Volume 1 Chapter 20 The Final Day of Training
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
It was the sixth day. Last night, my partner had been Sylvie-san¹. She looked like a refined and lovely young girl, yet she possessed a staggering s*x appeal that radiated an almost mature composure. Despite her delicate frame, her p**sy was incredibly tight; she was slick and dripping wet, yet she clamped down on me with such a ferocious, rhythmic squeeze during the cowgirl position that I was milked dry in no time. Of course, a man’s pride wouldn’t let it end there, so I launched a counter-offensive, putting her through a gauntlet of different positions. As I probed her depths, barely holding myself back through several close calls, I discovered her weakness: she couldn’t handle being pinned down in a “breeding press”² and lunged into as deep as possible.
By the time I finally made her climax, I had reached my absolute limit as well, and we went down together in a mutual explosion. The sight of that “refined” girl twitching and spasming in the throes of an ahegao-induced seizure, my seed thick and messy as it oozed from her cunt, was nothing short of criminal. (Wait, that was just a daydream.)
Today would be the final day of instruction from Mercedes, Ines-san, Juliet, and Sylvie-san. While they hadn’t taught us every single trick in the book, we now possessed more than enough skill to survive as baseline adventurers. I still had my doubts, but in this world, any normal person would have had to figure all of this out on their own. We’ll keep our safety margins wide, but from here on out, we’re fighting on our own.
If we can strike it rich with some dungeon loot, maybe I’ll retire early and live the slow life in the boonies. We started the day with the usual Goblin hunting. It was nothing new, but I treated it as a job and kept my head in the game. Our levels were climbing steadily; there was no reason to get impatient.
”Hey! If it isn’t Daisuke-kun! ☆ Staying healthy?” As we began our break in a safe zone, a high-energy voice called out to me. It was Rei, the “Magic-Clad”³ from the Working Women Party⁴-our fellow reincarnates.
I hadn’t seen them since day one, but it looked like their party had been grinding in the dungeon too. “I’m doing great, thanks. You all look like you’re in high spirits too.”
”You know it! Things are going pretty well. We’ve been leveling up like crazy! ♫”
I made some idle chitchat with the bubbly Rei-san. We had just started our break, so we had plenty of time to kill. Mercedes and Ines-san were over there talking with the other group’s guides-Adalgar-kun and a man who looked like the leader of their escort party. Since we were in a safe zone, they probably figured a little socializing wouldn’t hurt.
”I know I’m one to talk, but ‘Magic-Clad’ is a class I’ve never heard of. What’s the deal with it?”
”My base stats are totally mid-just high DEX and the rest is average. But my unique skill, ‘Rainbow Raiment’, lets my abilities shift based on what I’m wearing.”
”Huh? You mean like how equipment gives you attack and defense buffs?”
”Nah, think of it as ‘cosplay in the truest sense.’ If I put on a mage’s outfit, my stats recalibrate to match a mage of my level. And depending on my unique skill’s level, I can even use mage-specific skills. I can do warrior builds, too. Since I was a cosplayer in my old life, it’s basically my dream job~”
Wait, isn’t that totally broken? She can basically be any class she wants.
”That’s incredibly versatile. Can you even become a Hero?”
”Not really. I have to have a full, matching set of gear for the effect to proc, and I can’t exactly strip down and change in the middle of a field. Plus, my skill level isn’t high enough for rare classes like ‘Hero’ yet.”
Apparently, it has to be a custom-made cosplay outfit. That explained why her DEX was so high.
”I see, so there are catches. Still, it sounds like an all-rounder build to me. By the way, I noticed your escort party is a mix of guys and girls.”
”Ugh, tell me about it~ I saw a total hottie and was like, ‘Jackpot!’ but then…”
”But then?”
”He’s married! He’s hitched to one of the girls in the party, and honestly, that vibe is just impenetrable~ The other guy looks like he’s got potential, but he’s a bit too young for my taste~”
She was certainly proactive. Even in a society where polygamy was a thing, I guess having a Japanese background still made the hurdle feel high. For the record, their party of four consisted of the handsome married leader, Alberto, and his partner, Berta.
Then there was Berta’s best friend, Karina, and her younger brother, Dennis.
Alberto was a blue-haired beastman, and Berta was a bunny-girl beastman. That much was obvious. Karina was a human with a grounded, calm aura, while Dennis seemed like a rowdy teenager. Dennis was in his teens, while the rest were in their early-to-mid-twenties. The other members were chatting with Kenta-kun from my party.
They’d never met, but they seemed to be vibing. Meanwhile, the rest of my crew-Makoto, Takuya, and Kazuya-were huddled up together. From the snippets I caught and the way they were geeking out, it was definitely an otaku debate. (That’s exactly why you guys don’t have girlfriends.)
”Rei-san, please stop telling embarrassing stories to other parties.”
”Aya-chan, you’re way too serious~ You’re never gonna enjoy life like that! ☆” Aya, who looked like the straight-laced type, was an Alchemist. Normally that’s not an adventurer class, but she was probably grinding levels for the same reason as Makoto the Blacksmith. “Rei is a bit much, but Aya-chan, you really should loosen up. It’s a crying shame to let a face that pretty go to waste, you know?”
”I-I’m perfectly fine the way I am!”
”Good grief…”
The one smiling wryly at Aya’s reaction was Manami the Tamer. She had sharp, elegant eyes and an aura like a composed, mature woman, but her hands never stopped stroking the cat she was cradling. She apparently had other monsters tamed for combat; this cat was purely for cuddles. “Are you a cat person?”
”Oh, absolutely. In my old life, I was so allergic I couldn’t even be in the same room as one, but my constitution must have changed when I came here. Now I can finally pet cats that would never warm up to me… being a Tamer is truly my calling.”
She gave me a radiant, talkative response. She looked genuinely happy. “I’m totally loving my life here too~”
”Same here!” The soft-spoken one was Misaki the Priest, and the one who talked like a tomboy was Mai the War Saint. These two had “chest armor” just as thick as Ines-san’s. It seemed like hunting Goblins was a great way for them to blow off steam. They looked like black-haired beauties, but they were surprisingly tough. “You two seem like you’re having the time of your lives.”
”We really are~ I used to work in a nursing home back home and it was so stressful, but here I’m just having a blast with everyone~ I mean, nursing is a noble profession and it had its moments, don’t get me wrong~”
”I’ve always had a job that kept me on my feet, so this isn’t a grind at all. I was always interested in martial arts, but there’s no feeling in the world like crushing an enemy with your own two fists. I think this is my calling too!”
Misaki had a gentle, beaming smile and a soothing voice, and everything she said sounded perfectly normal-except for the fact that the mace she was holding was dripping with fresh blood. Basically, she was bludgeoning Goblins to death. I wondered just how much stress she’d bottled up in her past life. Terrifying.
Mai was a Vanguard, a front-line combat class our party lacked. Being the only pure Vanguard must have been a huge burden, but Mai seemed to be relishing the challenge. It was great to see how well they’d adapted to being adventurers in this world.
”But there is just one thing we’re struggling with~”
”Oh? What’s that?”
”We can’t find any damn makeup anywhere~”
”FOR REAL!”
”Whoa!?”
”A tiny little bottle of lotion costs a whole gold coin! That’s insane! Even SK-II wasn’t that expensive!”

”It’s a nightmare.”
”I can’t afford to buy any at those prices.”
”I mean, not being able to do even the bare minimum of skincare is just… ugh~”
”Even I can’t stand the thought of doing absolutely nothing for my skin.”
Every single woman there pounced on the topic. One gold coin was about 100,000 yen-definitely pricey, but in a world without mass production, it made sense. Cosmetics were a luxury item meant for nobles and the filthy rich. However, if I even thought about disagreeing with them, I’d probably be lynched. The sheer pressure coming off them was intense. Scary.
”That… sounds like a rough situation. You’re all beautiful as you are, though, so I can only imagine how much more stunning you’d be with makeup. By the way, Yumiko-san, you look a little down. Are you feeling okay?”
That’s right-Yumiko-san, the Bow Saint and Osamu’s ex-wife, was also in this party. She was staring at the ground, looking drained. She’d only give a strained little smile and barely spoke. It was all because of Osamu’s incredibly selfish behavior. I thought she should just forget that moron, but I guess when you’ve been with someone that long, the love doesn’t just vanish. She was still trying to find closure.
”Yes, I’m fine. I’m sorry for being a wet blanket. Daisuke-san, was it? I’m so sorry that man said such awful things to you.”
”No, that wasn’t your fault, Yumiko-san. Honestly, I was just happy you stood up to him. If anything, I’m the one who should apologize for being the reason for the divorce.”
”Don’t be silly. Our marriage had been falling apart for years now. We probably would have split up eventually even without all this. He used to be so much more considerate, but ever since he had that falling out with our kids after they moved out, it was like his filters just broke.”
”…I see. I know you were together a long time, so I won’t tell you to just ‘get over him,’ but you’ve been given a chance to be young again. It’d be a waste not to enjoy your new life, don’t you think? It’d make me happy to see you smile again.”
”…You’re right. I need to keep moving forward. Hehe, Daisuke-kun, you shouldn’t be trying to pick up a divorced old woman like me, you know? But thank you. I feel like a weight has been lifted.”

As she smiled, the shadows on Yumiko-san’s face finally seemed to clear. She looked a lot better. Her party members had clearly been worried too, and they immediately crowded around her with relieved expressions. They really were a great group. After saying goodbye to the Working Women Party, we got back to work. By the time we’d cleared out about thirty Goblins, everyone had hit Level 9.
As a final test of our training, we headed to the second floor to take on the Kobolds. They tried to throw us off with movements much faster than the Goblins, but our levels were high enough that we could handle them if we stayed cool. Makoto and Kenta-kun took the front to pin them down, while Takuya thinned their ranks with sneak attacks.
Kazuya stayed back after summoning his beast to avoid taking damage, focusing on buffing the summon. I stayed in the middle, healing the Vanguards, tossing out the occasional offensive spell, and keeping an eye on Kazuya’s back. Since it was a narrow cave passage, we didn’t have to worry about them flanking us. We took down the Kobolds without a hitch, finally feeling the fruits of our labor.
”Looks like you guys won’t have any problems on your own.”
”Yeah, that was solid work.”
”It was okay, I guess.”
”You’ve certainly grown stronger.” Juliet was still being snarky, but since she wasn’t ripping us a new one, I took that as a passing grade. “Mercedes, Ines-san, Juliet, Sylvie-san… thank you. We’ve still got a long way to go, but I think we’ve finally gotten the hang of this.”
”I, too, am in your debt-degozaru!”
”You have my deepest gratitude!”
”Thank you all so much.”
”I’m super grateful too, y’know!”
”It was just a job, don’t mention it.”
”Yeah, I figured you’d say that. Well, since we’re done, how about a drink to celebrate? Wait, is 18 old enough to drink here?”
”You’re considered an adult at 15, so it’s fine. I only drink in moderation, but I’ll join you.”
”If you’re paying, I’m in.”
”I’d love to hear more stories about your old world.”
”So you’ve finally succumbed to Mercedes-chan’s charms? Very well, I’ll join you! And by ‘join,’ I mean for the booze, okay!”
”I GET IT!”
The after-party was a disaster. Mercedes went totally wild, Ines-san was a total lightweight who turned beet-red after one glass, Juliet became a mean drunk, and Sylvie-san wouldn’t stop giggling. So much for Ines-san’s “moderation.”
As for my team, Kenta-kun was the first to pass out, while the other three just kept geeking out. I heard them arguing about holy swords, magic swords, and naming their ultimate moves, but I was too busy dealing with the chaos at our table. It was a complete mess and we were definitely the loudest table in the tavern, but it was the most fun I’d had in ages.
In my old life, my health had tanked so much I couldn’t enjoy a drink anymore. Being young again is definitely worth it for this alone. Tomorrow is a rest day. I’ll sleep in, then get started on what needs to be done.
