It seems that the member of Aida is a girl who uses a handgun and acts as the ammunition loader.
As she opens the backpack she was carrying, the 6 of us, including Aida and me, equipped with rifles, rapidly load rounds into the ammunition cases, completing our preparations for loading and shooting.
I also load the ammunition case and pull the cocking lever to prepare for shooting.
Suddenly, I noticed an unfamiliar bag attached to Elitzina’s (gun) ejection port.
”Aida, what’s this bag?”
”Oh, that? It’s an ejection catch made by one of the members’ girls so we won’t have to frantically collect casings. Thanks to it, the efficiency of casing recovery has improved.”
”I see, that’s great to hear.”
It seems that this bag is the result of the members thinking hard to avoid picking up those casings.
I definitely don’t want to collect those casings.
While thinking about such things, I completed my preparations for shooting.
”The enemy seems to be firing fire bullets, so if you think it’s dangerous, hide in the carriage. Apparently, it’s treated against magic, so it should withstand 2 or 3 shots.”
”Roger that, everyone ready? Then, disengage the safety! Begin burst fire!”
Following Aida’s command, the members holding Elitzina leaned out of the carriage’s windows and started shooting.
As I opened the rear window, I half-hid my body and confirmed the enemy’s position.
The Silver Tiger was chasing our carriage, knocking down trees like a cat that has spotted a mouse.
Since Lina’s magic and multiple arrows were also starting to attack, the driver might have changed to Giuliana.
However, the Silver Tiger, under attack, showed no signs of being intimidated at all.
”Damn, it’s not working. I don’t think Milly and the others were defeated, but we’d better join up. We can’t drag them all the way to Abyss Vena like this.”
I changed the selector of the Elitzina to point fire and started firing at the approaching Silver Tiger.
Bang!
When the bullet I shot hit Silver Tiger, the log was displayed and the job was acquired.

──[Gun HandlingⅠ] Skill has been unlocked.

It seems I accumulated quite a bit of experience during shooting training.
By hitting the Silver Tiger 3 times, I was able to acquire the job.
I thought I didn’t have time to check my skills, but I definitely wanted to confirm the [Gun Handling I] modifier skill.
[Gun Handling I]… 25% increase in physical attack power when using handgun or gun equipment, consumes 5 skill points
In this emergency situation, if my raw attack power increases, I thought I should acquire it.
After checking my points, I acquired the [Gun Handling I] skill.
With this, my power per shot should increase.
Once again, I leaned out of the window to shoot at the Silver Tiger.

When I shoot the Silver Tiger, the level of [Gunsmith] quickly increases.
A burst fire consists of 3 shots, so 2 bursts equal 6 shots.
That means leveling up to LV6 means I gained one level with just one hit.
That alone is proof that it’s a powerful monster.
However, the Silver Tiger shows no signs of weakening at all.

Three shots and already level 10.
By increasing the level, I can now slightly inflict wounds on Silver Tiger.
I hide in the carriage and slides the nearly empty ammunition case onto the floor, handing it to the feeder.
The girl in charge of ammunition slid a new case over to me.
Just as they were finishing loading new ammunition, the carriage felt a loud vibration.

Aida and the others’ screams echo through the shaking car.

Apparently, the carriage was lifted up by the recoil of Silver Tiger’s flame bullets that hit it close to the carriage.
I got back on my feet after falling on my backside and took aim at the Silver Tiger.
However, it seemed that the bullets hitting its fur weren’t penetrating, and the only places I managed to injure were its mouth and the area around its red eyes.
I decided to shoot for its eyes.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
I ran out of bullets and hid behind the carriage.

──The [Hawk’s Eye] skill has been unlocked.
I shot at its eyes with concentrated fire, but my shooting skills weren’t precise enough to hit the target.
However, I felt that the recently unlocked combat skill might be able to help me.
[Hawk’s Eye]…activates, increasing accuracy of pistols and rifles by 50%, costs 10 skill points
With my Gunsmith level up and having points available, I immediately learned the [Hawk’s Eye] skill.
Then, I consumed some magic power to activate [Hawk’s Eye].
Suddenly, the distance to the Silver Tiger, which had felt far away until now, shortened, and its quick movements transformed into a slow motion.
Thinking I could now aim for its eyes more effectively, I pulled the trigger of my Elitzina.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The bullet I fired pierced Silver Tiger’s right red eye and succeeded in crushing it.
Silver Tiger, whose eye had been crushed, writhes in pain and spits out a flaming bullet in anger.
I realized that the trajectory of the fireball was on a direct course to hit the carriage.
Bad!
Direct hit!
I immediately hide myself and issue a warning.
”Everyone, a direct hit is coming. Take cover and hold on tight!”
Aida and the others heard my warning and hid themselves, clinging on to the ground to avoid being blown away.
Bang!
Thud!
The carriage shook violently as if it had been shaken, then tilted to the left and stopped moving.
I think the direct hit blew off the wheels of the carriage, immobilizing it.
Manon came from the carriage ahead.
”Sir Kent, the hunting carriage is wrecked-nya. Please prepare to escape before Silver Tiger comes-nya.”
”Got it. Aida! Get the members armed with ammo! I don’t think we’ll escape without bullets.”
”Roger that. I don’t want to die either. Everyone, take all the ammo!”

The gun users quickly gathered the ammo cases scattered on the floor and stuffed them into their backpacks.
Then, each of them strapped on their backpacks and fled from the carriage.
”Hurry up! The Silver Tiger is coming!”
While I was watching Aida and the others escape, I was on guard for the approach of the Silver Tiger.
As everyone managed to escape from the carriage, the one-eyed Silver Tiger approached us, spewing black particles from its lost eye while running at full speed.
”It’s coming! Spread out and escape to avoid the flame bullets! I can see the walls of Abyss Vena! Run! Run!”
Having lost our carriage, we had no choice but to escape into Abyss Vena.
I urged everyone to run, believing that the guard team would support us once we reached the walls.
Meanwhile, the Silver Tiger was closing the distance, so to help everyone’s escape, I activated [Hawk’s Eye] again.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
In an instant, I shot the remaining eye of the Silver Tiger in slow motion.
With a pop, I succeeded in crushing the Silver Tiger’s other remaining eye.
Uuuhhhh!
With both eyes closed, Silver Tiger stopped chasing us and started swinging its front legs around without regard for the surroundings.
The surrounding trees were knocked down.
”Now is the time! Let’s run! Run until our legs break!”
After I confirmed that I had succeeded in holding it back, I decided to run away at the rear of the group.
But when the enraged Silver Tiger lost its sight, it seemed to catch us by scent.
Flames were leaking from its mouth and it was about to fire flame bullets at us.
”Here comes the fireball, everyone!”
At the same time as I warned him, Silver Tiger shot a fireball.
It was a huge mass of flame, even bigger than before.
A roaring fireball approaches and hits the ground near me.
Boom!
The moment the projectile hit, a blast of heat surged around me along with the shockwave.
During the battle with the Shade Dog, the damaged shoulder guards of my armor were blown away by the blast.
At the same time, a tingling pain shot through my left side.
When I looked at the painful spot, it had turned keloid, even showing some bone──worse than when Lina hit me with a fireball.
In other words, I had become a victim of that fiery projectile.
Seeing that I was down and taking damage, Lana was trying to rush over, but Giuliana stopped her.
”I commanded you to run until your legs rip apart! Don’t stop, go! Giuliana! Safely take everyone away! I’ll heal myself and come after you!”
”Mr. Kent! That’s impossible! Ms. Giuliana, let go! Let gooooo!”
”I’m sorry, Lana…”
Giuliana struck Lana to knock her out, then picked her up and ran off.
The other members, despite feeling reluctant, obeyed my orders and began running toward the castle wall while carrying the rescued succubus girl.
Having witnessed that, I decided to start my healing.
”Gathering magic element, heal and mend my wounds! First Aid!”
The green light that emanated from my right hand restored the keloid on my left side, where bone was even showing, back to its original state. However, it seemed that the healing from First Aid could only stop the bleeding.
As a result, my left side continued to throb with pain.
