As we was finishing up the task of organizing the items in the storage room, only the last medicine cabinet remained, when Lady Miriallia suddenly said something that caught my attention.
”We have tonics, aphrodisiacs, sleeping pills, and truth serums. Also, there are pregnancy drugs, abortion pills, and contraceptives.”
Hearing the word “pregnancy medicine” made me extremely curious about its effects.
Maybe, with that medicine, I could conceive Sir Kent’s child.
Caught up in such thoughts, I asked Lady Miriallia about the effects of the medicine.
”Oh, pregnancy drugs… Lady Miriallia, what kind of medicine is that?”
In my nervousness, my voice cracked.
I thought to myself that I looked really desperate, but the possibility of being able to conceive the child I had dreamed of made me act hastily.
”Ms. Annabella, please calm down. This pregnancy drug is a type of poison that can make a woman’s body able to conceive only once, but if it doesn’t happen, her period will stop──it’s a dangerous medicine!”
Lady Miriallia explained the effects of the medicine carefully to me as I pressed her, stating firmly that this medicine is a poison.
However, thinking that my long-lost dream was right in front of me, the risk of stopping my period that Lady Miriallia mentioned didn’t seem like a big deal.
After all, I am a ‘stone woman’ who cannot bear children.
So, having my period stop is not a big deal.
In fact, being able to serve Sir Kent at any time could be seen as an advantage.
I asked Lady Miriallia if the pregnancy medicine would work on a ‘stone woman.’
”Will it work on a ‘stone woman’?”
Lady Miriallia seemed to struggle to answer, but eventually, she spoke up.
”I think it will work. It forces the body to be able to conceive. But it’s too dangerous, you can’t use it!”
After hearing those words, I desperately wanted this pregnancy medicine.
If she offered it to me, I would do anything, no matter how unreasonable.

However, Lady Miriallia is refusing to give me the medicine, so I looked at Sir Kent with a pleading expression.
But it seemed that Sir Kent did not want me to take the medicine.
I wondered if Sir Kent was against me taking the medicine…
I thought that if I pushed my way here, Sir Kent might give in, but I worried that a selfish Maid like me would be pushed away.
My heart was swinging back and forth, weighing the chance of having a child against the joy of serving by Sir Kent’s side.
In the end, I chose to stay by Sir Kent’s side.
I thought about what would happen if I couldn’t have a child and was pushed away from Sir Kent.
If that happened, I felt I wouldn’t be able to live, and just imagining it made me feel sick.
I could only watch as Lady Miriallia placed the pregnancy medicine with the poison for the Hunter Guild.
After that, I tried not to think about the pregnancy medicine and finished organizing the storage.

As I walked down the hallway after finishing today’s work, Carly called out to me as she was going to deliver the poison.
”Head Maid Annabella, I need to talk to you for a moment”
This woman, Lady Miriallia’s childhood friend, has not been here long and often clashes with others.
But even in our short time together, I could see that she was someone who put in a lot of effort.
She seems to dislike Majin, but when I made her do some embarrassing things while working, she stopped opposing me on the surface, though I wasn’t sure what she truly thought.
That was Carlamia calling me.
”Carlamia, you haven’t finished your job of taking the poison to the Hunter Guild, have you? Hurry up and help with the dinner preparations”
”Before that, I have something I want to confirm with Head Maid Annabella”
Carly pulled me into a nearby room.
”Head Maid Annabella, you want this, right?”
Carly was holding the pregnancy medicine.
”Disposing of the poison is my responsibility. I can keep it a secret from Milly and Kent.”
Once, the scale that leaned towards Sir Kent began to sway again.
”Carly, Lady Miriallia told you to dispose of that as poison. Hurry and take it to the Hunter Guild.”
”Is it really okay? That medicine could make you pregnant with Kent’s child!”
”Carlamia! Enough already! I will report this to Lady Miriallia!”
Even though I scolded Carly, I couldn’t stop my heart from swaying greatly.
”Actually, I want to make a deal. I want to get this contraceptive. It will prevent pregnancy for ten years, but for a long-lived True Demon, ten years is like one year for us. If that means I won’t risk getting pregnant with that boy, then I want it desperately.”
”Carlamia! I told you to say Sir Kent!”
I was angry, but I was drawn into Carlamia’s story.
”So, I am making a deal with Head Maid Annabella who wants the pregnancy medicine. I want to pretend to dispose of the pregnancy and contraceptive medicines in the records. I need you to hide it so that it won’t be discovered, and of course, I want you to mess with the numbers in the records too.”
”N-No way that could be allowed… messing with the records?”
”But Head Maid Annabella, who is in charge of the Blackdagger family, should be able to do it?”
I listened to Carly’s words and started calculating fiercely where to adjust the records to balance them.
And the answer that came out was something I could cleverly hide.
Maybe only Lady Lila could find it, but she has no involvement with the Blackdagger family.
I felt a dark fire of desire lighting up inside me.
”So, it can be done… but if I, the ‘stone woman,’ get pregnant, won’t everyone be suspicious…”
”If you say your previous husband was sterile or that it was very hard to have children, the kind-hearted Kent and the other concubines won’t be suspicious. Head Maid Annabella has had plenty of children with Kent, after all.”
The balance tilted heavily towards the transaction, and the fire of desire blazed fiercely.
”Is that so… I will carry Sir Kent’s child… For that, I have no choice.”
”We are accomplices. I won’t have to carry Kent’s child, and Head Maid Annabella can have the chance to do so. Isn’t this a meaningful transaction for both of us?”
Carly’s words made my balance tilt more and more towards the transaction.
”…I understand. I will hide the two poisons in the records.”
The balance had completely tipped.
I had gone along with Carly’s transaction for my own desires.
”The transaction is settled. Now, this pregnancy potion belongs to Head Maid Annabella.”
Carly handed over the pregnancy potion.
My hand shook as I received it, and I fumbled a bit.
”Let’s each dispose of the vials ourselves. If we get caught, we will share the same fate, Head Maid Annabella.”
For a moment, I thought I had made an irreversible transaction for my desires, but the joy of getting the potion that would make my dream come true was greater.
”Carly, please be careful… This is our secret. Sir Kent hates contraception, so if it gets out, there will be a public auction.”
”Ah, I understand.”
After finishing the transaction, Carly quickly left the room and headed to the Hunter Guild to dispose of the poison.
I returned to my room, leaving the dinner preparations to Feria and the others, and began to manipulate the records.
And then, the night was over.
I couldn’t sleep at all because I was excited to get the medicine.
I had finished handling the accounts.
I don’t think they will find out about this.
So, I opened the bottle of medicine in front of me and drank it all.
A bitter taste grew in my mouth.
Soon, a throbbing sensation from my lower abdomen started getting stronger.
With this, I had a body that could become pregnant just once.
I burned the label of the medicine bottle in the fireplace and crushed the bottle into powder, mixing it with the ashes in the fireplace.
This way, when I clean up before leaving, I can throw the ashes out of the mansion.
Since I would soon leave this mansion, I thought there was no way I would be found.
After finishing my hiding work, it was time to wake up Sir Kent.
As I usually get pulled into bed to be bred, today I decided to take my time and be bred more carefully, so I left my room.
