Charles closed his eyes, feeling Satsuki’s warmth. He was tired from their intense time together, but with his eyes shut, many thoughts crossed his mind. It wasn’t fear or anxiety, but more like wondering if he should do this or that.
”…Do you think there will be a war, my lord?”
Satsuki must have sensed something in Charles. She asked him this while in his arms. Sometimes she could be a bit rigid, but in moments like this, she really showed how caring she was.
”I wonder…”
Charles gently stroked Satsuki’s head as he quietly replied.
”The enemy probably has that intention. If that’s the case, we have no choice but to fight. We are not weaklings who must bow down without a fight.”
If they wanted to talk, they could have done so peacefully when the enemy learned about Babellion.
But instead, the enemy chose to attack Goldgang. This clearly showed they wanted war. No matter the outcome, the fact that they chose a surprise attack among many options couldn’t be changed.
”This Satsuki will do anything for you, my lord. I will cut down a thousand or ten thousand if needed.”
”Haha, you’re a reliable one.”
Charles laughed out loud at Satsuki’s enthusiasm.
”Then let’s do this. You will serve the enemy king with your body. Win his heart and persuade him not to oppose Babellion.”
”W-wait, what?!”
”…Haha, I’m just joking. You belong only to me. No one else will touch you.”
”If that’s the case, then if anyone else tries to touch my body, I will cut my own stomach.”
”You’re a funny one.”
With that, Charles turned over and hugged Satsuki tightly. Her body was soft and slender, but it held incredible strength. He could feel how dependable she was just by holding her.
”…My lord.”
Satsuki wrapped her arms around his back.
”This Satsuki will always be by your side.”
”Yeah.”
Charles closed his eyes, burying his face in Satsuki’s chest. Feeling her heartbeat and warmth, he sensed a feeling of happiness spreading throughout him.
The “Beastars” went to Carnad Mountain for a hunt. They didn’t know if the enemy was there, but if they were, there would definitely be some kind of battle.
They were elite soldiers. If they had enough numbers and the right tactics, they could handle level 200 opponents. But if there were 2 or 3 level 200 enemies… it was hard to imagine, but if that happened, it would be too much for just Melissa to handle.
Looking back, he felt a bit regretful that he could have called in multiple level 200s.
Charles was still thinking like a gamer, not considering moving multiple level 200s at once. Plus, his subordinates, including the left Minister of the Right, usually overestimated their own abilities, so it was hard for them to suggest they might be lacking in strength.

”Messenger!! Messenger!! Urgent message for Your Majesty!!”
Satsuki was the first to jump up. She said, “Excuse me!” as she pushed Charles’s arm away, leaping out of bed and grabbing her nightgown. She quickly picked up the Tachi (long sword) from her bedside and rushed to the bedroom door.
”State your name and business.”
”Yes, ma’am! I am Ponchio from the ‘Beastars.’ I have come with an urgent message from Carnad Mountain!!”
Satsuki’s response to the inquiry was the most important information for Charles, and for Babellion as well.
”Speak!!”
Satsuki heard Charles shout from the bed and opened the bedroom door. On the other side of the door, a wolf beastman was kneeling between 2 guards from the Imperial Army, raising his voice.
”At the Carnad Mountains, the ‘Beastars’ are fighting against enemy forces!! The enemy is Bozero Delica!! And the enemy is──.”
”Wait… Is Bozero Delica that vampire who swings a sword around during the day? Esmeralda’s sister?”
Charles interrupted the messenger because the news was too shocking.
”Yes, sir. The former Sleepless City member Bozero Delica fought with Melissa-sama, and there were casualties among the ‘Beastars.’ However, they claim they were also lured to the Carnad Mountains, and right now, the group that attacked Goldgang-sama is still unknown and hasn’t been found!!”
”I don’t get it. So you’re saying that ‘Ruined Castle Grantham’ and that Fluffy Cream guy are in this world?”
”Ruined Castle Grantham has already been destroyed, and Fluffy Cream-sama has been defeated. It seems Bozero Delica and the former ‘Night Bats’ group are currently hiding in Fuckland.”
”Fluffy Cream got defeated…”
So much information was coming in that it was confusing. Fluffy Cream being defeated, the enemy still being unknown, and now Fuckland and Crimson Jack being a third force in all of this. It was all too much to understand.
But one thing was clear: this was not a conversation to have while lying n*ked in bed.
”Messenger. Call the Left Minister of the Right for the rest of this. Wait for me in my office first.”
