Volume 1 Chapter 51 Assault
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
When I woke up in the downtown room, I found my hands and feet tied.
It seems that as soon as I regained consciousness, Ms. Claudel ordered this to stop me from rushing out without listening to anyone.
”Darling, I’m sorry. If I didn’t do this, you’d just charge into the royal castle, right? I’m currently doing everything I can to find out about Ms. Akari and Karin, so honestly… don’t get in the way!”
The house was filled with a heavy atmosphere.
Tomori, of course, and Ellulu and Melon too…
The weight of what we left behind was too much, and I could only choke back tears without making a sound.
Puruun was in the kitchen, cleaning her sword, as if to distract herself.
”Anyway, when we go into the royal castle next time, it’ll be a full-on attack. I need to be ready to strike as soon as we find out about Mama Akari and Karin…”
It seems Ms. Claudel secretly sent a fast horse to the princess, so there might be some instructions coming soon. But I can’t wait for that!
I don’t care about the gate anymore. As long as the two of them come back safe, that’s all that matters!
Still, I felt that the chances of a human being caught by the Defense Force and staying safe in that situation were slim. I was on the verge of losing it, but I tried hard to keep my cool until I could figure things out.
About a week later, Ms. Claudel brought news from inside the royal castle.
”They’re alive! Those 2 are alive!”
Hearing those words, I thanked God more than I ever had in my life.
Everyone seemed to feel the same way, hugging and celebrating.
”…But, there’s a bit of bad news too. It seems Ms. Akari is being kept in the new king’s harem and is forced to serve him at night…”
”What?! Why that old lady?! No, wait… sorry, that was rude. Mama Akari is a really charming person…”
Puruun quickly corrected herself.
”Yeah… I always thought Prince Aaron was just a sis-con and a lolicon…”
I looked at Tomori as I said that, but she had a complicated expression on her face.
She probably didn’t want to remember anything about the s*xual abuse.
Even though it was against her will to be violated by the new king, as long as she was alive, I wouldn’t say anything. I decided in my heart and asked Ms. Claudel.
”So, what are we going to do now? If we’re going to storm the castle, I’ll fight too!”
”Don’t rush, darling. I’m sorry for Ms. Akari, but if she’s being liked and protected, she’s probably not in immediate danger. It’s impossible for just us to break into the castle now. I think we’ll have to wait until the princess and Lord Rainsheyn’s army are about to attack the castle. So, I’m sorry, but let’s put the gate aside for now. Rescuing Ms. Akari and Karin is our top priority!”
”I guess that’s how it is… of course, I’m okay with that.”
Tomori and Ellulu agreed with me.
”Then, do I not need to go to the castle anymore?”
Sistemador said awkwardly.
”Oh no, that won’t do. Well, you probably won’t be much help in battle, so you’ll wait here… but even if you say to give up, there might still be a gate left after the princess wins, and we might restart the research on the gate. When that happens, I’ll need you to work too… I won’t let you escape!”
Ms. Claudel said firmly.
That’s true. Even if this time doesn’t work out, it doesn’t mean all hope of returning is lost. If the princess becomes the leader of the kingdom, she might let Sistemador continue his research.
Anyway, we have to rescue Ms. Akari and Karin safely… Ms. Claudel said she would keep in close contact with the princess to plan the attack, so I decided to leave it to her, and I was finally released from my restraints.

Before long, we got a message from the princess.
It seems they’re moving the X-Day up by 2 weeks.
That means the march from Ilman towards here has already started.
But marching around the Royal Capital during the busy farming season might trouble the farmers… Just as I was thinking that, Ms. Claudel explained it to me.
”The princess is planning a new kind of war.”
”She’s going around to the farmers affected by the army,” Ms. Claudel continued, “offering tax relief and support in exchange for their understanding. It seems almost everything is falling into place.”
She paused to emphasize the importance of this development.
”With this, even if Asunabal shows up later, they won’t make it in time! So, one week from now, the siege formation around the royal castle will be complete. Once that happens, the guards inside the castle will also be called to defend both inside and outside the walls.”
Ms. Claudel leaned forward eagerly as she shared this crucial information:
”That’s when we’ll storm the castle!
I heard that the helpers sent by the princess are already sneaking into the town.”
Damn, does Princess Asuka see everything?
She’s more like a military strategist than a princess.
Three days later, Puruun and I went to one of the warehouses managed by the Euler merchant guild, following Ms. Claudel’s orders.
This is where the helpers for the assault team are supposed to gather.
There, I met Ms. Sharlin.
Haha, the invincible Ms. Sharlin!
”Yuuta. How have you been? It looks like I can finally be of help to you. I’ll definitely help both the lord and Karin. Just leave it to me like you’re on a big ship!”
”Oh, ShaSha. Make sure to leave some good stuff for me this time!”
Huh? Lady Beyond? Why is a noble lady in the assault team?
”Hehe, you look puzzled, Mr. Yuuta.
Well, how often do you get to storm a royal castle in a long Elf life? My adventurer’s blood is just boiling with excitement…”
”What are you saying, my lady? You took all the good stuff last time too!”
Saying that, Ms. Sharlin looks happy.
Puruun also met some familiar faces here.
”Um… Ms. Kurus?”
Puruun asked nervously.
”Yes, indeed! Ms. Puruun. I’ve heard about your achievements from far away. I’ve been a shadow for the princess, waiting far away until today. This time, everyone who could join from the princess’s former guards is here because the princess called us!”
Oh, what a situation. I really am, no, we are lucky. Well, even if it’s because of the princess’s orders, we have so many friends who are willing to charge into the royal castle with us, not caring about the danger.
A few days later, the princess and Lord Rainsheyn’s army, leading a coalition of local lords, surrounded the Royal Capital. At the same time, the gates of the Royal Capital were closed, and the Royal Capital army spread out from the castle to defend.
Of course, they were ready to hold out from the start. If they can last until Duke Asunabal’s army arrives, the Royal Capital army might have a chance. But, there’s no news yet about Lord Asunabal’s army setting out.
”Alright everyone. Let’s go!”
With Ms. Claudel as the commander, the group charged into the castle.
* * *
”Hey, General. Why are you panicking now? Isn’t it part of the plan for Asuka’s army to surround the Royal Capital? So what if it’s 2 weeks earlier than expected?”
The new king teased General Naskinpos.
”My king, please take this more seriously. If the siege starts earlier, it means we need more food supplies. We need Duke Asunabal to arrive sooner…”
”I see. But will pushing him really make him come? Well, just make sure everyone saves food as much as possible.”
(Damn, you should just stick to drinking from women’s breasts!)
The general held back the words that almost came out.
Since that day, the new king had been visiting Akari every day, making it a routine to drink her breast milk. He didn’t have any other concubines before marrying Princess Asuka, so Akari was the only one in the palace. However, he didn’t seek any intimacy; he just clung to her like a child, sucking away.
And day by day, he seemed to become more gentle, like a child.
(I wonder if the king didn’t get enough love from his mother…)
Akari thought this too but was too scared to ask.
Leaning against Akari, the new king spoke.
”Akari. It looks like Asuka’s army has surrounded the Royal Capital.”
”Then, can the king fight back?”
”No, I won’t do anything. Actually, the Royal Capital army will just stay inside and wait for Asunabal’s army to attack for about 3 months. It’s going to be really boring…”
He paused, his gaze distant as he considered another perspective.
”But, I’m a bit hopeful. If you were Yuuta’s mate, he might take this chance to storm the castle. The guards around are busy, so the security inside the castle is weaker than ever.”
”So, king. Are you maybe waiting for Yuuta on purpose? If so, please let me stay with you. Just let Yuuta and Tomori go!”
”No way. I need to talk to Yuuta directly…”
Saying this, the new king bit down on Akari’s n**ple and started drinking her milk, eventually getting tired and falling asleep.
”…Mother…”
Was that a dream? Akari noticed that the new king was crying a little while saying that.
* * *
Me and the team led by Ms. Claudel gathered in front of the main gate of the castle at midnight.
”But, can we really break through this?”
I asked Ms. Claudel.
”Oh darling, that’s not necessary.”
She said, pointing at the castle gate, which suddenly started to open, revealing a small old Elf standing there.
”Miss Claudel Rainsheyn. We’ve been waiting for you.”
”Chairman Wackbeiger. Thank you. You’ve taken care of things for a long time. This country will soon be reborn… Now, mercenary team, charge in! Eliminate the Royal Capital army starting from the first floor. The royal guards, follow me and Puruun! Let’s rush straight to the inner palace!”
Ms. Sharlin and Lady Beyond led the charge, attacking the guards inside the castle, who fell like crops being cut down. I really don’t want to face those 2 as enemies.
After confirming that the mercenary team had cut their way to the central stairs, Ms. Claudel and the royal guards rushed up. I followed right behind them.
At the front, I can see Ms. Claudel and Puruun casually slashing away at the enemies coming towards us. Ah, I really can’t keep up with Puruun anymore… It looks like Barua is fighting alongside Puruun too.
Our main goal this time is to rescue Ms. Akari and Karin. So, we’re avoiding the main castle and taking a detour to the rear palace.
There’s no way we can take the main castle with our current strength.
But once the guards below are taken care of, the mercenaries will leave the royal castle and attack a group guarding the gates of the Royal Capital from behind.
If that happens, we won’t have time to just sit back and defend.
The princess’s army should be charging into the Royal Capital from there.
In the end, we are the first to attack the royal castle, and honestly, it feels like we’ve fallen right into the king’s trap, but if it’s a trap like this, I’m all for it.
Eventually, the royal guard arrived at the back entrance of the rear palace, but they stopped in their tracks.
It seems most of the remaining soldiers are holed up in the main castle, and while we cleared out the defenses here, the gate to the rear palace won’t open.
”No good. This is an orichalcum lock and door, right? Why is it so heavily guarded here?”
Ms. Claudel said, and Ms. Kurus replied,
”Well, you have to take care of women…”
Everyone in the royal guard burst out laughing.
Then Puruun called me over.
”Yuuta. Can you do something about that?”
”That? Oh, right!”
I pulled out the Gregory knife from the bag I was carrying.
A ceramic alloy that combines the fantasy world’s orichalcum with modern science.
Which one is stronger?
I swung the knife hard at the lock.
There was a cracking sound, and the result was a clear victory for modern science.
Mr. Gregory, you’ve saved me again.
”Alright, let’s go!”
Ms. Claudel and the royal guard charged into the rear palace.
