Chapter 42 The Golden Mountain of Fallen Knights and the Orcs’ Feast of Lust
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
(Bald Mountain River, Lindworm Territory)
My name is Fafnir Gunitahayes. By the orders of the Senate (those old pests), I’ve been forced to occupy the very homeland of Yulize-sama, a person I cherish and adore with all my heart.
It pains me, but if I were to disobey the Senate—no, to disobey Chairman Luva—my entire clan’s heads would be grotesquely mounted upon the city gates of the Albion Imperial Capital by tomorrow.
One single act of defiance against the Senate (Chairman Luva), and I would no longer have a place in this country (Albion Imperial Capital).
Chairman Luva holds such absolute power; she has reigned as the top authority of the Albion Imperial Capital for nearly a thousand years now, reaching into the modern day.
”Just when I thought we’d reached an end to the years of war with the Demonkin in ‘Shubelt,’ now it’s the Regain Kingdom… She must truly crave fresh bait to eat.”
Yes, the Albion Imperial Capital wages war on countries other than Lux and the Edo Lands because the Senate constantly demands fresh bait.
War provides the fresh corpses (the bait) of the enemy soldiers.
For the past few years, it’s been nothing but back and forth between ‘Shubelt’ and the Albion Imperial Capital.
Even though my own clan is held hostage, living a life as the Senate’s puppet is truly the worst kind of existence.
”I wonder how my utterly darling Yulize-sama has grown?… I want to see her. She’s my only source of comfort while having to deal with the Senate. How many times have I suppressed my excitement when thinking of the absolute territory of her Dragon Maiden outfit? But why hasn’t the advance party arrived to meet me? Is my own dragon pressure keeping them from getting close, perhaps?”
I’m allowed to operate completely solo by the Senate. Because of that, I was supposed to link up with the Nova army after a slight delay.
”Isn’t it too quiet? This is the lawless Lindworm Territory. Sending an army here should have instantly sparked a civil war with the monsters and the natives.”
…Something’s wrong. What’s going on? The tens of thousands of Nova soldiers—the proud army of the Albion Empire sent from the Coatl Floating Island military to occupy the Lindworm Territory two days ago—they are nowhere to be found.
I cautiously move forward through the dim, shadowy river valley.
”…There are signs of combat everywhere, yet not a single soldier remains. And not only that, neither the monsters nor the Lindworm natives are here? What does this mean?”
I advance, mystified, moving forward with utmost caution.
That was the moment. Suddenly, my vision opened up, and I arrived at the wide Navia Plains… and several astonishing sights greeted me all at once.
* * *
At one corner of the Navia Plains lay a mountain of gold, piled high.
It was the golden armor of the Nova Legion, the strongest military force our nation (Albion Imperial Capital) boasts.
And seated atop that mountain of golden armor were two figures.
”Who are those? A very, very cute Human child and… a HobGōbuLin I encountered a few times on the ‘Shubelt’ battlefield. Are they having a conversation?… And two people are tied up with ropes. Are those the Nova Vice-Generals? Why aren’t they wearing armor?”
For a second, I wanted to rush in and help. But I decided to watch them for a while, to assess this utterly bizarre situation.
”GōbuGōbu?!”
”Huh? Why don’t I just wipe them out all at once with large-scale teleportation magic, you ask? No, no, no. If I used large-scale magic like that in an enemy country, they’d realize we were here, wouldn’t they? Besides, fighting strong folks head-on just won’t do, Gōbu-kun. We have to quietly and surely take them out one by one before they notice us, like I just did…”
(Okay, Solo, Twins, Twins, Solo-Solo-Solo-Solo, Twins, Twins… Ah! But I’ll take all the valuables and the armor to sell off to the black market, so thanks! Yep, Solo-Solo-Solo, Twins-Twins, Solo-Solo-Solo-Solo—!!! Everyone, have fun heading off to your heaven-on-earth (Hell)!)
”Gōbu…”
”Huh? I wouldn’t be going through all this trouble if I could do that. I’m a warrior, you know. Best friends, you say? No, no, no. It looks so much cooler and smarter if I do this while working from the shadows. Just like how I assigned those super-elite Dragonkin boys to the incredibly firm and perky female orc girls.”
”Gōbuuuh! Gōbu-bubu!! Gōbu-fuh!!
”Huh? The female orcs are seriously bad news, you say? That those girls are a horde of genuine sexual monsters? Come on, Gōbu-kun! You really are a master of jokes.”
”GōbuGōbuuuh!!
”…Huh? What’s with that look of genuine, terrified horror, Gōbu-kun? Are you really saying it’s bad?… No way, right?… Okay, I’m getting a little scared myself, so I’m gonna go check on those soldiers.”
”G-Gōbu!
”U-un. Why didn’t you tell me sooner?! Good grief, how scared are you, Gōbu-kun?… Ahaha. Hollow said that all the female orcs in the Scarlet Territory were famous for being kind and refined! So I’m sure it’ll be fine… Twin Teleportation.”
* * *
(Female Orc Settlement – Forbidden Zone)
”Help meee!! I’m being eaten by monsters!”
”Oh, really? We’re perky teenagers, you knowwww! And the kind of eating is a little dif-fer-ent! ♡”
”Gyaaaaah!! Stop, stop thissss!!”
”Just let me feast on you, my Darlin’s! ♡ You’re our full-course pork dinner!”
”I don’t want that full course! Somebody help… Gyaaaaaah!!”
”It’s okay, sweets! We female orcs take good care of boys from other races… You’re a fated person we rarely ever meet, after all.”
…A living hellscape was unfolding there. I’m sorry, Gōbu-kun. Everything you said was right.
”Um, I-I’m Marseille. What should we do now? We’re female soldiers, so what’s going to happen to us?”
”Oh, my? There are girl soldiers too? Did you accidentally wander in? Don’t worry, darling. We only need the boys, you see.”
”Gyaaaah!! Marseille, save us!!”
”W-well… if we return to our home country (Albion Imperial Capital), we’ll be executed for desertion, you know.”
”Hmm? I see. Well, then heading to the Seyfried Territory would probably be the safest bet for you. If you stay here (Scarlet Territory), you’ll either get kidnapped or end up as a mercenary, and you’ll die eventually.”
”I-is that so?… Then are we going to die…”
”Hey there, cute Dragonkin big sisters! Why don’t you come to my place (Shin Seyfried)? We’re always short-handed, so please come on over!”
I called out to the distraught female soldiers of the Albion Imperial Capital.
”Huh? A cute girl?”
”Oh, my! Shin-chan. It’s been a while, hasn’t it? ♡ Perfect timing. Marseille-chan. This girl is an associate of Seyfried’s. Shin-chan, could you take care of these girls for us?”
Huh? Why am I being identified as a girl by these ferocious female orcs?… Well, whatever. It must mean I look cute and appealing, right?
”…This girl? From the Seyfried Territory? From the impregnable Seyfried?”
Huh? Are they wary of me? That makes me a little sad. If that’s the case, I’ll just have to use the charm offensive I always use on the older sisters!
”U-um, I promise I’ll make you big sisters happy, so won’t you come with me?”
Kya-ru-roon!
BAM!
”Hawaaaah! ♡ Y-yes. We’ll go. We’ll follow you, my dear.”
”Tch-unk! ♡ Hau! We’re doomed to die if we go back to the home country (Albion Empire) anyway, so please take care of us!”
…I’ve been practicing Charm Magic recently to resist the Night Alice curse, and it’s pretty amazing.
I managed to talk them into it with a single shot. Almost all the female soldiers from the Albion Empire have hearts floating in their eyes now.
”Uh-huh! Good thing you girls from the Albion Imperial Capital found your next workplace. Well, then, we’re gonna hustle with the boys who are left! Hustle! Hustle!”
”Hustle!! Hustle!”
A true hellscape was unfolding there. So there really are hellscapes that make people uncomfortable just by looking at them.
”Help meee!” “I’m drying up…” “I don’t want my first time to be like this! Mommyyy!”
Goodbye, elite boys of the Albion Imperial Capital. Once everything is done, my acquaintances in the black market (brokers) will come to collect all of you.
Try to survive until then. Good luck… This isn’t my fault, right? Yeah. No, it’s absolutely not my fault, is it?
”Well, I’ll teleport you to a safe location now. Full Metastasis.”
I protected all of the cute female soldiers of the Albion Imperial Capital and took them to a hideout in the Seyfried Territory.
”Gyaaaaah!!” “Noooo!” “I’m a noble, proud Dragonkin!!”
”Don’t you dare struggle, sweetie! ♡ Or I’ll break your bones! ♡” “Crack-crack!” “Let’s go crazy togetherrr! ♡”
Was the sound of tens of thousands of death cries right after the teleportation just a phantom sound or something?
* * *
(Back in Navia Plains)
My name is Fafnir. Currently, I’m hiding in the shadows of the trees… That very, very cute child hasn’t returned. Should I rescue the two people tied up?
”Gōbu Captain. That new candidate for the Shubelt ruler, he was amazing, wasn’t he? I was totally blown away.”
”GōbuGōbu… GōbuGōbuGōbuGōbu!!”
”Huh? That he’s always been amazing, ever since you guys were best friends? Is that what you mean?… So you want to train and get stronger so you can stand next to him and support him? Gōbu Captain, you’re really a great GōbuLin. I’ll follow you for life.”
It only sounds like “GōbuGōbu” to me… Can that short phrase really hold that much meaning?
”But what should we do now, Gōbu Captain? Even if it’s just on the surface, the war with the Albion Imperial Capital is banned, and we have a break from expeditions, right? Should we return to the Demon King’s Castle and focus on stabilizing our territory for a while?”
”GōbuGōbu… Go!”
”So, we’re going to train the different Captains for a while. Well, the Albion Empire definitely seems ready to betray us at any moment! Preparation is necessary, I suppose. And we need to hurry up and open that underground train line too.”
”GōbunGōbunGōbu!”
”Head north and train in the icy regions? Then I’ll have a few of the new Demon King’s elite accompany you. Of course, I’ll come too… Let’s get stronger together, Gōbu Captain.”
”Gōbu-buh //// Gōbu“
Hmmm. It still only sounds like “GōbuGōbu” to me…
”Hey, hey, what’s wronggg? That’s weird! I thought I hunted down everyone and sent them off to the orc’s den of debauchery!… Big sister. Why are you hiding in the shadows of the trees, spying on Gōbu-kun and them?”
”What?! When did he…?! He closed the distance… Kuh! Dragon Poison Slash (Drago Paralysis)!”
”You’re one beat too slow, you know. Sacred Artifact (general term for powerful items) Black Shine Sheep ‘Skyscraper’.”
A powerful attack, loaded with status effects, flew towards me from the beautiful, armored older sister.
But I, Shin Seyfried, easily swallowed it with my dedicated Sacred Artifact (general term for powerful items), the Black Shine Sheep.
’Baaaaah…‘
”What? What is that cute, yet ominous monster?”
”It’s the Sacred Artifact (general term for powerful items) of shadow, ash, and darkness. …… Well, let’s get started, shall we? You’re the hidden ace of the Albion Empire, Fafnir Gunitahayes-san. If I manage to conquer you, I’ll be taking your panties.”

Summary:
The chapter opens with Fafnir Gunitahayes, a Dragonkin elite torn between her love for Yulize and her coerced loyalty to the corrupt Albion Imperial Capital Senate. Her investigation into the missing Nova Legion uncovers a terrifying scene in the Navia Plains: a mountain of golden armor, symbolizing the utter defeat of the Empire’s might. The mischievous and unsettlingly powerful Shin Seyfried and his companion Gobu are responsible, having casually eliminated the army by teleporting the elite male Dragonkin soldiers to a settlement of highly dangerous, predatory female orcs. This is a dark comedy plot point emphasizing the world’s cruelty. Shin then uses his potent Charm Magic to recruit the terrified, but pragmatic, female Albion soldiers, saving them from execution.
The chapter culminates in a sudden, tense confrontation: Shin reveals he was waiting for Fafnir, effortlessly nullifies her Dragon Poison Slash with his powerful Sacred Artifact, the Black Shine Sheep ‘Skyscraper,’ and issues a flirtatious, yet ominous, challenge, setting the stage for their deadly game.

T/L:
¹ [monsterology] For the readers, Monsterology by Dr. Jekyll Monde is a famous in-world book. The author’s name itself is a subtle nod to classic literature, hinting at the split nature of the world’s creatures. The female orcs are a huge deal in this world—like, seriously, one of the most terrifying things a dude can run into. The writer wanted to make sure you got just how bad a fate those Nova soldiers are facing. ↩

• Albion Empire – A nation to the east of Regain where dragonkind is revered as divine. It is currently locked in ‘bloody, territorial chaos’ with the new Demon King’s forces in Schwert.
• Mars – The stern General Affairs Officer of the Student Council who maintains discipline, corrects the president’s informal speech, and manages administrative duties.
• Night Alice – Hidden Gimmick Monster/Boss of the Maidens x Cross-dressing RPG, one of the founders of Alys Magic Academy. Hijacked the Mirror World (Wonderland) and ruled as the Student Council President. Her initial forms included Slaughter Doll and Alice Slaughter (centipede/alien).
