Chapter 76 The Villainous Heir’s Dark Justice and the Fall of a False Messenger
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
An ‘heretic child’? What’s that even supposed to mean? Don’t bore me with nonsense like that, seriously. You dared to kidnap Lala-chan… you’re gonna pay for that crime, and I mean fully pay for it.
[You failed us, you wretched mistake who broke our command… I can’t believe you’re actually fighting back. All you had to do was bring down the Regain Kingdom! Why, why, why, why are you getting in my way? Don’t steal the glory that is rightfully mine, I beg of you! I am the Nightmare of the Fallen!], Datten shrieked with manic self-importance.
Something that looked like a black veil began to cover the whole area. I could see the faces of many tortured people reflected inside that dark shroud. Was this some kind of concentrated vengeance from everyone the Fallen Messenger had killed?
[Kih! Heheheh! How lovely, don’t you think? These are the people I’ve offered up! They were the weak fools I mercilessly slaughtered for the descent of the CeraFim… so that I might become the one and only true messenger of heaven!], Datten bellowed, sounding absolutely ecstatic.
The Fallen Messenger sounded so sickeningly happy when they yelled that… Honestly, I was starting to get really annoyed now.
”I’ve only got less than a minute left in this form… My excitement’s gone anyway. Guess I’ll wrap this up, then… Dark Magic: Abyss Hunt.”
First, I needed to completely take control of this underground altar, this dimension-that-shouldn’t-be, and close it off from the world.
[?! What is this vile, ominous energy? My CeraFim altar… it’s shrinking?], Datten gasped, horrified.
”Exactly. This spot never existed in Maidens x Cross-dressing to begin with. If it’s just a small pocket dimension that you made, Fallen Messenger, destroying it shouldn’t cause any real problems, right? So just vanish. For the future peace of the Lax Empire.”
[I don’t understand anything you’re saying! And you can’t possibly defeat me. I carry the power of the CeraFim within me—I am the very pinnacle of power in all of Alysphia! I am the King of the Black Holy City!], Datten shrieked, doubling down on her delusion.
OOOOHHHHRRROOOAARRR!
Disgusting, grey-colored creatures poured from the Fallen Messenger’s mouth, surging forward to attack me.
”Such a boring attack… whatever. I’m seriously tired of fighting you. I’ll end this with one strike. False light in the Country of the White Night, though I am evil, I will not allow this. I am the eternal darkness, and therefore I shall bring down heavenly judgment upon this false light, and bring true illumination to this tragic land────Eternal Darkness Magic: Li-Dark.”
The Fallen Messenger’s false, two-sided grey. Preaching beautiful lies on the outside, but murdering people in secret, a muddy mix of white and black… If that’s what’s been corrupting the Lax Empire, then I’ll remove it completely.
”Sink into the true Eternal Darkness, you heinous Fallen Angel. Death Reincarnation.”
[What is this?! …Am I being erased from this world? …No, my very existence is being cast out somewhere… my reason for being in this world is denied… I can’t even hold onto myself anymore? You… you failure!! How dare you… how dare you treat me, the Fallen Messenger… like this… ooooohhhh!!!] A deep, sickening rumble filled the air, followed by a sudden, sharp vanishing sound.
”Whew, exactly one minute. I just popped over to the Lax Empire to save Lala-chan, and I didn’t think I’d end up taking out the final boss—the one Alexia was supposed to defeat. I blame that conniving Fenrir¹ girl for this… But wow, he was really weak, wasn’t he? Right now, the Holy Capital of the Lax Empire could probably be taken over by just Fenrir, Yulize-chan, and me. Anyway, I’ll leave the aftermath of the Lax Empire to those who are left and take my leave. Goodbye, Lax Empire… Solo Teleportation.”

(Near the Vajra Forest, Regain Kingdom)
”…It can’t be. His Holiness Cera… perished? Impossible.”
”Hahh, hahh, hahh… after days of fighting, it’s finally stopped, hasn’t it, Sid?” Schuna murmured, exhausted.
”Judging by that reaction… Pope Cera seems to have been defeated. By Shin,” Sid analyzed calmly.
”Seems like it… What do we do now, Elder Sister Schuna?”
”…Right. For now… let’s return to the shadow of that child.”
—
(Above the Holy Capital of the Lax Empire, Eushuria Temple)
”This is the place where Lala-nyan grew up, meow?”
”Yes… It’s a precious place where I lived with my Mother. It’s a holy sanctuary where no one but those connected to Eushuria are allowed to enter. This is where the Ritual of Descent is supposed to be held to call forth the Messenger of Heaven.”
”…And because that flashy old hag did it underground, she turned into a monster, meow?”
”That’s right… That whole thing was an act of blasphemy against the Messenger of Heaven itself…”
(That’s why I purified her perfectly for you, Lala-chan.)
…The air RUMBLED once more!

Summary:
In a climactic confrontation, the villainous heir Shin grew weary of the false Fallen Messenger (Datten) and her theatrical display of corrupted power. Leveraging his potent Dark Magic—including the spatial control of Abyss Hunt and the dimensional expulsion of Death Reincarnation—Shin destroyed the antagonist’s sanctuary and erased her from existence, all to complete his rescue mission for Lala-chan. The sheer finality of the act shocked observers in the distant Regain Kingdom, who realized the Holy Capital’s most powerful figure had been secretly defeated by the young heir.
—
Character Insight:
Shin is revealed to be far more powerful and cynical than his role as the villainous heir suggests, capable of taking out an RPG final boss with bored efficiency. His protective drive for Lala-chan outweighs his intended villain role, showcasing a complex moral compass. He views the immense power of the Holy Capital as trivial and is eager to escape responsibility, displaying a core desire for freedom from the game’s plot. His Dark Magic is less about destruction and more about fundamental negation of corrupted, ‘false’ powers.
—
Behind the Scene:
This scene is the climax of the Lala-chan rescue arc, establishing Shin’s overwhelming magical power (especially his unique Dark Magic abilities) compared to the game’s actual hero, Alexia. It also sets up the political vacuum in the Lax Empire, showing that the central power structure has been toppled easily by Shin’s intervention. His casual dismissal of the massive victory reinforces his character as someone who rejects the ‘hero’ narrative.
Notes:
• Lala – Delusional saint candidate from the Lax Empire who becomes fanatically devoted to Shin, founding a religion in his name and often speaking with the quirky suffix ‘~desuwa’
• Datten – powerful antagonist, a ‘failure’ in the eyes of her masters, who attempted to usurp the true divine power by summoning a corrupted CeraFim. Her appearance is obscured by a veil of suffering souls. She believes she is the true messenger and possesses corrupted divine power. She kidnapped Lala-chan to complete her ritual. Her emotional state shifts from triumph to absolute despair.
• Fim – The Pope Cera’s chief aide and the de facto second-most powerful man in the Lax Empire. Yellowish hair. He is a self-important, theatrical man with a perverted obsession with the young hero, Shin. He wears expensive suits, which are quickly destroyed when he transforms. His loyalty is twisted and ultimately self-serving, seeing the Empire as his personal playground.
• Right – An upperclassman frustrated with ten-year-old Alexia’s presidency who initially supported Lilith (‘Lili-tan’) for the role. He represents the ‘cute girl fetish’ faction, rips up the magic paper in anger, and engages in heated debates with Left about the academy’s bizarre political landscape and student obsessions.
