honor of “Prototype Number One,” you needed formal blueprints properly drawn on parchment.

”They’ve been making a racket about forcing the next idea out of you even if they have to crack your skull open,” Henrietta-san muttered with a weary sigh.

As she spoke, she stepped behind me and pressed her chest against my back.

 ”So? Any brilliant ideas?”

”I already discussed the concept I had in mind with a representative from the military’s Arsenal Bureau. Didn’t you just read it from my thoughts?”

”Too much work. I didn’t bother. Can’t you redirect the project to our department instead?”

”I doubt it. It probably requires industrial infrastructure only the military has.”

Honestly, I didn’t think manufacturing ball bearings at the academy was completely impossible.

Then again, I still didn’t fully understand the limits of the school’s facilities.

”I see. Then perhaps Principal Annerose could apply a little institutional pressure. Even if only for appearances.”

”I wouldn’t count on it. The officer in charge over there is apparently Principal Annerose’s daughter.”

Until that moment, Henrietta-san had spoken with her usual lazy indifference.

Suddenly, she fixed me with a razor-sharp stare.

 ”Is that true?”

The warmth pressing against my back vanished instantly.

”Yeah. Both sides openly acknowledged it. Principal Annerose is divorced, and her daughter stayed with her father’s side. Their surnames are different.”

Principal Annerose’s full name was Annerose von Bülow.

The Dwarf officer was Sabrina Haas.

”That explains it,” Henrietta-san muttered. “Any man capable of enduring Principal Annerose’s personality would either be a remarkable gentleman or an utter masochist.”

Coming from her, that was rich.

”Well, if it’s her daughter, then pulling strings really might be impossible,” she continued. “On another note, there’ve been proposals from higher up about giving you a private room. Or rather, a dedicated research space. Whether that actually happens is another story.”

If I had disposable students to use as labor, managing a lab might’ve worked.

 Doing everything alone sounded exhausting.

”So, heading back to the Principal’s daughter’s place again today?”

”Yeah. She’ll probably return to the Royal Capital tomorrow, so today’s our last session.”

”I see. Then make sure you do a proper job. But absolutely do not lay a hand on her. Principal Annerose despises interspecies relationships for religious reasons. If you cross that line, she’ll literally kill you.”

She didn’t need to repeat herself.

Principal Annerose had already made that very clear.

* * *

After leaving the research laboratory, I made my way over to the administration building. There, standing right outside the small conference room, were Sabrina-san and the old Lieutenant Colonel, deeply engrossed in conversation.

”Oh? Are you already heading back today?” I asked.

Just the day before yesterday, he had mentioned that an escort would arrive to pick her up three days from then, making this departure a full day early.

”Regrettably, yes,” the Lieutenant Colonel replied. “I had every intention of unwinding in the Willow District tonight, but some dreadfully unrefined, urgent business cropped up. Thus, I’ve forced myself to expedite our return.”

He was as lighthearted and carefree as always.

Hans-niisan had told me all about the Willow District before; it was the notorious red-light district located in the territorial capital of Besanburg.

Word around was that the quality of the women there far surpassed anything in Obernbach.

However, the current me possessed absolutely zero desire to spend hard-earned money to buy that kind of company.

”Is that so? That’s a shame, I was really hoping to converse with Sabrina-san a bit longer.”

”Aha! Hearing you say that makes dragging the Second Lieutenant all the way out here entirely worthwhile,” the Lieutenant Colonel chuckled. “Don’t fret, though. We shall undoubtedly return in the near future. When that time comes, you and I are absolutely hitting the Willow District together.”

That was hardly the kind of suggestion one should be tossing out to a fourteen-year-old boy, but I mentally resolved never to let him forget that promise.

”I am quite sad to leave as well,” Sabrina said.

The Dwarf woman cast a genuinely reluctant gaze in my direction.

Just as we were exchanging our farewells in a wonderfully warm atmosphere, the massive main doors of the administration building swung wide open. A biting, icy gust of wind swept into the hall, escorting a group of individuals I wasn’t remotely thrilled to see.

It was Walter von Riedel, the house steward for Viscount Bizan; Second Lieutenant Principal Lucas Fischer, the pint-sized leader of the military academy; and Erwin-san, the Commander of the Viscount’s territorial guards.

Seeing this specific lineup immediately dragged up stressful memories of the day my duel trial had been ordered.

The sudden arrival of these high-ranking dignitaries sent the academy’s administrative staff into an absolute frenzy, with office clerks scrambling to attend to them or sprinting off toward the Principal’s Office.

The Principal of the Military Academy and the guard Commander immediately snapped into an astonishingly textbook, rigid salute the moment their eyes landed on the Lieutenant Colonel.

The Lieutenant Colonel didn’t just return the gesture; recognizing the house steward, he offered Walter-san a relaxed, casual salute and initiated a perfectly mundane conversation, remarking on how long it had been since they last spoke.

I had an absolutely terrible premonition about this.

Right on cue, our own Principal Annerose emerged from her office.

”Well then, Second Lieutenant Sabrina, I shall take my leave,” I muttered.

To get back to the dormitory, I would normally have to walk right past this gathering of VIPs, but there was no way I was taking that risk.

I decided to slip out into the courtyard first and take the long way around.

Just as I began to stealthily back away, however…

”Larry. You come inside as well.”

The Principal’s low, menacing, authoritative voice completely pinned me in place.

* * *

Left with no choice, I trudged along behind the group and entered the Principal’s Office. For reasons beyond my comprehension, both the Lieutenant Colonel and Sabrina-san filed in right along with us.

Once inside the room, the high-ranking officials made themselves comfortable on the sofas.

I, on the other hand, was left standing in the exact same spot I had occupied during my previous interrogation.

 (Is this the defendant’s box?)

The proceedings kicked off with a formal apology from the Principal of the Military Academy.

He explicitly acknowledged that the deafening explosion from this morning had, as expected, been caused by that muscle-bound gorilla, Corporal Thomas Bauer.

Admitting that his own institutional supervision had been entirely inadequate, the pint-sized Principal bowed his head deeply.

With the apology out of the way, he produced several prototype blueprints for an artificial shishi-odoshi drawn on parchment and laid them out across the table.

Realizing that the house steward wouldn’t understand a single thing just by staring at technical specifications, he slid the documents over to Principal Annerose.

Our Principal accepted them with a thoroughly displeased expression.

She took a brief glance, coldly remarked, “What a remarkably rudimentary design,” and tossed them back onto the table with complete disinterest.

”Allow me to take a quick look, if you don’t mind.”

The Lieutenant Colonel picked up the parchments, muttered a few quiet words to the Dwarf woman standing beside him, and then extended the blueprints directly toward me.

”Larry-kun, what are your thoughts upon reviewing these?”

Numbers from one to three were assigned to it, depicting an artificial shishi-odoshi that grew progressively massive with each iteration.

They had utilized thick, rigid slabs of oak to secure the magical coils.

Furthermore, starting from the second diagram, the acoustic emission port had been flared outward to resemble the horn of a trumpet.

In the third diagram, they had simply scaled up the dimensions indiscriminately.

As a result, one side of the mouth to put the Fireball in was forty centimeters across, while the total length of the apparatus stretched to a massive three meters.

I felt it was dangerous at a glance.

The coil density was excessively high, and they had wired four of the Giant Amber used for Golems completely in series.

I see, so this was the sound of a four-shaku shell.

”Um, was the Corporal actually okay?” I asked. “Shouldn’t an explosion of this magnitude have inflicted severe blowback on the operator as well?”

The entrance is simply too huge.

If you put a decent Fireball in, the back-blast toward the entrance after the explosion should be quite large too.

”As expected, it cannot be hidden, huh?” Principal Lucas said. “Just as Larry-kun says, Corporal Thomas, who created and personally operated it, fractured his upper right arm, shoulder bone, and several ribs. He also suffered extensive full-body bruising and severe burns to his scalp, and is admitted to the military hospital. The artificial shishi-odoshi Unit 3 is also severely damaged, and there is no choice but to remake it anew.”

 The short Principal said apologetically.

”If it were Larry-kun, how would you make this third artificial shishi-odoshi?”

With the Lieutenant Colonel’s words, every single eye in the room locked onto me.

Well, I suppose there was no dodging it now.

”I will make a Fireball for a moment.”

For the sake of explanation, I vocalize the acknowledgment of creating a Fireball on this spot just in case.

When gathering Mana, a white mist-like thing gathers while rotating into a spherical shape.

As I continue to compress it, the center begins to glow red.

Continuing further, it passes through yellow to glow white, and it becomes hot even down to my face from the radiant heat.

”This is a Fireball made like this, but if you let it hold heat until it becomes white like this and suddenly release it, it will spread out enough to burn you, right?” I explained.

A high-temperature Fireball is a source of accidents unless you lower the temperature before releasing it.

Even if I make the created Fireball small and red and release it, it makes a soft puff sound at the end.

”Because there is heat, it spreads out like this.”

The Fireball made white can melt iron, so the temperature is over a thousand degrees.

Even the gunpowder that shoots cannonballs shouldn’t go that high.

”The artificial shishi-odoshi sucks the Fireball into the center of the cylinder with the power of Mana and the coil.”

I prop up the blueprint and indicate with my finger what kind of movement the Fireball makes.

”When the Fireball comes to the center, the Mage’s control has left it, so the air expands with tremendous force due to the heat, right? Just like I showed earlier.”

”Are you saying that makes the sound?” Principal Lucas asked.

”Yes. Because the Fireball is moving at a considerable speed, it expands toward the front of the cylinder, but because the cylinder is in a straight line like this and there is no lid at the back, a dangerous wind comes to the back as well.”

”Are you saying that when it is large, it has enough power to blow a person away and break bones?” Walter asked.

”That’s right. Therefore, instead of making the cylinder straight, it would have been good if the mouth to put the Fireball in was bent upward.”

Sabrina-san let out a small, sudden gasp.

”After that, you cover it with a metal plate or something so it doesn’t break, but it might be better to devise something for the mouth on the side it exits from too.”

 ”Larry, that’s enough.”

As if trying to say there was no need to say any more, our Principal Annerose intervened.

Since I am a student here, I held my tongue without disobeying the Principal.

”I see, as expected of Larry-kun who thought of the principle. It’s a good explanation.”

The Lieutenant Colonel began to speak.

”Then, referring to the story just now, how about making this… what is it, artificial shishi-odoshi, at the Arsenal Bureau? Of course, I will have the prototype drawing made under the joint names of Larry-kun, Corporal Thomas, and our Second Lieutenant Sabrina.”

Speaking of a Lieutenant Colonel, it’s quite a high rank, but he surprisingly chooses his words and is humble.

”The head of the list should be Larry-kun from Bizan Magic School, next should be Corporal Thomas from Bizan Military Academy who, although he failed, showed a certain degree of shape, and the last should be our Second Lieutenant Sabrina. How about this order?”

The short Principal of the Military Academy looks a little dissatisfied but agreed, and our Principal Annerose also vocalized that she had no complaints.

I don’t know how much of an honor it is to be at the head of the joint names on the prototype blueprint, but well, I think our school’s pride was saved too, so let’s call it good.

”Has that side settled smoothly, I wonder?” Walter asked while smiling, but with a voice that vibrated right through the chest.

As the feudal lord, he says he must settle the score for this morning’s disturbance.

 Well, I suppose so.

Regarding that side, Corporal Thomas became the main culprit.

Home confinement for one month, salary reduction for six months.

Deeming that supervision and management were insufficient, Principal Lucas’s punishment was settled with a salary reduction for six months as well.

To the town, it will be announced as an accident during the testing of a secret weapon, omitting the details.

It’s a world where I thought there many absurd stories, but there is no lie in this announcement.

 Surprisingly, it might be decent.

I thought I would be made to take a little responsibility, but without catching any sparks, the post-processing ended.

After seeing off the Lieutenant Colonel and Sabrina-san, I was tired and returned to my room to lie down on the bed for a while.

* * *

Surprisingly, Nico was in the room.

”Nico, what’s wrong? What about work?” I asked.

”It was slow today, and lately I haven’t been able to wipe the floor, and because I wanted to air out the sheets, I decided to take a half-day off.”

It means a holiday from noon.

”I’m sorry, having you do various things.” I said.

”It’s fine, I am your attendant.” Nico replied.

Nico started wiping the floor with a mop that had a rag attached to its T-shaped end while talking.

In order to stay out of the way, I sat down on a chair and began reviewing my notebook for law-related subjects, which I am not good at.

Even though it’s called law, it doesn’t apply equally to everyone here.

Because the scope of the law’s application changes depending on your social status and your degree of contribution to the country, it’s an absolute nightmare to deal with.

(Even though I am middle-aged on the inside, it is embarrassing to dislike this kind of subject. But what I’m bad at is what I’m bad at.)

For the time being, I will write down only the things that require memorization.

”You’re working hard, aren’t you?” Nico said.

Nico, who had beads of sweat oozing on her forehead despite it being winter, looked at me and said so.

 She is like a sister-in-law.

Sister-in-law Teressa, who married into the Fee family.

She was beautiful and kind, and she was the elder brother’s Primary Wife, but I had admired her since I was a child.

Nico happens to be that sister-in-law’s cousin.

Even if she was covered in freckles and had a bad personality, she was often said to be beautiful, resembling the sister-in-law.

Well, she also has a cute side as a tsundere.

”What are you looking at?” Nico asked.

When I accidentally stared blankly, I was scolded by Nico.

”I thought you looked like sister-in-law,” I said.

 ”Cruel,” Nico said.

 ”Why?” I asked.

”Just because we look alike, don’t look at me and remember another woman,” Nico said.

”When you say another woman, didn’t you adore sister-in-law, calling her Teressa-sama, Teressa-sama?” I asked.

”That time and now are different,” Nico said.

Nico says it in a rare sulking manner.

 ”Is that so?” I asked.

”That’s right, move aside a little,” Nico said.

When I put down the notebook and stood up, Nico leaned forward in front of it and wiped the floor.

The scent of her drifted up to me.

 ”You’re cute,” I said.

”What is it, suddenly? Flattery won’t get you anywhere,” Nico said.

In no time, her face is red up to her ears.

For some reason, suddenly, she became dear to me, and I hugged her from behind.

”No, I’m wiping the floor,” Nico said.

”Just for a little bit, stay still,” I said.

 ”Oh, Larry,” Nico said.

Even if she is strong-willed, she is a girl; her physique is not so much, but her arms are slender and soft.

 ”No,” Nico said.

I touched her breasts, which hadn’t shown the effects of breast enhancement yet, lifted Nico’s forward-leaning body from behind, and turned her around.

 ”What is it?” I asked.

Before she could finish her words, I blocked her lips, and Nico opened them slightly to receive me.

Once it comes to this, there is nothing to do but strip her clothes off in a hurry. She cooperates as well.

”I feel bad for Marie,” Nico said.

While saying that, Nico kept taking off her underwear.

”It’s fine if it’s just us once in a while, right?”

Unusually bold, Nico knelt in front of me and pulled both my pants and underwear down together.

Even though we’d just done it yesterday, my body reacted immediately, and despite it being in broad daylight, Nico was acting daringly affectionate.

Looking up at me happily, she took me into her mouth.

After touching and teasing each other for a while, I had Nico get onto all fours before entering her from behind.

Her face pressed against the floor while her hips stayed raised.

”What the hell are you two doing in broad daylight?!”

Marie had returned far earlier than expected.

 ”Exactly what it looks like.”

There was no stopping midway now, so I answered while continuing to thrust against Nico’s hips.

”That’s not what I’m asking! Are you two completely brain-dead?! Seriously, you guys are the worst!”

 ”Just… a little… more…”

Marie kept complaining, but she could wait another minute.

I sped up, my breathing growing rough.

”Watching this is making me die from embarrassment!”

Being watched by Marie only intensified the pleasure surging through my lower body.

”I’m sorry, Marie. Things just suddenly got heated.”

Nico apologized while hurriedly putting her clothes back on.

Watching that while fixing my own clothes afterward made me feel strangely pathetic.

”You’re early. Did inspection end already?”

Rather than early, she’d returned absurdly fast.

”That’s not even the issue! I didn’t get assigned to Henrietta-san’s lab!”

 ”Eh?”

Apparently Marie’s research lab assignment still wasn’t finalized. For the time being, Principal Annerose herself would oversee her.

We were both in the exploration track.

Up until now, everyone had assumed Marie would end up under Henrietta-san.

 Then…

”You’re going to be together with Romy.”

That problem child who looked like a wannabe cabaret girl was joining Henrietta-san’s lab too.

This was going to be a disaster.

 —

 Summary:

Moving from an early morning dynamic interaction with the Principal, Larry encounters the downstream social isolation of his classmates in the school dining hall. The unexpected sound from across the river prompts direct questions from his peers and teachers regarding his intellectual property. He handles these social advances while hiding behind external military confidentiality, leaving the institutional rivalry between the academies hanging as an volatile tactical dynamic

Fleeing the administrative building after witnessing a high-level military compromise, Larry retreats directly to his residential quarters to stave off sheer physical exhaustion. Upon opening his door, he discovers his personal attendant Nico systematically organizing the household layout. The mundane domestic comfort contrasts heavily against the mechanical and political liabilities multiplying outside his window

Larry and Nico engage in a sudden physical encounter in the middle of cleaning duties, only to be caught red-handed when Marie unexpectedly returns early from her assignment.
