Volume 4 Chapter 84 The Future
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
”Hey, about that attendant thing thing—I’ll do it.”
Fredys, the squad leader, started spouting off without knowing a damn thing about it.
Apparently5, the Male-bride of the Queen’s Partner had gotten herself sealed into a jar or something.
”Do you even know what a wedding attendant does?”
”‘Course I do. It’s the person who guides men and women who ain’t experienced with s*x.”
Her knowledge wasn’t wrong, exactly.
The problem was that she didn’t know about the Amazoness’s unique anatomy—and her real goal was clearly the Male-bride of the Queen’s Partner. That was a whole different can of worms.
If we were gonna ask someone to be the attendant, Kenze was the only real choice.
Ah!
”Um, I have a question I’d like to ask—”
This was directed at Leakle, who’d been acting as interpreter earlier. But I couldn’t afford to slight the Queen, so I posed it to the Amazoness as a whole.
”I have an Amazoness with me, and she’s not been doing well health-wise. Do you have any physicians in Oceanus who specialize in Amazoness care?”
Kenze herself insisted she was fine, and her color had improved some compared to earlier—but her cheeks had hollowed out, and she’d definitely lost weight.
”We do have Amazoness doctors, yeah. But what’s the trouble?”
It wasn’t one of the Viscount’s Palace people who answered, but Mahaka—former mercenary, and she’d served on the Western Front too.
I explained that Kenze had been on a long voyage, and that her second child had entered infancy.
”Ah, that sounds like nursing depletion, that.”
”Nursing depletion?”
”Yeah, no doubt about it, I’d say. You ain’t got a wet nurse, have you—from what you’re tellin’ us.”
Leakle nodded in agreement.
Amazoness are born from eggs. Humans gestate inside the body for ten months and are born as newborns, but Amazoness women grow to the same size in three months and emerge from the jar. Even after emerging, they need massive amounts of nutrition to compensate for that rapid growth—which is why they require enormous quantities of breast milk, we’re told.
”But she didn’t lose this much weight with the first child!”
When I voiced my question, they explained: with the first child, the mother’s body still has stored nutrients to give, but by the second, those reserves are depleted. Normally, elderly Amazoness who’ve stopped ovulating and can no longer bear children are hired as wet nurses. Because they don’t ovulate anymore, they produce more milk. Incidentally, the period from the end of ovulation until the close of life is called the “lactation period” among Amazoness.
”The Androgynos Group’s servants, now, they’re oviparous same as us, but they stop ovulation entirely, so they give milk real good. That’s one reason Amazoness buy servants, y’know.”
Apparently they also put them to work on other tasks while they nursed.
I recalled the Queen’s earlier words—that she’d be in trouble if the Androgynos Group’s nation were destroyed.
I see.
”So then, if I buy a servant to serve as wet nurse, that’ll solve it. Or hire an elderly Amazoness in her lactation period.”
”Aye, that’s about the size of it. Mind, I’ll have you know—I’m still active. Still ovulatin’.”
I wasn’t planning to hire Mahaka, okay?
Fredys had this look on her face like she couldn’t believe it. I could guess what she was thinking.
But just to be clear—buying a servant didn’t mean I was gonna make her my woman. Absolutely not.
”Another thing—more of a consultation than a question, really.”
I absolutely had to ask about Emma. And that also tied into what to do about Kenze’s future.
The Amazoness here were looking at me with sincere eyes—like they were ready to seriously listen to my concerns.
”Actually, I know another Amazoness—she’s from Takshurgan, same as Kenze.”
”This one you’ve got suffering nursing depletion—she’s Takshurgan too, is she?”
Did I not mention that?
”Yes, that’s right. Is there a problem?”
”Nay, it’s just—here’s a kinswoman rediscovered after centuries, and now I hear she’s on the verge of extinction.”
Word of Takshurgan traveled even this far, huh.
”And so? What’s your question?”
”Both of them were driven from their homeland by their own kind. Kenze became my slave, so she’s safe now, but the other one—if she’s found, she’ll likely be executed by her people.”
”So you want me to see that she’s not executed.”
”That would be ideal, yes.”
I told them I wasn’t sure I could take responsibility for those two’s futures.
Elf Mages don’t form groups—they live integrated among humans and other races individually. Maybe because they’re long-lived, but they don’t cling much to leaving descendants. Dwarves form groups—guilds, craft associations—and while they integrate into the multiracial world, they still leave descendants within those groups. But Amazoness, though they have dealings with humans as mercenaries and such, also have a nation they belong to.
”Right now, those two’s homeland Takshurgan was taken by The Boltechino. They’ve no country to return to. And one of them is branded a traitor by the Takshurgan Amazoness. Kenze too—I’m asking whether I should keep her with me from here on out, or whether I should ask for her to be placed somewhere she can live—Oceanus, or Nyunpai, for example. I wanted to consult all of you on this.”
Amazoness live longer than humans, and with the way I live, it wouldn’t be strange if I ended up dead in a ditch somewhere. If I’m alive, I can manage things—but if I die, they’d be left helpless.
”I see.”
When I finished speaking, the meeting room fell quiet for a while. The one who broke the silence was the Queen.
”Why do you think we Amazoness dug the Nicaragua Canal?”
Thinking about it normally, I answered: because you wanted a route from Oceanus to the Western Regions (Europe, in Earth terms) without passing through Suez.
”I won’t deny that—but do you think we’d spend decades digging a canal for just that?”
Certainly, with trade volumes in this world, it wouldn’t be profitable.
”We’re founding a nation.”
A nation?
That’d be a problem—the Fourth Sage was planning to make the New Continent Schweilitz’s territory. The Celt Kingdom, which knew about the New Continent, might also have designs on it, and I’d even thought—off the top of my head—that I’d like to offer some to the resource-poor Fee Grand Principality.
”Your nation likely has territorial ambitions in the New Continent as well.”
”Well, yes.”
No point denying it, so I admitted it.
”But did you know—there are already nations in the New Continent?”
I did know that. I’d learned about the Maya, Aztec, Inca, and others in world history. There were others too, but I’d forgotten them. In this world, similar civilizations and nations surely existed.
”Given the ships you’ve built, they may well have already begun their occupation.”
Certainly, it wouldn’t be strange if they were building a second or third “Izumo”-class cruiser at Kure. But when I returned via the Transfer Gate, I hadn’t heard anything about that.
”Eventually, our nation will have to negotiate the division of the New Continent with yours.”
Coming late as we were, this was a welcome development for Schweilitz.
But why bring this up now?
”Far to the northwest of Nicaragua lies a vast land—there, the region’s dominant power, the Mexictli Kingdom, holds sway. Under the agreement between Oceanus and that kingdom, the lands around the Caribbean, beyond the Nicaragua Canal, are ours to do with as we please.”
So that included places like Cuba, Hispaniola, and the northern parts of the South American continent.
The Amazoness were saying they intended to secure that territory.
”We plan to found a kingdom there—one that coexists with the humans who live there, much like Nyunpai.”
”Are you saying—you’d take in Kenze and the others there?”
I couldn’t help blurting it out.
”Don’t rush. Nothin’s decided till I’ve spoken with the regent.”
I’d have to talk to Kenze too, but I thought it was a good idea. If she could finish raising her children there and then come back to me, that’d be perfect.
”There are various hurdles, aye. But it wouldn’t hurt you to keep that path in mind.”
”I’m deeply grateful for your generosity.”
Just then, an Amazoness official arrived to say that we’d be moving to another location for the meal.
The venue, apparently, was the balcony on the upper floor.
But as we were heading there, a warrior in bikini armor came up from below and whispered something to Leakle, who then passed the message to the Queen.
As she listened, the Queen was looking at me for some reason.
”My lord.”
She’d been calling me “you” before, but now she said “my lord.”
”I’d like to ask a favor of you.”
I didn’t mind, but—what for?
When I asked, it turned out they were struggling with interrogating a military strategist.
But I didn’t know the language that strategist used. Even with mind-reading, there was a chance it’d be gibberish to me—but I agreed to help anyway.
At the bottom of those stairs was an iron door. When it opened, the smell of beasts hit me.
The cause, likely, was the whale oil used in the lamps.
It was a small chamber. After the rear door closed, the front door opened.
Before me was a space of about thirty tatami mats, surrounded by stone tiles on floor, ceiling, and walls—a torture chamber.
The first thing I saw was a naked woman of prime age, suspended upside down from a rope. Below her was a large tub filled with water, and the Amazoness warriors were using a pulley to lower the suspended woman into it, then haul her back up, beating her with wooden clubs.
The Amazoness doing the beating was shouting something at her, but the woman seemed barely conscious.
There was also a girl of about fifteen, covered in whip scars, tied and seated on a saw horse.
The Amazoness warriors, noticing us, stopped to salute the Queen—and the suspended woman sank fully into the tub.
Beyond them was a wooden bed with a crank handle, where a man lay naked, wrists and ankles bound to the four corners.
Beside him stood a young—well, about Pamela’s age—Loli Elf Mage. Leakle seemed to be explaining who I was to her.
”She’s put up a barrier of some sort, so our mage tells me.”
I nodded at that, and touched the strategist’s skin—reluctant as I was.
Her mana seemed insufficient, so I fed some in, and the strategist began reciting something like a spell in her mind.
I see.
It wasn’t an offensive barrier like Major Sonya’s, though.
And it seemed the strategist didn’t have the ability to mind-read me in return.
Also—wooden pegs had been driven between his fingernails. He seemed to have a high tolerance for pain.
Then.
I had someone bring in an expert from the Izumo.
After a brief wait, Bebel the sergeant arrived, brimming with curiosity.
”Since you said to bring Vaseline, I guess that means we’re doing that, right?”
”Yeah. That’s right.”
I confirmed the procedure with her, and turned to Leakle. “The barrier will drop for a few seconds. Have the Elf Mage perform a Mind-reading during that window.”
I channeled extra mana to ensure the Mind-reading would go smoothly.
”Alright, Bebel. Go ahead.”
At my order, Bebel nodded, applied a generous amount of Vaseline to her finger, inserted it into the strategist’s anus—his limbs were bound, he couldn’t resist—and began to stroke his soft p**is.
Men are pitiful creatures. No matter how much you hate it, stimulate the prostate and the p**is, and you’ll get hard whether you like it or not.
The poor strategist was screaming something, but I couldn’t understand a word.
”Now then, here comes the mana you’ve been waiting for!”
At Bebel’s barely contained gleeful announcement, I looked at the Elf Mage and nodded. Immediately after, the man continued ejaculating for several seconds.
As expected: the strategist, so tough against pain, was weak to pleasure.
I was also using Mind-reading to check the effect, and while I couldn’t grasp the words from the images alone, it seemed their objective was to occupy part of the Land of the Fire Ring—territory belonging to the Androgynos Group.
”Acting Captain, what about his balls?4” Bebel asked. “Should I pump mana into his testicles to cause inflammation?”
”Naturally. Go ahead.”
As someone who’s been through it myself, I couldn’t let him end things on a good note.
The Elf Mage who had been conducting the interrogation was speaking with the Queen and Leakle in a language I didn’t understand. Judging by their demeanor, she must have gleaned quite a bit of information from the Mind-reading.
I waited for their conversation to finish, then we left the torture chamber.
”By the way, what about those two women?”
I asked Leakle about the woman hanging upside down being waterboarded and the girl on the wooden horse. According to her, they were Daqin nobles—they’d been interrogated about the internal affairs of the nation’s upper management rather than the seeding fleet.
”If they’ve caught your fancy, I can give them to you as slaves.”
Leakle made the offer casually, but I politely declined. After that, I sent Bebel back to the Izumo, and we proceeded to a dinner gathering on the second-floor balcony. From there, we could overlook the harbor, where festivities were underway on the Izumo.
The topic of conversation at dinner was exclusively the interrogation results.
The Amazoness made their living by buying silk and porcelain from Daqin, and spices from the island natives to whom the seeding fleet had been sending immigrants, then trading those goods to the West. Officially, they maintained neutrality with both sides, but they’d been secretly supporting the island natives.
”Thus they were found out. Yet, it seems they thought better than to confront us directly. So they set their sights on the nations of the Androgynos Group—the ones we share mutual dependencies with.”
That made sense.
”Now then, I have a favor to ask—”
The Queen, feigning drunkenness, wrapped her arms around mine. She was an Amazoness in her mating period, complete with a p**is3—though at this late stage, her chest had only a slight swell.
”What is it?”
”Apparently, three large ships have gone ahead toward the Land of the Fire Ring. I want you to find them and sink them.”
Despite still looking like a girl, she said such dangerous things.
”Our own vessel would likely take damage if we got too close to large ships, so we can’t engage in close-quarters combat. Consider us limited to long-range attacks only. So am I to understand that if we spot a large junk ship, we’re to sink it?”
In fact, the Izumo had already lost one of its five Craft Engines to a large junk ship. Close-quarters combat wasn’t an option. But if we could operate suicide drones from a distance to sink the junk ships, we could manage it. I stressed that we couldn’t confirm in advance whether those large ships were part of the seeding fleet’s vanguard.
”It matters not. Surely you’ve noticed—the Land of the Fire Ring’s infrastructure is fragile.”
Indeed. It could be easily pushed to collapse.
As we talked, I walked to the balcony railing with a good view of the harbor, the Queen still clinging to my arm—and spotted three warships entering port.
On the Izumo, I could see Pole shouting something from the foremast, the festivities being called off, and people moving about on the bridge. It was unlikely those three ships could seize the Izumo, but I was sure they’d have suicide drones prepped and ready to launch at a moment’s notice, just in case.
”Well trained.”
The Queen observed, impressed by the activity.
”Rest assured. This is a good harbor—not as shallow as the port at Lamu.”
She knew even about that.
”You thought we would seize your black ship, didn’t you? But worry not. I’ve already made it clear that whoever lays a hand on my lord’s vessel will answer to me.”
With that, the Queen gave a mischievous smile, looked up at me, and closed her eyes—demanding a kiss. When I glanced back, Leakle, Mahaka, and the Amazoness maid who’d been attending us had all disappeared. Only the Queen, her partner, and Fredys the squad leader remained on the balcony.
”Come now, hurry it up.”
Urged by the Queen, I pressed my lips to hers—and it quickly turned into a deep kiss.
”My lord, do you like baths?”
When I answered yes, she took my arm and led me into the building behind us. Fredys and the Queen’s partner followed.
In the changing room, an Amazoness appeared wearing a yukata-like robe, and before I knew it, I’d been stripped completely naked2—along with the other three.
For the first time, I saw the Queen fully nude. Her upper body bore tan lines as if she’d worn a school swimsuit. Naturally, a p**is of considerable size hung between her legs—smaller than my one from my original world, but larger than my previous life’s. And on her untanned back, a large dragon tattoo was inked.
”Fredys. Please help me.”
Before entering the bath, I’d intended to ask her to attend to the Queen rather than me.
Instead—
”I’m going to enjoy myself with Akkeshino (the Queen’s partner).”
What is this? You’re supposed to be an attendant! Don’t neglect your superior officer to prioritize your own desires, you shotacon woman1!
”Indeed. The King, Larry the acting captain here, is quite fond of oral—so I insist you give him a proper taste.”
None of your business!
”Understood. I’ve been studying up on that too.”
What kind of studying?!
More importantly, Fredys—please help me.
I begged her with my eyes, but she ignored me.
In the center of the bathroom was a circular bath, and in the wide washing area, two queen-size beds had been placed. “Let’s do it while we’re still wet”—just how prepared were they?
Led by the Queen into the circular tub, she demanded another kiss. Our lips met, she clung to me fiercely, and then she reached for my crotch.
”Incredible.”
It’s not even hard yet.
I couldn’t bring myself to reach for hers, but I pinched and rolled the tips of her budding breasts. The Queen, still with a girl’s face, let out a sigh.
She sought my lips again, and as I complied, she grabbed my left wrist and guided it between her legs. My fingertips touched it.
This is just an oversized clitoris.
I told myself that. In fact, according to Kenze, during the boy-girl phase when the mating period transitions to ovulation, this p**is shrinks and separates into the urethra and the clitoris.
Right. This is just a slightly enlarged clitoris.
I convinced myself and grasped it—but it was definitely a p**is. Thick, with a glans. The Queen wrapped her hand around mine, forcing me to grip her p**is, and then—of all things—began to make me stroke it.
Ah. Am I going to fall to the dark side of sexual preferences like this? What if I could never go back?
