”Yeah, yeah~ I get it. I’ll head over right after the next Rating Game.” Riser ruffled his own messy, punk-style hair. “I remember it being at that academy of the Gremory family… what was it called again?”
Ravel, her blonde hair tied in a drill-style ponytail, huffed. “It’s Kuoh Academy, you idiot.”

Elsewhere in the Underworld, far from the Four Great Devil families and deep in the borderlands, others were equally on edge as the Three Factions Talk approached.
”Maria, you must go to the Human World immediately and find Mio.”
Shela, a sexy succubus with white hair and curved ram horns, spoke to her youngest daughter with a frantic intensity.
Naruse Maria, who resembled Shela in seven points but possessed a more petite, almost student-like frame, looked at her mother in confusion. “Why the sudden rush?”
”After your father, Wilbert, passed away, those people intended to move against Mio. They only held back because they feared the current Demon King and the supervision of the Four Families…” Shela lowered her voice, as if afraid someone might overhear.
”With the Three Factions Talk imminent, if they don’t act now, they’ll lose their chance. Once peace is established, the Demon Kings will strictly punish internal feuding. And once the Gremory family stabilizes, we can seek refuge with them.”
”The Gremory family?” Maria stared at her mother, bewildered. “Does that person have any connection to us?”
”To me, no. But when your and Mio’s father, Wilbert, was the Demon King, he shared a deep bond with the Gremory family—a relationship of mutual prosperity and ruin.”
Shela stopped there. In truth, the decline of the Gremory family was deeply tied to Wilbert’s sudden death. No one alive knew the exact reason—not Shela, Wilbert’s lover, nor Sirzechs or Rias. Shela had maintained contact with the Gremorys, and their relationship remained strong, but both sides had been embroiled in such chaos that they had rarely been in touch over the years.
Just as Naruse Maria quietly left to find her half-sister, Naruse Mio, as instructed, the Zogil faction—which had been stirring restlessly—began mobilizing its subordinates.
”Jesta, Ras, prepare yourselves. If the initial plan fails, you will be the ones to take the field.”
Ras, a devil wearing a mask, gasped, his breath hitching. “Lord Zogil, why not let us handle it directly?”
”Ras, do I need to explain how I do things to you?” Zogil’s voice was raspy, his gaunt frame a sign that he was nearing the end of his lifespan. A massive shockwave of mana slammed into Ras.
Ras groaned, staggering back several steps before dropping to one knee. “My deepest apologies, Lord Zogil.”
”Hmph!” Zogil roared, turning and walking into the darkness.
Once his presence faded, Ras clenched his fists, his heart filled with bitter resentment but utterly helpless. Jesta, tall and curvaceous with purple stripes across her face, cast a glance at him, then stepped away with her long, elegant legs, indifferent.
The Underworld was unsettled, everyone harboring their own agendas due to the upcoming Three Factions Talk. Even the Fallen Angels, the God-faction, and the Hero Clan were impacted, initiating their own contingency measures.
May 9th. The second phase of Aki’s team’s special training began.
The first phase of cultivation had gone unexpectedly well. With the data scavenged from the Fallen Angels and the training methods provided by Azazel, Himejima Akeno, Amano Yuuma (Raynare), Mittelt, and Kalawarner—all possessing Fallen Angel bloodlines—had further bolstered their strength.
Himejima Akeno was nearly on the verge of breaking through to S-Rank on her own. Amano Yuuma and the others had finally glimpsed the possibility of a breakthrough; they estimated that after a few more sessions of “Dual Cultivation” with Aki to drive their mana levels up, the breakthrough would be within reach.

Yuuto’s swordsmanship had seen significant improvement under Aki’s guidance, but when it came to mana—specifically mastering the strange energy within his body—there had been little progress. It wasn’t that Aki didn’t want to help, but beyond his combat prowess, his insight was basically that of Asia when she was just starting out. Lady Rias wasn’t sure about the situation either, so Aki didn’t dare to act rashly. It definitely wasn’t because every time they got close, Yuuto’s actions and demeanor made his skin crawl.
During these days, Aki and Lady Rias hadn’t neglected their own cultivation. In addition to their nightly “Dual Cultivation,” they spent the days sparring, familiarizing themselves with the intensity of combat between SS-Rank powerhouses.

”The second phase of training is over. I’ve been thinking about whether or not to extend it.” She rested her chin on her hands and spoke slowly. “What do you all think?”
After the second phase, everyone, including Yuuto, had reached the point where they could break through at any time. But going from A-rank to S-Rank, while not as difficult as a qualitative life transformation, wasn’t simple either. Relying solely on one’s own efforts, if you were lucky, it might take a few days; if not, it could take a few years.
”Continue!” Amano Yuuma (Raynare) said impatiently. “Buchou, you’ve hogged Koaki all for yourself for so many days; it’s our turn now.”
It had been agreed that they wouldn’t Dual Cultivate with Aki unless it was critical, but Lady Rias, as Buchou, naturally had privileges, and only her level of power allowed Aki to gain benefits from the practice as well.
”Fine. But only one at a time.” Lady Rias shot a glance at the three—Amano Yuuma, Mittelt, and Kalawarner—whose breathing had become instantly ragged. “I don’t want a proper training session turning into an orgy.”
The three exchanged looks and buried their disappointment deep inside. Usually, they would cultivate with Aki together, which was incredibly stimulating, full of techniques and sensations that were impossible to experience one-on-one. Since Lady Rias had laid down the law, they had to comply.
Well, a bit of pure love every now and then, having him all to themselves for a whole night—that didn’t seem so bad either. The same thought occurred to all three of them simultaneously.
”Akeno, Koneko, you two decide for yourselves.” Lady Rias looked at the two who had remained silent. “Think carefully. Don’t make a choice you’ll regret later.”
The feelings the girls held for Aki were known to everyone; it was only a matter of degree. For instance, the affection Amano Yuuma and her companions felt for Aki was only a quarter of their motivation; three-quarters was an addiction to the pleasure, the benefits of Dual Cultivation, and the admiration for his strength. Lady Rias’s love was simpler, though perhaps her love for her peerage outweighed her romantic feelings for Aki.

A refined, S-Rank-bound member of Rias’s peerage, she masks a sadistic side with calm elegance while providing magical support.
