Volume 7 Chapter 16 Arrival at the Village

Edited by: Kanaa-senpai

When I woke up the next morning, Cassandra was already awake and had finished her preparations.

 ”Morning. How are you feeling?”

 ”…Not bad.”

”The massage helped with your stiff shoulders, right?”

 ”…Yeah.”

She was as curt as ever, but she at least acknowledged the effects of the massage. Yesterday, she had collapsed after our third round, but thanks to my Healing Magic, she seemed to have recovered without any issues.

As I spent my second night with Cassandra, I felt that her body was being conditioned¹ quite well. Her heart, however, was a different story. Even yesterday, I couldn’t manage to do it in the missionary position until the end, and her attitude of “reluctantly putting up with me” hadn’t changed. At this rate, it didn’t seem like we would ever truly get close. I might need to consider a different approach.

Anyway, last night, after the third round with Cassandra, I spent some time alone in a session of onanism. My “partner” for the session was Nicola. Her breasts are still small and developing, and her narrow, training-in-progress v**ina has a different kind of charm compared to Cassandra’s. Unlike Cassandra, Nicola is a total “closet pervert” who actively craves me, so I enjoyed a session of face-to-face seated s*x with her in my mind.

(※ Note: This was a delusion.)

There isn’t much to report about the journey itself.

Mercedes was in a foul mood, but she went right back to normal once I gave her some sweets. I suspect Captain Emily² makes Mercedes her acting Vice-Captain precisely because she’s so easy to handle. Well, I don’t sense any malice in it, so I guess it’s fine.

The other adventurers were mostly no trouble at all. The members of the Mirage Party asked me a bit about my situation with Meta. Apparently, the fact that we became lovers was completely unexpected and incomprehensible to them.

You see, even though Meta’s tone is polite, she usually builds a wall between herself and others—she keeps a massive distance from men especially. I was no exception at first. Apparently, when the other girls had asked her about it before, she had told them, “I’m done with men. I have no interest.” Seeing Meta now, acting completely head-over-heels for me, was beyond their understanding. To be honest, they even suspected I was brainwashing her, but it seems they were satisfied after hearing some of the circumstances from Meta herself. (Hey, I don’t do brainwashing…)

As for Her Fünf, they seemed happy as long as the married couple was getting along. Apparently, they were “getting along” quite well last night, too. They mentioned they’d start trying for a baby once they’ve saved up a bit more money. It’s a pretty blunt topic, but I suppose it’s incredibly important to them.

The Golden Dragon’s Breath party stayed quiet. As part of their penalty for losing our duel, they are banned from brothels and onanism, but since there aren’t any other strict restrictions, I don’t think they have much to complain about. Most importantly, since Vait has calmed down, Moritz-san’s tendency to fly off the handle has been kept in check. They apparently heard that Vait had become my apprentice, but they couldn’t think of any logic to contest it.

Today’s trek was short, and we arrived at our destination, Eierschecke Village, just after noon. Since we’d sent a messenger ahead, the Village Head³ was there to greet us. She looked like some kind of squirrel-type beastman. She gave off the vibe of a relatively “young” grandmother, but given their average lifespans, she’s likely quite old.

”Welcome to Eierschecke Village, members of the Royal Knights’ Order. We cannot offer much in the way of hospitality, but you are most welcome here.”

”We appreciate the welcome. We are here on a mission, so please, do not trouble yourselves on our account.”

Captain Emily handled the negotiations, as expected. Given her rank, she can’t afford to be overly humble, so her tone came off a bit haughty. While the formal investigation doesn’t start until tomorrow, we were invited to the Village Head’s house to hear a brief overview of the current situation. I attended as the representative for the adventurers. Since the other parties were waiting right outside the house, they followed along as well.

On our way from the village entrance to the Village Head’s house, a group of young women started getting excited.

”Look! He’s here! It’s Moritz-san of the ‘Shining Horn’!”

 ”Kyaaa!”

 ”A famous adventurer’s triumphal return!”

It turns out Moritz is a bit of a celebrity in this village. If it’s a “triumphal return,” he must have been active around this area originally. I glanced over at Moritz and saw him looking uncharacteristically pleased with himself.

While his party is only C-Rank, he is apparently B-Rank individually, so I guess it’s not that strange for him to be famous. Vait had started to mention something about that too (though I didn’t listen because he went on for too long). I don’t really have a solid grasp on the “status” of a B-Rank adventurer yet. Is it like being a pro athlete? There’s no TV here, so that’s not a perfect comparison, but I can’t think of anything better.

”…Wait? Are his horns that short?”

”You’re right. Is he a fake?”

”No, no, it’s definitely him… I think. But were they always like that?”

”Even if he’s the real deal, I can’t believe his horns are that stubby…”

Whoops. The moment they noticed his broken horns, the vibe shifted. The excitement evaporated in an instant, replaced by hushed, skeptical whispering. Since the news of his horns breaking in a duel hasn’t reached them yet, everyone suspected he was an impostor. To prove he was the real Moritz, he’d have to explain the humiliating story of how they were broken, so he’s stuck between a rock and a hard place.

I looked at Moritz and saw a face contorted with frustration, but when our eyes met, he glared at me with an absolutely murderous intensity. (Not my problem, man. You’re the one who challenged me.) Remembering his “Leave it to me!” act from before makes me want to burst out laughing, but laughing here would be seriously dangerous. I’ll keep it together.

village head-san (she goes by Nina-san, it seems) explained that the situation isn’t exactly an “imminent threat” yet.

 - Water Elements naturally inhabit the area around the lake.

 - Normally, they won’t attack unless they are provoked.

 - They began multiplying a few months ago, and their aggression has been rising.

 - The lake is vital for the village’s water supply and sake production, but people don’t usually go deep into that area anyway.

 - At the current rate of growth, the village will be impacted within six months.

Essentially, the Elements haven’t reached the residential areas yet, so daily life is currently fine. However, if they are left unchecked, their numbers will swell and their territory will expand. Since the village is near a major road leading to the Sangster Holy State, there are also concerns about it disrupting regional logistics.

For context, Water Elements in a dungeon are formidable foes found on the 15th floor, but in the wild, their strength is all over the map. They can range anywhere from D-rank to A-rank. This applies to most monsters; if you let your guard down just because they’re “weak” in a dungeon, you’re in for a world of hurt.

For this mission, I’ve been put in charge of coordinating the adventurers. That information was passed to the Village Head, and from her, it was shared with the village elites. Consequently, the news spread through the small population like wildfire.

”Whoa! So Daisuke-san was summoned right alongside the Heroes!”

”Yeah, well, I didn’t have their level of talent, so I’m just working as an adventurer.”

”Still, to be B-rank at such a young age is incredible!”

 ”Thanks, I appreciate it.”

As a result, I ended up surrounded by a crowd of village men, peppered with questions. I wasn’t happy about it at all. Why is it only men?! I don’t care how many “handsome guys” there are; I’m not interested in men. This is definitely the effect of that “Ordeal” of mine. The women in the village barely reacted, just giving a casual “Oh, that’s nice.” The difference between this and the way they swarmed Moritz-san (if only for a moment) was staggering.

The Village Head threw a small welcoming banquet. Since dairy is their specialty, the meat topped with melted cheese was fantastic. I’ll have to make some for Liese when I get back; she loves meat.

Cassandra was busy being entertained by the Village Head as a representative of the knights, so she wasn’t with me. Instead, Meta was the one by my side. Since none of the village women would come near me, she was the only girl in my immediate vicinity.

I was just happy to have her there, so I served her some food and brought her a drink. She seemed incredibly touched by the gesture. Apparently, her ex-husband never did a single thing like that for her. I haven’t heard a single good thing about him.

The gathering broke up after about two hours. The knights went to prepare for tomorrow’s investigation. It’s not a huge village, but because it’s a hub on the main road, there is an inn. Both the knights and the adventurers are staying at the same one. Captain Emily is staying in a guest room at the Village Head’s house.

I bought up a ton of the local cheese and butter, as well as a bit of alcohol. By the time I finished my shopping, it was evening, and Cassandra finally joined me. She really stands out walking around in full plate armor.

”Let’s head to a tavern for dinner.”

 ”Yeah.”

I chose a different tavern on purpose. When we stepped in, there was a customer already drinking. It was a member of the Kijin race. She looked like a little girl, barely an adult.

”Hm… What is it? Why do you stare so? I (warawa) am no sideshow attraction.”

”Ah, my apologies. It’s just that Kijin are rare in this area, so I looked without thinking. I’m sorry if I offended you.”

”Fumu. It is true there are few of my kind here. I suppose it cannot be helped, then. Forgive me for snapping at you.”

 ”No, it’s fine.”

Despite her appearance, her way of speaking was incredibly archaic. Well, she’s probably much older than me. Still, she was an alluring girl. Her kimono-style clothes suited her perfectly, and the curve of her neck was beautiful. Her deep red eyes and red eye markings were charming. Right now, I should focus on enjoying my meal with Cassandra.

 Trivia:

 - Daisuke’s ‘Ordeal’ causes an unnatural attraction from men while isolating him from women.

 - The Water Elements’ strength varies wildly in the wild compared to the dungeon.

 - Meta has severe trauma from her ex-husband, making her bond with Daisuke significant.

 - Moritz is B-Rank individually but part of a C-Rank party.

Notes:

• Cassandra – 175 cm tall, short brown hair, muscular and sturdy; calm beauty with a stoic, unyielding aura. Former Vice‑Captain of the Royal Knights, niece of Günther, once called ‘The Ogress’ for her strict ‘Iron Claw’ discipline. Lost a duel to Daisuke, became his slave and neutral Guild witness, now leads the Third Unit, despises adventurers, and undergoes his sexual conditioning, remaining emotionally distant.

• Nicola – A 160 cm‑tall junior adventurer under Vanessa, with blue‑green hair in a side‑tail. Shy and inexperienced with men, she’s undergoing her first sexual awakening—her youth overflows, she becomes highly receptive after healing, and despite nervousness she proactively explores sex, even practicing on her own. Voracious yet still developing, eager to learn and please.

• Mercedes – Mercedes—also called Mel—is a brown‑haired, white frilled‑dressed noble, Home Secretary of Maultasche, and mother of Patrizia. She is Daisuke’s talkative, gluttonous Knight Order ally, loves sweets, fears Vice‑Captain Cassandra, despises goblins, feeds him intel, seeks a Reincarnator boyfriend, views dungeons as divine trials, and often breaks walls.

• Emily – Thirty‑year‑old Captain of the Knights’ Order, expedition leader and Ability Faction member. He has striking purple wolf‑cut hair, wavy and tied back, a powerful aura, wicked smile, and an “older‑sister” vibe. Married, he leads the Third Unit, chaperones a high‑school girl party, and is often late because the Knight Commander overloads him. Professional yet slightly haughty, he teases his subordinates and Daisuke.

• Meta – Mature, divorced priestess with long blonde hair and a curvy, well‑endowed figure, she now radiates a pink aura of gratitude toward Daisuke, her lover and fellow adventurer. Ally of the Mirage party, she fights beside him, but is currently taken hostage by Moritz.

• Moritz – Mid‑30s deer‑type Beastman, Level 50 B‑Rank Magic Swordsman of the ‘Shining Horn’ party, serves as Vait’s instructor, guard and sycophantic attendant. Proud and resentful, he broke his own horns in a duel with Daisuke, then took a hostage, only to be brutally beaten by Daisuke.

• Vait – A twenty-year-old former pseudo-noble from the Kojimar family, leader of Golden Dragon’s Breath and C-rank adventurer, he clings to noble pretensions despite his non-noble status, seeks Daisuke’s mentorship to reclaim nobility, and insists on fighting “beautifully” with a sword—despite being a Bludgeoneer—driven by an entitlement complex and a desperate desire to restore his family’s faded prestige.

• Nina – The Village Head of Eierschecke. A squirrel-type beastman.

• Daisuke – Mid-40s Japanese reincarnated adventurer, youthful face, B-Rank (Lv69) blessed by the Green God as an Onanist. Wields one‑handed sword & buckler, uses Earth/Wind magic, stealth, speed, transformation, Item Box. Manages slaves Ilse, Liese, Camilla; mentors Rin & Cassandra; dates Ines; pursues Regina & Dietlinde; runs a harem, cooks expertly, coordinates Royal Knight missions. Former college student turned traveler, now leads a party with a mace, healing magic, ‘Massage’ skill, and an ‘Ordeal’ effect.

• Liese – Standing 170 cm tall, she has grey‑blue hair, thick horns and grey scales on her neck and limbs. Once a Grünewald guild trainee and spear‑user, she is now Daisuke’s disciplined, loyal vanguard and his first slave. Polite and hardworking, she guides the other girls, her tail thumping to betray emotions as she serves her master—a deferential slave girl struggling with self‑assertion.
