We spent our time leisurely, without worrying about the clock. In between meals, we selected songs to sing and discussed the anime and manga we were watching.
It was a fresh experience to talk about such things with someone else. I think Risa-san is good at listening to people’s stories, probably because of her profession.
Additionally, while I only watch anime and read manga, Risa-san has read the original novels, so I learned today that there are different plot developments in the source material and that a significant portion of the story is cut from the anime.
Risa-san should be busier than me, right? Her lifestyle is becoming more of a mystery.
As we spent time together in this way, five hours passed. When it came time to pay, Risa-san thanked me. I was just returning the favor for her help, so she didn’t need to worry about that.
(After leaving the store, I thought we would part ways once I fulfilled Risa-san’s request.)
It was fun, and I was reluctant to say goodbye. The sky was dark, but the bright lights of the entertainment district illuminated the area. Even on a weekday, many students and professionals were walking around.
”So, what was the request?”
It was already past 8 pm. I thought Risa-san, unlike me, a carefree student, had work tomorrow, so it was bad to keep her waiting for so long.
”Umm… should I tell you?”
”If it’s something I can do, then sure.”
Risa-san took a deep breath and, in a small voice, said:
”Umm… I want to try… having sex.”
”……”
Was I hearing things? Maybe the loud music in the karaoke room messed with my ears.
”Umm, sorry. I couldn’t hear you. Could you repeat that?”
”… Please… fuck me.”
Was that… not a mistake?

Looking at Risa-san, who was holding onto my clothes, her face turning red as she looked down, it didn’t seem like a joke. I can confidently say that Risa-san is a serious person and not the type to play around with men like that.

I’ve heard that women have a narrower strike zone when it comes to the opposite sex than men do. …Which means she has enough goodwill towards me to be okay with being intimate with me. Does this mean there’s a chance for us?
Could it be that if I push a little further, a miracle will happen, and I’ll be able to start a relationship with Risa-san?
”If you don’t like it, it’s fine. I thought that something like today would never happen in my life again. It was so much fun, but it’s a bit tasteless to just say “goodbye” like this and leave it at that, as a memory, you know?”
Risa-san’s words, spoken as if she couldn’t bear the silence, kept echoing in my mind. In my mind, I had come up with various reasons and told myself, “This person is not for me,” to avoid falling in love.
Like the sour grapes in the Aesop’s fable. But… when I’m invited like this, I can’t resist anymore.
”…Where should we go?”
”I think a hotel would be best.”
Risa-san, who was so carefree and different from a moment ago, caught my attention, but I reminded myself that it was just her personality. I became preoccupied with what we were about to do and soon forgot about it.
