Volume 8 Chapter 15 The Usual, Only More So
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
Seeing Regina-san for the first time in two weeks, she was as stunning as ever. She had that gentle smile, those top-tier breasts, and a level of technique my lovers haven’t quite mastered yet.
More than anything, she has an incredible aura of acceptance; just holding each other brings a profound sense of peace.
Devoting oneself to a professional is the textbook definition of a hopeless man, but in this case, it simply can’t be helped. Regina-san is just too charming.
”Are you satisfied?” Regina asked.
”Yeah. You really are wonderful, Regina-san. Please, come away with me soon,” I replied.
”Fufu, thank you. ♡ I’m retiring soon anyway, so that might actually be a good idea.”
”Are you finally saying yes!?”
”Not yet-denied. ♡ Passion is good, but impatience is a turn-off. Though, I have to say, being wanted by a young man like you, Daisuke-kun, does make me happy.”
(Hmm, she’s a tough nut to crack…) Still, I’ll soon be able to play my ace in the hole with Regina-san. I’m holding out hope that she’ll come to me in the not-too-distant future.
”I’ll give up for today. That aside, one last round, please,” I said.
”Oh, you’re hopeless. ♡ Nnh… ♡”
Despite calling me hopeless, Regina’s kiss was nothing short of passionate. I savored our intertwining tongues and the soft give of her chest as she pressed against me, fully enjoying every last bit of her in our final encounter.

The next morning was Yellow Day¹. It feels like a Sunday.
Today, I’m taking a break from dungeon diving and have a whole itinerary of outings planned. First up is lunch with Mercedes.
We were together until three days ago, but since these lunches are for monitoring the Hero Party’s movements, I can’t afford to skip out. Plus, I want to check in on how Cassandra is doing.
After that, I’ll head to the library for some research and to report my return to Clarissa-san. I’m looking forward to those soft, cozy hugs and kisses. Finally, I’ve got a date with the Gale Party. Since I’m seeing Meta on a different day, it’ll just be a date with the other three.
So, I spent the morning relaxing and headed out just before noon. Camilla has calmed down a bit since we became lovers, but she still insists on following me everywhere. After saying my goodbyes to the girls staying behind, I left the house with Camilla in tow.
”Hum-hum~ ♡ Out on the town with Master~ ♡” Camilla hummed.
Camilla has always enjoyed our outings, but she’s been in a much better mood lately. Instead of just holding hands, she now links her arm through mine, and her level of clinginess has definitely gone up. If something this simple makes her happy, I’ll let her have her way.
”Sniff, sniff… Ehehe… ♡”
(…She’s fine. I’ll let her do whatever.)

Lunch with Mercedes usually happens at cafe-restaurants, but sometimes we hit up regular spots depending on the mood. This time, as a reward for her hard work during the expedition, I chose a casual restaurant.
I can’t really take her to a high-end place because some idiot would probably start a scene and get us banned.
”Hello! It’s been three days, hasn’t it?” Mercedes said.
”Yo, Mercedes. Zofie-san, long time no see,” I said.
”Yes, hello, Daisuke-san,” Zofie replied.
Today, Zofie-san-one of Mercedes’ few friends-joined us. Unfortunately, I heard she got engaged, so I have no intention of making a move on her. That said, I’m still giving her a souvenir.
”I was away for a bit, so I brought some souvenirs. This one is for you, Zofie-san, and this one is for everyone at your office,” I said.
”Oh, are you sure?” Zofie asked.
”Yeah, it’s no big deal.”
”Well, in that case, I’ll gladly accept. Thank you so much.”
When someone thanks me with a calm smile that’s the exact opposite of Mercedes, it really makes me want to give them more. My Sense Malice² isn’t reacting at all; she’s a genuinely good person.
”How is work going?” I asked.
”Well, as the regular projects have slowed down, the restoration work from monster damage has been steadily increasing. Just as we expected,” Zofie said.
”I see.”
The souvenir for the office was just a conversation starter. I want to gather the latest intel before my lunch with Yuko next week. It doesn’t sound like they’re buried in work yet, so I’m hoping her complaining won’t be too bad this time. Incidentally, Camilla is still glued to my arm. She isn’t saying anything, but she looks satisfied, so I’ll let it slide.
”Daisuke-san, don’t you have anything for me?” Mercedes pouted.
”You literally went with me and ate a mountain of sweets during the trip. I gave you a ton right at the end, didn’t I?”
”What!? Those were gone in a heartbeat!”
”You didn’t eat them all already, did you?”
”Of course I did! Food just tastes better after you’ve been active!”
I gave her enough to last at least a week, but apparently, Mercedes polished them off in less than three days. She’s clearly overeating.
”Come on, give me some too!”
”Sigh… fine, whatever. Here,” I said.
”Thank you!”
”I hate to be the one to say it, but you’re going to get fat if you keep eating like that.”
Hearing that, Mercedes froze. Even for a girl like her, it seems she’s worried about her figure.
”I-I actually was thinking my waistline felt a bit tight lately…”
”No kidding. That’s what happens when you eat that much.”
”Mel? You really shouldn’t overindulge,” Zofie said.
”Guh! I will endure this… even if it breaks my heart…!”
Despite claiming she’ll endure, her eyes are glued to the treats. What a hopeless case.
”Only one sweet a day. Got it?”
”I don’t exactly want to get fat either. Fine, I understand,” Mercedes said.
”Daisuke-san, you really are soft on Mel,” Zofie giggled.
Zofie is right; I’m fully aware I’m spoiling her. At the end of the day, she’s just stupidly cute.
According to what I gathered during the meal, the Hero Party is currently crossing the Dukedom. Apparently, they’re around Level 55.
Diving into dungeons and subjugating monsters is all well and good, but having to grant audiences to influential figures everywhere they go seems like a massive pain.
Also, following Otto’s scandal, the number of accompanying Knights has been increased. They’re likely watchdogs sent by the state to prevent any further embarrassments. In fact, it seems the party is now strictly forbidden from going out without an escort.
Since that would just cause the Hero Party’s stress to skyrocket, the number of Caretakers³ has also been increased.
Aside from Osamu, the Hero Party consists of young men; the country clearly realizes they need some form of “stress relief.” I heard the Hero, Shouta-kun, and the Saint, Ren-kun, are still refusing to take on Caretakers, though. However, word is that Ren-kun is getting along quite well with one of the female Knights.
(Nice… must be nice to be young and in love.)
Oh, and Cassandra has apparently gained a reputation for being “slightly” kinder lately. Emphasis on “slightly”-if you try to tease her, she’ll apparently work you to the bone without mercy.
She hasn’t slacked on her self-discipline and remains a strict superior. Before she buries herself in work and her heart and body stiffen up again, I should call her out for a little breather.

After finishing lunch with Mercedes and the others, I headed to the library. Camilla stayed stuck to me the whole way.
”Are you having fun, Camilla?”
”Yes! Being out with Master is the best!”
”I see.”
”Ehehe~ ♡”
I wasn’t really doing anything special, but as long as she’s happy, I guess it’s fine.
”Hello, Clarissa-san,” I said.
”Hello, Daisuke-san. I’m so glad you’re safe,” Clarissa said.
I felt instantly healed by Clarissa’s beaming smile. She didn’t look exhausted like she did last time; it seems she’s bounced back.
I had told her I’d returned safely in a letter and received a response, but it really hits differently when someone says it to your face. I saved the small talk for later and had her lead me to the bookshelves I needed.
Honestly, I’ve memorized the layout of the library, but I have her guide me just because I want to watch her from behind. Those swinging hips look incredibly soft.
”Master?” Camilla asked.
”It’s nothing.”
Today, I researched monsters from the upper B-Rank to lower A-Rank. At this level, you start running into monsters that aren’t straightforward-there are almost no purely physical types.
Otto seemed to think that “taking damage = contributing,” but obviously, that’s total nonsense. Avoiding unnecessary damage is a skill in itself, and even if you have to take a hit, minimizing the damage is always the better move.
Well, it’s a bit late for him now. He’s headed for the executioner’s block anyway, so any advice would be a waste of breath.
I also looked into the differences between dungeon monsters and wild ones.
Apparently, the “True” Boss at the lake had action patterns that differed significantly from dungeon Elements⁴; it felt more “human.” It makes sense-since some A-Rank monsters are known to speak, it wouldn’t be weird for them to possess a certain level of intelligence.
I’ve only encountered one so far and didn’t have time for a casual observation, so the sample size is just too small. Come to think of it, I met the Dragon outside of a dungeon too, so you could consider it a wild monster.
It’s hard to lump that thing in with normal monsters, though…
”Good evening, Daisuke-san. How was the Designated Request⁵?” Clarissa asked.
”Good evening, Clarissa-san. It ended without any major problems,” I said.
Closing time arrived, and Clarissa struck up a conversation. It’s a brief window, but this is the only time I get to see her true expressions instead of her professional “customer service” smile.
”I’m so relieved you made it back. You’ve been in my thoughts, though I suppose I needn’t have worried.”
”No, it makes me happy to know I was in your thoughts. Maybe the reason I made it back safely is because you were thinking of me.”
”Oh, Daisuke-san, you’re such a smooth talker. ♡”
When I fired back a quip to her concern, her reaction was anything but cold. Seeing her bashful smile makes me want to pull her into my arms.
”It isn’t much, but here’s a souvenir for you. The village I visited was famous for its dairy, so I made some simple sweets,” I said.
”My, thank you so much! ♡”
It turns out Clarissa-san is a fan of sweets too. She broke into a massive grin-she’s seriously cute. She has this innocent, girl-like charm. The fun time vanished in a heartbeat, and unfortunately, I ran out of time. We said our goodbyes with a hug.
”See you next week, then. Lastly… can I have the ‘usual’? Camilla, you want in?”
”Yes, of course. ♡”
”Yes!” Camilla cheered.
From the front, Clarissa gave me a soft, pillowy embrace, while Camilla squeezed me tight from behind. While locked in that hug with Clarissa, we gazed at each other and shared a kiss where our lips just barely brushed.
She’s about ten centimeters shorter than me, so she had to put her hands around my neck and stand on her tiptoes. Because of that, our bodies pressed together, and I could feel the soft give of her chest against me.
Her lips were so plump.
”Fufu, it’s been a while since we did this.”
”It has. Your hugs really are the best, Clarissa-san. Having the older sister of my dreams kiss me… there’s nothing better.”
”I’m so glad it makes you that happy. ♡ Want to go again?”
”Definitely.”
”Okay, Daisuke-san. ♡ Nnh… ♡”
Clarissa’s cheeks were flushed a soft red as she smiled. It looks like the “conquest” is going perfectly. I feel like one final push would do the trick-now, what would be the best way to handle that?

A devoted member of the Gale Party, she shares intimate insights into Daisuke’s preferences with quiet, affectionate precision.

• Otto – Heavy Warrior, once the 52‑level tank of the Hero Party and a doctor‑degree holder, now a creepy 50‑year‑old mind trapped in a youthful body. He dons bulky armor and a stern face, is narcissistic, status‑obsessed and manipulative, obedient to Shouta and Takumi but tyrannical toward Ren and staff, pretends to mentor yet is a nuisance. Expelled from the Hero’s Party, he is delusional, sociopathic, and cares only for his own advancement.
