Volume 1 Chapter 6 Günther-san’s Explanation

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

The room fell into a heavy silence once Günther-san¹ finished his piece, but the orientation wasn’t over yet. Honestly, I’d only heard about how to use Appraisal on my own status and that bit about Divine Punishment. …I guess it’s up to me. Since everyone else looks too awkward to speak up, I’ll be the one to keep things moving.

”Thank you for the valuable information,” I said. “Could you please continue with the rest of the explanation?”

”…If you’re satisfied, then so be it,” Martina said. “Günther, continue.”

”Right. First, I shall explain the Status system,” Günther replied.

As I thought, Martina-san really is kind. By all means, I should— Glint! I wasn’t even thinking about anything yet!? Getting glared at like that… is this an effect of [The Onanist’s Tribulation]²? I won’t get pelted with rocks the second I step out onto the street, will I? Now I’m getting worried….

Anyway, here is the breakdown of Günther-san’s explanation:

 ーーーーーーーーーーー

 Lv (Level)

・Rises upon gaining the required Experience.

・Most commoners remain at Level 10 or below.

・A typical Knight Order Commander is around Level 60.

 HP (Health)

・Vitality. If it hits 0, you die.

 MP (Mana)

・Magic power. Required for skills like magic. Reaching 0 results in unconsciousness.

 Condition

・Displays status ailments like poison, paralysis, or confusion.

 Class

・Assigned at the moment of birth.

 ・Determines initial stats.

・Leveling up grants stat bonuses based on your Class, following the same growth trends as your starting stats.

 ・Class changes are fundamentally impossible.

 Titles

 ・Earned by meeting specific conditions.

 ・Often grant associated skills.

・”Infamy” titles for crimes like murder or robbery will bar you from towns and make you a target for execution.

 Blessings (Divine Protection)

・Includes innate gifts and those earned through merit.

・Some are incredibly powerful, such as drastically reducing the Experience needed to level up skills.

 Stats (Abilities)

・Stats are modifiers added to the base physical body.

 ・Growth rates are ranked S through G (8 stages). C is average.

 ・Base stat gains per level:

 S: 20 | A: 17 | B: 13 | C: 10 | D: 7 | E: 5 | F: 3 | G: 1

・Actual growth values fluctuate depending on current level.

 ・STR: Strength. Affects physical damage.

・VIT: Vitality/Sturdiness. Affects physical defense and endurance.

・AGI: Agility. Affects movement and attack speed.

・DEX: Dexterity. Affects physical accuracy and crafting success rates.

・INT: Intelligence. Affects magic speed and damage. Also impacts thought processing and memory.

・MND: Mind/Magic Resistance. Affects magic damage taken, resistance to mental attacks, and the potency of healing or support magic.

 Skills

・Acquired or leveled up via Skill Points or specific training.

・High aptitude from a Blessing allows for cheaper acquisition or faster mastery.

・Some skills have “High-tier” or “Composite” versions.

Example: [Greater Slash Enhancement] is the evolved form of [Slashing Mastery].

Example: [Physical Resistance] combines individual resistances to slashing, piercing, striking, impact, and penetration.

・Maximum skill level is 10. Level 7 is “Veteran.” Level 8 and above is rare.

 Experience (XP)

・Earned by slaying monsters. Can also be obtained through rare items found in Dungeons.

 ーーーーーーーーーーー

It was a staggering amount of info, but apparently they’ll give us a book summarizing it all later. There’s no way I could memorize this in one sitting, so that’s a lifesaver.

Now, for the rest of the lecture.

 ーーーーーーーーーーー

 The Hero

・Summoned via divine oracle to slay the Demon King.

・Summonings occur every 80 years; this is the 25th cycle in the last two millennia. The previous Hero’s party has long since passed away.

・The location varies. While Maultasche’s founder was a Hero, this is the first time the Kingdom itself has performed the ritual.

・Summoning occurs roughly 3 years before a Demon King’s emergence.

・Usually 6 to 15 people are summoned. This time the number is nearly double—a total anomaly.

 The Demon King

・Records show “Demon Kings” existed even before the summoning cycles began.

・A Demon King starts as a monster, gathers subordinates, and evolves over 3 years into its final form.

・The Demon King’s ultimate power depends on the strength of the original base monster.

・The benchmark for victory is a Hero at Level 80 with average stats around 6,000.

・Even with Green God-sama’s Blessing, reaching this in 3 years is brutal. It requires hyper-efficient grinding, total support, and perfect teamwork.

 The Seven Pillar Gods

・There are seven primary deities, each symbolized by a color: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet.

・Commonly addressed by their color (e.g., Red God-sama).

・Each god governs a domain. Hero Summoning falls under Green God-sama, the deity of Life.

 Taboos

・Strict prohibitions set by the gods.

・Violating a Taboo triggers Divine Punishment, which can potentially annihilate an entire nation.

・Heroes often accidentally trigger Taboos by attempting to mass-produce machinery for high-speed travel or long-range communication.

 History & Geography

・An Ancient Empire fell to the Demon King 2,000 years ago.

・The Hero summoned 480 years ago became the first King of Maultasche.

・Maultasche is bordered by the Abelard Dukedom, the Sangster Holy State, and the Souveraineté Empire.

 Social Standing

・Divided into Royalty, Nobility, Commoners, and Slaves.

・Each rank has specific legal rights and duties. Self-study at the library is recommended.

・Summoned individuals start as Commoners but are elevated to Nobility upon the Demon King’s defeat.

・Commoners generally do not possess surnames.

・Slaves have basic protections; excessive cruelty is a crime.

 Races

・”Human” is an umbrella term for Humans, Fairy-kin (Elves, Dwarves), Beastmen, Dragonewts, Insect-folk, Fish-folk, Bird-folk, and Demon-folk. (Demon-folk are not monsters).

 ・Racial discrimination is strictly prohibited.

 Marriage & Ethics

 ・The female-to-male ratio is roughly 2:1.

・There is no stat difference between genders.

・Polygamy is legally recognized, even for commoners.

・Simply being male does not guarantee popularity or make one a target for assault.

 Party Composition

・Usually 4 to 6 people for maximum safety and XP efficiency.

 ・The current Hero is a Vanguard. The ideal party adds 1–2 Vanguards, 1–3 Mid-guards, and 2 Rear-guards.

・It is strongly recommended that Hero parties consist only of the same s*x.

 ーーーーーーーーーーー

”That covers the basics,” Günther said. “Now then, let us decide the Hero’s party.”

Finally, Günther-san’s lecture was over. Not that I’ll be ending up in the Hero’s party anyway.

 —

 Summary:

Günther delivers a comprehensive lecture on the world’s RPG-like mechanics, including stats, classes, and the history of Hero summonings. The protagonist learns about the dire stakes of the Demon King’s arrival and the strict ‘Taboos’ enforced by the Seven Pillar Gods. The chapter concludes with the transition toward forming the Hero’s party.

 —

 Trivia:

 - Commoners basically cannot have surnames.

 - The female-to-male ratio in this world is 2:1.

 - Modern technology (mass-produced machinery) is a literal ‘Taboo’ that can destroy countries.

 - Demon-folk are classified as a ‘Human’ race, not as monsters.

 - The previous Hero party is entirely deceased

 —

 Character Insight:

The protagonist shows a mix of proactive initiative (speaking up to break the silence) and deep-seated social anxiety regarding his unique ‘Onanist’ status.

 —

 Behind the Scenes:

The ‘System’ explanation serves as a standard Isekai trope establishment, but adds unique flavor with the gender ratio and technological taboos.

 —

 TL Notes:

1 -san: A standard Japanese honorific denoting respect, similar to Mr. or Ms. but used more broadly.

2 The Onanist’s Tribulation: The title/class of the protagonist, implying a comedy or adult-oriented struggle related to his habits.

Notes:

• Günther – A Knight Captain or high-ranking official overseeing the Hero’s summoning and training. Experienced and pragmatic. An official or instructor responsible for explaining the world’s systems (Status, Hero summoning, and Taboos) to the summoned individuals. Knight Order Commander. Loyal subordinate to Martina and the King. Capable of healing magic.

• Martina – Daughter of Fritz Gilman. A beauty with sharp sanpaku eyes and a slender but curvaceous build. Acts as the instructor for the summoned individuals.
