 In the evening, I decided to stay with Dad, Izana, at an intermediate inn in the dungeon city of Somirkas. It wasn’t too fancy or too cheap, just one silver coin per night.

 ”Well then, can you tell me about the job and skills you got, Rob?”

 Dad looked like he couldn’t wait any longer.

 ”Sure, I’ll read what’s on the status board.”

 A high-tech status board appeared right in front of me.

 I wrote it down on paper and showed it to Dad.

 I thought about not writing down “S*men Enhancement Itemization,” but since Mom, Emma, might have appraisal skills, I decided not to hide it.

 Still, I noticed that I have 2 new unique skills that I didn’t know about.

 I wanted to know more about my 2 unique skills, and the details showed up.

 Body Regeneration: Consumes MP to heal wounds and regenerate lost body parts.

 The next morning, we got on a shared carriage to head home right away.

 The sun had just peeked over the horizon, and it was a bit chilly.

 This world has the same 4 seasons as Japan: spring, summer, autumn, and winter, and it’s currently spring.

 It’s really quiet at this time.

 Soon, the town will be lively again.

 After sitting on a bench at the carriage waiting area for a few minutes, a carriage arrived, probably because Dad had made a reservation.

 ”Good morning, Sir Izana. Is it alright to depart now?”

 ”Yes, please take us to Grove.”

 ”Understood. Please take a seat in the back.”

 Dad handed money to the driver and opened the back door to sit inside.

 I quickly sat next to Dad and closed the door.

 The carriage started moving, and we soon passed through the gate, getting farther and farther away from the dungeon city of Somirkas.

 (One day, I will challenge the dungeon here)

 On the way from Somirkas to Grove, I faintly heard a scream.

 I activated my magic sensing and checked the surroundings.

 There was a strong magical presence moving quickly deeper into the forest.

 Looking ahead from the carriage, I saw a broken carriage and 4 people lying nearby.

 Three were male knights, and one looked like a female maid.

 ”Dad, there’s a magical presence moving further away, so I’m going to chase after it.”

 ”What!?”

 I flew up into the air with wind magic.

 (At this speed, I can catch up easily.)

 I started my pursuit, quickly closing the distance.

 Then, when I was right above them, I began to lower my altitude.

 (There! …The guy in all black is carrying a girl.)

 No need for questions.

 ’Sand Trap’

 I used magic to create a giant sinkhole around the guy in black.

 ”Ugh!”

 He was being sucked deeper into the ground.

 ’Stone Bullet’

 I hit him in the head with a stone bullet, knocking him out.

 ’Stone Coffin’

 I placed the guy in black inside a stone coffin to make sure he couldn’t escape.

 I carried the girl and stood on top of the stone coffin.

 ’Sand Wave’

 I turned the ground into sand and moved it, sliding back toward the carriage.

 The girl seemed to just be asleep. She was breathing softly.

 ******

 After that, we returned to Somirkas and handed the guy in black over to the guards.

 The people who had been lying by the carriage were a bit injured, but they were just put to sleep.

 ”Thank you for helping us this time.”

 The girl I saved cutely pinched the hem of her skirt and bent her knees to curtsy.

 She had beautiful silver hair that reached her shoulders and an incredibly pretty face.

 ”Y-yes! I’m so glad you saved me!”

 (Oh no. I’m so flustered.)

 ”Hehe, I’m Alice Valliere from the neighboring Sphere Kingdom.”

 ”I’m Rob Cartwood. I live in a village called Grove.”

 Sphere Kingdom, wasn’t that the country that got crushed by the demon race in ‘Princess Rave’?

 I don’t know a character named Alice Valliere.

 Well, it’s a neighboring country, after all.

 ”This might be a small thank you, but please accept this.”

 Alice took off a bracelet she was wearing and brought it to me.

 ”What is this?”

 ”It’s a bracelet that helps reduce magic power consumption when using magic. Will you accept it?”

 With a cute smile, she handed me the bracelet.

 ”Ah, thank you.”

 ”You’re welcome. Well then, I’ll take my leave now.”

 After curtsying again, Alice got into the carriage.

 The knights and maids with her also bowed to us before getting into the carriage.

 After watching the carriage drive away,

 ”Ahh. That was nerve-wracking.”

 ”…Rob?”

 ”What is it, Dad?”

 Thud!

 I got hit on the head with a fist.

 (It hurts!)

 ”Listen, why did you run off by yourself? It’s good you’re okay, but in times like that, you should rely on me.”

 ”Ugh, I’m sorry.”

 ”Yeah. Rob, you’re strong, but you’re still 5 years old. Don’t push yourself until you’re older.”

 ”Okay.”

 ”Alright, let’s go home now. We should be able to make it back by night.”

 This is the scene where I first meet Alice Valliere, who will later become my first sl*ve. At that moment, I never imagined that something like this would happen to me.
