Volume 4 Chapter 24 Each Person’s Feelings
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
”Risa!”
Ignoring her parents who were scolding her, Risa-san stood up to greet my guardian.
Is she really planning to go out in her kimono? No way, she must be changing into regular clothes in her room, right? It seems hard to move around in that.
”That girl is living alone in America, but is she really planning to have a baby by herself?”
”No, I’m going to America too, so it’s okay.”
I was worried about Risa-san since she left the living room, so I quickly jumped in to ease that worry.
Risa-san is already an adult, and her parents don’t seem to interfere much in her life, but when it comes to having a baby, they can’t help but speak up.
”You have school and your own things to do. You don’t have to go along with Risa-san’s selfishness. She can just come back to Japan.”
Risa-san’s dad, who had been silent, sighed and said that.
I don’t know much about the medical field, but I thought there isn’t much difference in medical standards between Japan and America, and that studying to be a specialist is the same no matter where you do it.
Maybe Risa-san’s dad thinks the same way. But I remember people from Risa-san’s old workplace saying there would be differences in experience in the future.
”No, depending on the specialty, it seems like you can get more surgical experience in America than in Japan. So for the field Risa-san wants to pursue, she really needs to be in America, and I’ll support her. It looks like I’ll be going back and forth a few times until I graduate high school, but after that, I’ll stay with her until she returns to Japan.”
I dug up some vague memories to explain. I’m not sure if that really helps.
I understand what Risa-san’s parents are saying, but from what I saw earlier, Risa-san doesn’t seem like she wants to compromise on having a baby or her career.
When I finished sharing my thoughts, I faintly heard the sound of her kimono rustling in the hallway.
(No way, she hasn’t changed yet!)
She came out of the room faster than I expected. It looks like she just grabbed her things.
”Sorry, I’ll be leaving too.”
I stood up after Risa-san and hurried to catch up with her as she rushed to the entrance.
”Don’t follow me! I’m mad! You traitor, Shuu!”
”Huh? Traitor? What do you mean…?”
”Because! You played the recording for everyone and made it a public execution!”
”I already apologized for that…”
”It’s not just that! It’s about the pregnancy too!”
”I said I was sorry for that too!”
I never thought I’d be called a “traitor” for this. Isn’t that something you only get called for cheating or something like that?
We’ve registered our marriage, so it’s official that we’re getting married. But this is the first time Risa-san and I have fought since we met.
