Volume 11 Chapter 31 Party Invitation and Mai’s Consultation
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
* Daisuke accepted Gabriela’s invitation for a trial run and ended up being recognized as her “darling.”
* Rutger: A demonkin. Hates vegetables.
* Ursula: A dragonewt. Loves meat, though not quite as much as Liese.
* Mai: A female Transferee and former sports instructor. Extremely well-endowed.

Gabriela shared a house with Ottilie and Maaya.
Which meant the two of them already knew Daisuke had slept with her.
She had invited him while they were present, and they had also seen him leave her room afterward. There was little point in trying to hide it.
Even so, Daisuke had a bad feeling that if he left the matter alone, more women like Gabriela would start appearing.
So he had firmly warned her to keep quiet.
“If you tell anyone, this arrangement is over.”
That should be enough. Probably.
If anyone asked, hopefully she would simply reply:
“I cannot say.”
Gabriela had also asked to move in with him, but he had postponed the discussion because there was not enough space.
He had not even lived in the house for half a year, yet he was already considering either expanding it or moving somewhere larger.
For now, he would obtain an estimate for an extension and think about it later.
* * *
Several Days Later
A few days passed after Daisuke shifted his public hunting grounds to the Eighteenth Floor and his actual hunting grounds to the Eleventh Floor.
Life had been peaceful.
Karkinos—the giant crab monsters—sold exceptionally well because every part of them had value.
The Puppy Rock Dragons, stone-scaled sub-dragons, were profitable as well.
He still had concerns about housing, but money was not an immediate issue. As a result, he continued selling monsters at a relaxed pace while enjoying his daily routine.
The end of the year was approaching.
In his previous world, it would have been the season for couples.
Christmas celebrations for a religion he did not even follow.
Illuminated city streets.
And what had he done during that season?
Best not to ask.
The memory was embarrassing.
Painfully embarrassing.
He had remained a virgin throughout his entire life.
A thoroughly unpopular man.
Fortunately, this world did not have those holidays.
He would likely spend the season quietly with his lovers.
The New Year, however, already came with plans.
Busy in a good way.
A pleasant problem to have.
”Daisuke. I have business with you.”
”…Come.”
”Huh?”
Daisuke snapped out of his thoughts when an unexpected pair addressed him.
Rutger and Ursula of the A-Rank party ‘Five Saints’.
Rutger, known as the Flame Sword, was a pale-skinned demonkin.
Ursula, known as the Great Shield, was a dragonewt whose horn had long since been broken.
Aside from exchanging a few words after his duel with Thomas, he had little connection to either of them.
His first instinct was to decline.
However, they were senior adventurers and not people he could casually dismiss.
So he followed them.
The pair led him to a private room inside the guild.
Perhaps they needed advice.
Whatever the reason, he resolved to remain polite.
”So, what did you want to discuss?”
”Hm. You have been operating solo on the Eighteenth Floor, have you not?”
”That is correct.”
”…Rutger’s wording can be harsh. Please do not take offense.”
”How rude.”
Apparently, they were already aware of his publicly reported progress.
Not that he had made any effort to conceal it.
Ursula was likely apologizing for Rutger’s habit of speaking in a commanding manner.
Daisuke chose not to dwell on it.
”Now then,” Rutger continued, clearing his throat. “Like many Transferees, you seem to be growing at an extraordinary rate.”
”…Very fast.”
”Thank you.”
”In that case, we shall bestow a reward upon you.”
”A reward?”
”The honor of accompanying us on our dungeon expeditions.”
”…He is inviting you to explore the dungeon with us.”
Thanks to Ursula’s translation, Daisuke finally understood.
It was an invitation.
A recruitment offer.
And, surprisingly, the two worked remarkably well together.
Rutger delivered dramatic declarations while Ursula translated them into ordinary language.
The dynamic was strangely entertaining.
”Fortunately,” Rutger said, “our missing members should arrive before long.”
”…We would like to push deeper and familiarize ourselves with the lower floors before they return.”
”Please give me a moment to consider it.”
Refusing would have been easy.
But this was a rare opportunity.
He carefully weighed the advantages and disadvantages.
* * *
Accompanying the famous Five Saints—even temporarily—would strengthen his record.
Since they had approached him first, it would improve his reputation even further.
That could prove valuable when pursuing promotion to A-Rank.
His guild receptionist, Diet, would likely benefit from the achievement as well.
Then there was Ursula.
Building a friendship with her might reveal information about Class Changes.
She had originally been a Shield Fighter before becoming a Shield Saint.
The guild’s records confirmed it.
Perhaps she possessed clues regarding the removal of Liese’s troublesome title, Contradictory Twin Dragons.
As for Rutger…
No particular advantage came to mind.
Though observing an experienced magic swordsman might prove educational.
The deeper floors would also provide better income.
Not that he particularly needed it.
Still, it was a benefit.
* * *
The greatest concern was exposure.
His status would remain concealed, and he intended to stay cautious.
Nevertheless, prolonged close-range cooperation always carried risks.
Even if his secrets were discovered, the consequences would not be catastrophic.
The resulting attention, however, would be troublesome.
The second issue was fame.
He had invested considerable effort into avoiding attention because attention tended to attract problems.
Especially nobles and religious organizations.
Neither appealed to him.
Fortunately, Princess Rosemarie’s support discouraged most troublesome aristocrats.
Martina might provide some protection as well, thanks to Vera’s frequent visits and offerings.
Religious groups were harder to predict.
No churches had approached him yet.
Perhaps the Hero Party attracted all of their interest.
Or perhaps they simply ignored Transferees who were not Heroes.
As for Rutger himself…
The man’s personality seemed exhausting.
At least Ursula helped balance things out.
After carefully considering every factor—
A process that lasted only seconds thanks to High-Speed Thinking—
Daisuke reached a conclusion.
”Thank you for the invitation. I would be honored to join you.”
”Hm. Excellent.”
”…Unexpected.”
The deciding factor was Ursula’s information.
There was no substitute for it.
Any inconvenience was acceptable if it helped Liese.
Rutger appeared pleased.
Ursula looked genuinely surprised.
Odd, considering she had helped extend the invitation.
”…I expected you to refuse because it sounded troublesome.”
”Calling our company troublesome is rather rude. Many seek the honor of accompanying me.”
”…Your personality is troublesome.”
”How rude!”
The routine began again.
Eventually, Daisuke calmed Rutger and guided the discussion back toward practical matters.
”So how long are we talking about? And which floor?”
”At most, six months.”
”We shall evaluate your abilities on the Eighteenth Floor first.”
”…But we would like to reach the Twenty-First Floor and beyond.”
Six months was longer than he preferred.
His leveling efficiency would suffer considerably.
He might need additional dungeon runs afterward.
He also learned that he would not officially join Five Saints.
Instead, he would participate as an external collaborator.
Apparently, only holders of Saint-type classes qualified as formal members.
Daisuke did not particularly care.
With everything settled, they agreed to begin exploring together the following day.
He needed to get closer to Ursula as quickly as possible.
Perhaps he would start by offering her meat.
That approach had worked remarkably well on Liese.
* * *
On his way home, Daisuke encountered Mai, the Transferee who held the War Saint class.
As a close-combat specialist, she trained constantly.
Living in a world where nobody stared at her for exercising had gradually made her more muscular.
Even so, she still appeared slender compared to Gerta.
Even Vanessa possessed a sturdier build.
”Hey. You’re alone? That’s unusual.”
”Oh, Daisuke! I was just taking care of a personal errand.”
Mai answered with her usual bright smile.
”Actually, your timing is perfect. There is something I would like to ask.”
”Sure. What is it?”
”I heard you met Regina at a brothel.”
”Yeah?”
”Would you happen to know of any establishments that employ male escorts?”
”…What?”
That was not the question Daisuke had expected.
Mai’s expression had become completely serious.
”Why are you asking?”
”My apologies. I realize it sounds sudden.”
She hesitated before continuing.
”To be honest… I have been struggling with pent-up frustration lately.”
Daisuke listened without teasing her.
Since arriving in this world, she had spent every day focused on survival.
Now that her life had stabilized, all the desires she had ignored were beginning to catch up with her.
Getting involved with random men carried obvious risks.
A professional escort seemed safer and more controlled.
The logic was understandable.
After all, Daisuke had visited brothels himself.
Still…
He could not help wondering whether she was indirectly approaching him.
”Putting the brothel question aside for a moment… have you discussed this with Yumiko?”
”No. It is too embarrassing.”
”And somehow talking to me is easier?”
”It just felt easier. There is no particular reason.”
Fair enough.
Yumiko filled a motherly role among the female Transferees.
Even so, some topics remained difficult to discuss.
Mai clearly was not flirting.
She barely seemed to view Daisuke that way.
Even if he invited her, the odds would probably be no better than fifty-fifty.
A shame.
Still, he decided not to press the issue.
”As for male escort establishments, I honestly do not know any.”
”I see…”
”But veteran adventurers probably do. You know Gerta and Vanessa, right?”
”Oh! That is true!”
”Not that I am one to talk, but those places can be risky. If you are serious, ask people with actual experience first.”
”A wise suggestion.”
Mai was a high B-Rank adventurer approaching A-Rank.
Ordinary criminals posed little threat.
Still, paralysis abilities, sleep magic, and similar tricks existed.
Being cautious never hurt.
Gerta and Mai had fought together during the martial arts tournament exhibition match.
Mai also knew Vanessa.
Both women possessed strong libidos and undoubtedly had their own methods of coping before meeting Daisuke.
Vanessa had even visited a host club before.
”Actually, Rei might be easier to talk to.”
”Oh! You are right! She would be perfect!”
”Happy to help.”
”Thank you! I will ask her!”
The issue remained unresolved.
But at least Mai now knew whom to consult.
Her mood visibly improved as she headed home.
Rei had apparently struggled with similar frustrations in the past.
She was responsible, dependable, and unlikely to mock her.
If Mai asked sincerely, Rei would almost certainly answer sincerely.
What she chose to do afterward remained to be seen.
If she approached him herself…
Well.
He certainly would not complain.

## Bonus Commentary
”Mai’s chest is huge, isn’t it?” Gabriela said. “I am not exactly small, but I am a little jealous.”
”That was surprisingly direct,” Meta Tsedes replied. “You did not have to put it quite so bluntly.”
”Nevertheless,” the Narrator said, “it is objectively true.”
”So then,” Meta asked, “does that make Mai a future love-interest candidate?”
”Naturally. She is beautiful, busty, kind-hearted, and exactly Daisuke’s type.”
”Then explain why he has not shown any interest in Mercedes! She is beautiful, has a wonderful figure, and a great personality!”
”Hmm…” Gabriela tilted her head. “Mecchi feels different somehow.”
”What does that even mean?! And wait—’Mecchi’? Are you talking about me?!”
”Yep! Meta-chi became Metachi, then Mecchi.”
”That explains absolutely nothing!”
”She is the comedy-relief character,” the Narrator declared. “Obviously.”
”I am the refined and elegant character!”
”Wow,” Gabriela said with a laugh. “She is loud.”
”You know,” the Narrator concluded, “characters who call themselves ‘refined and elegant’ rarely are.”
”THAT IS NOT TRUE!”

Summary:
Daisuke agrees to join the Five Saints party for a six-month duration to gain intelligence. While heading home, he encounters Mai, who asks for advice regarding male brothels to manage her physical frustrations. He directs her to consult veteran female adventurers for safer options before she leaves, satisfied with the guidance. The status of his party involvement and social navigation remains in flux.
—
Trivia:
Daisuke was previously hesitant to join the Five Saints due to Rutger’s personality.
Ursula acts as a essential bridge and translator for Rutger’s abrasive social style.
The recruitment is an informal, non-party-member cooperation due to Daisuke not having a ‘Saint’ class.
Mai’s training has noticeably increased her muscle mass compared to her earlier days in this world.
Daisuke maintains boundaries by not directly facilitating a sexual encounter despite Mai’s curiosity.
