”Kent, can you hear me?”
Milly’s voice came through the ‘Magic Mirror’.
Looking around curiously, I noticed a speaker-like device attached to the mirror. Annabella offered me a magical item.
”Sir Kent, please use this ‘microphone’ here. That way, your voice will reach Lady Miriallia’s ‘earphone’.
Apparently, speaking into this would allow Milly to hear her.
”Yes, I can hear you.”
”Then, if you have any questions, please let me know.”
”Yes, I understand.”
Soon after, the first interviewee entered the room. It was Manon.
”I am Manon of the Garuda Cat species. My card color is [purple], and I am 21 years old. I am a freelance hunter. Nice to meet you.”
Manon took a seat as Milly instructed.
”Then, let’s begin the interview. First, what is your motivation for applying?”
”Yes, I heard that ‘Crimson Bride’ is an all-female Hunting Group, so I applied. In freelance hunting, I’ve had to fend off male members who tried to assault me during quests. I’ve been searching for an all-female Hunting Group for a while now.”
”So, Manon, your motivation is to join a female-only Hunting Group, huh? What if a male were to participate, what would you do? Would you transfer?”
Manon was deep in thought after Milly’s question.
”Depending on the situation, I would like to make a judgment, but I probably would transfer…”
”Oh, then another question. Are you a virgin? Or have you already done it with someone?”
Manon’s face turned bright red at Milly’s sudden question.
”Nya, what are you saying, Nya!? I don’t know, Nya!”
Manon’s face turned bright red, and her tail was wagging back and forth. I noticed that her manner of speech was strange.
With that appearance, ‘Nya’. It’s so cute, it makes me want to squeal. It’s too much for a kemono lover, it’s an instant heaven.
”Since this is an interview, please answer properly.”
Milly’s voice was stern.
”Yes, yes, I am. That… um… Manon has never mated with a male before…”
The first candidate, Manon, seemed a bit embarrassed as she nervously shared some personal information about herself.
It appeared that the sudden questions were catching her off guard, causing her with ‘nya’.
After a few awkward moments, Milly continued with her questions, which were a bit more direct, such as mast*ion and her erogenous zone.
It was clear that Manon was overwhelmed by the intensity of the situation, but she eventually made her way out of the room after the interview, looking a bit exhausted from the experience.
Next up was Aida, who entered with a more casual demeanor.
”Hey, it’s Aida, the Majin. I’m 31 years old, and my card color is [blue]. Oh, and Lina, long time no see!”
Aida waved at Lina casually while speaking, her earlier serious impression now replaced with a more playful tone.
It seemed like Aida had a bit of a laid-back, fun side to her.
”Are you seriously going to take this interview seriously, Aida? You know that if you don’t make it into the Hunting Group, your research could be in jeopardy, right?”
Lina said, clearly frustrated by Aida’s attitude.
”Alright, Lina, calm down. Aida, please take a seat.
Milly said, stepping in to keep the peace.
”Okay, let’s get this over with. First off, tell me why you want to join the group.”
”Well, to be honest, it’s the money. I’m really drawn to the generous silver coin pay of three pieces a month. I work as a researcher in the Magic Guild, doing research on guns and magic bullets, but it’s super expensive, and the funding they provide just isn’t enough. So, I decided to try my luck as a Monster Hunter as well. I’m hoping to get some backing from the Blackdagger family, considering they’re one of the wealthiest families in Abyss Vena.”
Her response was blunt but clear.
Milly raised an eyebrow, and I could tell she was considering Aida’s straightforwardness.
”Money is your motivation, huh? It’s certainly honest. But let’s move on to something else.”
Milly said, her voice cool.
”Are you… a virgin? Or have you had any past relationships?”
Aida’s smile widened at the question, but she remained calm and composed, ready to answer.
”I’d like to answer your question, but my lover is my gun. but I’m no longer a virgin due to my youthful foolishness, and I haven’t had a boyfriend in about ten years. I’ve had a few girlfriends though. I’m single now.”
Aida’s bisexual declaration left Milly speechless.
”You know, relationships between women in the Hunting Group are forbidden. If you do that, you’ll be expelled and have to pay a penalty.”
Aida looked at Lina with a puzzled expression.
”Lina, this isn’t a relationship! We’re just having consensual s*x to relieve stress. And it’s great with girls too. Wanna give it a try?”
Aida winked at Lina.
”Are you serious?! Elder Sister, this person is really something else!”
After being led around by Aida, Lina was at her wit’s end.
When the interview ended, Lina was completely exhausted.
Aida was a formidable person.
The third applicant was Innes.
”Excuse me. I’m Innes, a Minotaur-type Garuda. I’m 15 years old and currently work as a waitress. Please take care of me.”
Huh? There’s a strange sense of dissonance in her self-introduction…
What’s with the ‘boku’ pronoun? What’s going on here?
Ignoring my confusion, Milly proceeded to question Innes.
”So, you’re Innes, right? What’s your motivation for applying to this Hunting Group?”
Innes fidgeted, her large breasts swaying.
”Well, I heard this place is for women only, so I applied because I wanted to become more like an adult woman! I grew up in a male-dominated environment, so I tend to use masculine speech, but I thought that if I were surrounded by women, I might be able to change that. That’s why I applied!”
Innes made a fist as she passionately explained her motivation.
I completely changed my image of her.
During the physical examination, I imagined her as a sweet-voiced loli with huge breasts, but in reality, she was a ‘boku’ girl.
A tomboyish persona with such a voluptuous body is just absurd.
The gap between her feminine physique and boyish speech makes my heart flutter. But Milly calmly moved on to the next question.
”Your motivation to become more feminine is evident. Indeed, this Hunting Group has many women. However, I also like your way of speaking. Now, the next question. Have you ever been in a relationship with someone of the opposite sex? Have you done anything sexual with them?”
Milly threw a straight question at Innes, who immediately turned bright red.
”N-No! I’ve never done anything like that with a boy! I’m a virgin, believe me!”
Innes frantically waved her hands in denial.
”Calm down, Innes. So, you’re a virgin, and you’re not uninterested in men.”
Innes nodded her head, indicating that she was indeed interested in men, despite her masculine speech.
After that, Milly asked similar sexually charged questions about mast*bation and erogenous zones, just like she did with Manon. Watching Innes answer seriously made even me feel embarrassed.
When the interview ended, Innes left the room with the same exhausted air as Manon.
Go, Innes! Don’t give up, Innes!
The fourth applicant, Beatrice, entered the room.
”Long time no see, MilMil. This Beatry has come for the interview.”
A high-pitched voice greeted us energetically… but wait! Beatrice was supposed to be twenty-six years old. Damn, give me back my innocent heart that wanted to bribe her with candy!
”Beatrice, you’re older than me, but you still need to introduce yourself properly. If you can’t, I’ll send you back to the village.”
Milly scolded her, and tears welled up in Beatrice’s eyes.
”Waaah, MilMil is being mean to meee!”
”Beatrice, if you’re going to cry, we’ll end the interview and send you back to your village.”
”No, I’ll do it properly! Beatry will introduce herself, so please don’t send me back to the village!”
Beatrice stopped her fake crying and sat down, ready to introduce herself.
”My name is Beatrice. I’m a Dream Demon, a succubus, to be precise. My card color is blue, and I’m ten years old.”
Beatrice lied smoothly.
”Oh, I see. Well, you’re underaged, so you’ll have to leave.”
Milly tried to usher Beatrice out, but Beatrice resisted.
”No, that’s a lie! I’m actually 26 years old. I’m an adult.”
Beatrice puffed out her chest proudly, but the lack of any noticeable curves was a sad sight to behold.
At 26 years old, Beatrice didn’t look like a young girl pretending to be older; she looked like a ten-year-old who had simply grown up to be 26.
In other words, she might still follow an uncle if he offered her some candy.
”So, why did you apply for this job? You’re a member of ‘Silver Wolf,’ right?”
”The leader of ‘Silver Wolf’ tried to grope my chest, so I made him impotent. Then they kicked me out.”
I applauded Beatrice for punishing the fool who couldn’t keep his hands off her, despite her “YES! Lolita. NO! Touch” policy.
But then I realized something.
I remembered that Beatrice was both a young girl and a mature woman at the same time.
Damn, she stole my heart not once, but twice.
I was overwhelmed by a sense of defeat, but Milly continued the interview calmly.
”So, you’re trying to join our Hunting Group because you got kicked out? By the way, Beatrice, you’re a virgin, right?”
Beatrice froze at Milly’s words, and then she changed her tone of voice.
”Milly, what are you saying?! I’m a proper lady of 26 years! I’ve had one or 2…”
Milly stared intently at Beatrice.
”Yes, a virgin. Beatrice, twenty-six years old, virgin.”
Milly jotted this down on a piece of paper.
”Noooo! Don’t write that! Beatry isn’t a virgin! I’ll sue you!”
Beatrice was shocked by Milly’s written words, ’26-year-old virgin’, and became flustered.
”Okay, okay, we’ll give some candy to the virgin Beatry.”
Milly continued to tease Beatrice, but eventually, she cried herself to sleep from exhaustion. What a troublesome girl.
After putting Beatrice to rest in a private room, the fifth applicant, Talia, began her interview.
”Excuse me. I am Talia, a Garuda Fox species. I am 16 years old, and my card color is [Blue]. Thank you very much for Lady Miriallia for conducting the interview personally.”
Talia sits down at Milly’s urging.
”So, you’re Talia. I’ve heard about you from Lana, a Healer prodigy.”
”I couldn’t refuse Lady Lana’s offer, so I participated, but I don’t see the purpose of the ‘Crimson Bride’ being established by the Blackdagger family at this time. Is there another reason for it?”
Talia looked at Milly with suspicion.
”Do you think I have some other motive for starting this Hunting Group, Talia?”
Milly asked Talia.
”Well, this is all just speculation, but I assume that Lady Miriallia, who is soon to be married, has formed this women-only Hunting Group to also gather concubines for her fiancé, Sir Kent. This is because Sir Kent possesses the [Sexual Prowess] Skill, which allows him to become a succubus’s master, and I suspect he’s having trouble finding suitable partners for the night. What do you think?”
Talia had observed our situation and deduced more than half of our circumstances.
”Talia… Please keep your speculations to yourself… You always say too much, so be careful…”
Lana admonished Talia with a worried expression. Milly glared at Talia, as if freezing her with her stare.
”Now that you’ve found out so much, you know what will happen. We can’t let our internal affairs be exposed. Unfortunately, we have no choice but to get rid of you. Lina, have your family’s ‘assassination squad’ take care of it.”
”Elder Sister, as you wish.”
Lina bowed respectfully and turned to leave.
”Eh? Eh? You’re kidding, right? You’re going to kill me, Lady Lana! Please help me! I don’t want to die!” Talia cried out, clinging to Milly in desperation.
Milly’s joke had Talia in tears, pleading with her.
”I’m sorry… I can’t save you with my strength… If you hadn’t been so quick to jump to conclusions…”
Milly apologized, her voice filled with regret. Talia collapsed to the floor, as if struck by a club.
”No! This can’t be happening! No, no, no!”
Talia screamed, trying to crawl away. Milly blocked Talia’s escape, standing in her path.
”Lady Miriallia, please forgive me. I swear I won’t speak of what happened earlier.”
Talia bowed her head to the floor in apology.
”Then let me ask you one thing. Are you still a virgin?”
At Milly’s question, Talia’s hands began to tremble.
”I am currently training under Lady Lana, so I have no time for sexual relations with men.”
”In other words, you’re a virgin.”
”Yes, I’m a virgin.”
Milly helped Talia up.
”Hahaha! Sorry, sorry. I just found your reaction amusing. I wanted to tease you a bit. But remember, the contents of this final interview are confidential, so be careful.”
Talia’s expression changed to one of realization.
”So, if I speak about it…”
Talia’s body trembled.
”Talia, your mouth can get you into trouble. Be careful from now on.”
”Y-Yes. I’ll be careful.”
After that, Talia became the third victim of Milly’s sexually charged interview.
As Talia left, exhausted, the final applicant, Giuliana, entered the room.
”I am Giuliana, a Ghost Ogre, with a [Blue] card. I am thirty years old. Currently, I am a hunter in another Hunting Group.”
Giuliana sat down in a chair as she spoke.
”Then let’s hear your motivation for applying, Giuliana. You’re currently a member of ‘Wild Wind’, right? Why did you apply to our Hunting Group?”
Giuliana pointed at Milly.
”Lady Miriallia, you are strong. I want to fight alongside a strong person.”
”I see. So, you applied to this Hunting Group because you want to compete with me and improve your skills. Let’s move on to the next question. Have you ever had s*x with a man?”
Giuliana tilted her head at Milly’s question.
”What is ‘s*x’?”
”Well, it’s a sexual act, or you could say a reproductive act, with a man.”
Giuliana seemed to understand.
”A reproductive act, huh? I wanted to have strong children, so I received a lot of seed from strong men of my own race. But I couldn’t get pregnant. Now, I want the seed of a man from a different race.”
Giuliana answered while shyly rubbing her belly.
”Do you currently have someone who can provide you with seed?”
”No, recently I’ve been focusing on hunting to make a living, so I don’t have a partner.”
Giuliana shook her head in denial.
”But there’s someone whose seed I really want.”
”Who?”
”I want the seed of Lord Kent, Lady Miriallia’s husband. If I can get the seed of a man who conquered and married Lady Miriallia, a top-ranked Grimoire user, I think I can get pregnant.”
Giuliana expressed her wish, and Milly responded.
”Yes, you can get it if you become a member of the Hunting Group. I promise.”
”Can I really get it? I want to get pregnant with the seed of a strong man.”
Giuliana rubbed her belly again.
The final interview came to an end, marking the conclusion of the lengthy first-round interviews for the Hunting Group.
The six applicants who underwent the final interview were told they would receive a decision within three days.
Since we only have three available positions in the Hunting Group, three of them will have to be disappointed, but it wasn’t an easy decision to make.
”Kent, I’ll leave the decision to you. Choose whoever you like.”
Being given the authority to decide on the applicants was both perplexing and exciting, as I considered the various options.
