Volume 4 Chapter 11 Immediate Skill Effect and a Furious Friend’s Accusation
Edited by: Kanaa-senpai
”I’ll never forgive you, I swear it!” ¹
A girl who seemed to be Aoi’s friend violently shoved Hirose, who had just finished his treatment, and glared at him with eyes that made him feel like trash.
Apparently, she’d completely misinterpreted the situation, believing Hirose had attacked Aoi. She frantically called out to Aoi, who was only just recovering from her climax and still had a groggy, clouded look in her eyes.
”W-wait just a minute, you! You’ve got the wrong idea!” Hirose stammered, scrambling to sit up.
”The wrong idea? What on earth are you talking about?! I’m just going by what I saw! You attacked Aoi—what else could it possibly be?!” The girl snapped back, her voice ringing with righteous anger.
It was true that words like “Stop!” and “Nooo!” had been mixed into Aoi’s cries. If you only heard those snippets, like Rio did, then a misunderstanding that Hirose was attacking her was totally understandable. It was a fair, if regrettable, misinterpretation.
”It’s the truth! Aoi-chan was tired from club activities, and I was just giving her a treatment to help her recover!” Hirose pleaded.
”A treatment? And where exactly were you touching her to give her this treatment? This isn’t what anyone would call a treatment!” she scoffed, her eyes narrowing with disgust.
Of course, Hirose knew he had touched a part of her that wasn’t strictly necessary for the main treatment. But she had practically begged him to, so he hadn’t made the move himself. Even if he hadn’t touched her there, Aoi likely would’ve ended up in a similar state eventually. Regardless, everything was consensual this time, so Hirose wasn’t actually at fault.
”That… that might be true, but Aoi-chan asked me to! Well, okay, I asked first… but the important parts weren’t what I was asking for!” Hirose desperately tried to explain, his cheeks burning.
”Wh-what are you even saying?! None of your words make any sense! No one would believe the ramblings of a pervert! You must have just sweetly talked Aoi into it, you—”
No matter what explanation he offered, there was no sign she would ever understand. The suggestive and lurid sound of the words he was forced to use to describe his treatment only made his explanation seem less credible, which was the opposite of what he needed.
That was when it happened. Aoi, who had been trembling just moments ago, finally regained full consciousness. She took Rio’s hand and slowly pushed herself up into a sitting position on the bench.

”Rio-chan…” she murmured softly.
”Aoi… Aoi…! Thank goodness, you’re awake! But… I wasn’t able to save you…” Rio cried out, her anger melting into shame and worry.
Rio, the name of Aoi’s friend, was revealed. Rio squeezed Aoi’s hand tightly, regretting that she hadn’t protected her friend from this supposed demon’s clutches.
”Hehe… Rio-chan, you’ve got it all wrong,” Aoi chuckled playfully.
”…What do you mean?” Rio asked, her expression confused.
”I’m the one who asked Hirose-senpai to do this to me, you know?”
”…Huh?”
Rio’s face froze completely. Aoi’s words were impossible. What she’d just heard from Aoi’s own mouth was the exact same thing the demon—Hirose—had been claiming.
”B-but… this guy, you told me he was a playboy and dangerous and that I should keep away from him… so I thought he tricked you…” Rio stammered, desperately holding onto her initial conclusion.
”…What did you say?”
Hirose bolted up from where he was sitting on the floor, hearing the unbelievable words. He internally shouted in disbelief.
(Aoi-chan called me a playboy?!)
”Ahaha… I didn’t actually think I’d get close to Hirose-senpai, Rio.” Aoi giggled.
”…Huh? What are you talking about? Then… does that mean you two are dating?” Rio asked, hope mixing with her confusion.
”Nope—I’m his s*x friend,” Aoi replied with an airy confidence.
”Th-there! Aoi is being tricked again! You scum! You dirtbag who corrupted and defiled Aoi!”
Whether it was because of Aoi’s poor choice of words or something else, Rio’s misunderstanding only deepened. Hirose listened to all of this in front of them and threw his hands up, burying his face in them.
How was he supposed to explain this to make her understand? Aoi couldn’t tell anyone about Hirose’s Gift because of her own ‘Pledge’ Gift. The explanation had to come from Hirose’s mouth alone, but if he revealed his Gift now, with her showing so much hostility, the rumors would spread, and he’d risk the teachers getting involved. It was a massive bind.
”…Huh?”
Just then, Aoi, who was still sitting on the bench, abruptly stood up and began patting and feeling her own body, checking herself over.
”Aoi? What are you doing?”
Rio’s expression, which had been frozen in anger, softened slightly at the sight of her friend’s strange behavior.
”Senpai! I feel so light! All my muscle soreness is gone, and my fatigue has completely vanished! I could go back to the club and play full-out right now!” Aoi declared happily.
”Really?! That’s the exact result I hoped for! This could be huge! It’s something that’s never happened before!” Hirose exclaimed, his panic forgotten in a flash of excitement.
”Do you think I was helpful to you, Senpai?”
”Of course! I have to tell everyone about this!”
Ignoring Rio’s shocked concern, the two of them continued their joyous, incomprehensible conversation. Aoi, who was not wearing her pants, high-fived Hirose. Seeing this blatant display, Rio’s anger ignited once more.
”Wh-what is going on with you two?!”
”Rio. Are you still angry? I told you, Hirose-senpai is my s*x friend.”
”That’s not normal at all! The Aoi I knew wasn’t like this! You used to talk to me about your problems and worry so much… and suddenly you’ve completely changed, bright as a different person!”
”Ah… I know I leaned on you a lot back then, Rio… and yeah, I really do appreciate it. But I love who I am now, so I decided to move on.”
She had worried about her small chest and couldn’t take the final step to confess to the guy she liked. That was when she found out about Hirose and his treatments. After he helped her breasts grow larger, she confessed to her crush.
—But then, everything turned into a mess. She couldn’t feel satisfied with the boyfriend she got thanks to Hirose’s treatment, so she came back to Hirose. And that boyfriend, well, he’d talked her into sleeping with him after she’d confided in him, and the end result was Aoi breaking up with him…
Though not every detail, most of her troubles from that time had been confided to Rio Kozuka. They were classmates from the same middle school and often hung out when they didn’t have club activities.
That was why, while hiding Hirose’s true existence, Aoi had told Rio what she did—including the parts where she had (falsely) called Hirose a playboy.
”This is his fault. This is the reason Aoi became so messed up!” Rio accused, pointing a trembling finger at Hirose.
”Rio… we’ve been through a lot, but how do I look to you now? Do I look unhappy? How do I look compared to when I was dating Hayato?”
”…”
Rio was speechless. It went without saying that the Aoi she saw now looked far happier. That was precisely why she refused to admit it.
”I… I liked the Aoi from before you dated Hayato better.” Rio confessed, tears welling up.
”Then… are we going to stop being friends?” Aoi asked softly.
”Ngh! I didn’t say that! I’m your best friend, and I’m going to be from now on, too—Aoi?”
Aoi gently embraced Rio, whose emotions were running wild.
”It’s hard to explain, but Hirose-senpai isn’t a bad person. If anything, he’s the one who gets pushed around by everyone else.” Aoi soothed her.
”But you were the one who called him a playboy… if someone hears that, of course they’d get the wrong idea, and now that I see him—” Rio insisted, her voice muffled.
”That was just, like, a joke thing. This harmless-looking guy could never be a real playboy, right? Hmm… what should I say… ah, I know! Everyone else is renting Hirose-senpai instead!”
”P-please stop saying ‘renting’ and ‘p**is’ and ‘p**is’ ² so much…” Rio complained weakly into the hug.
Aoi continued her explanation while holding her. Perhaps the warmth of the embrace helped, because Rio’s anger began to slowly subside.
”Senpai, I have to go now. I really want to stay with you longer, but Rio is like this…” Aoi whispered to Hirose.
”Ah, sure. I’ll make this up to you later—”
At that exact moment, Rio shot a piercing look at Hirose.
”I still haven’t forgiven you, just so you know.”
”Ah, haha… I guess I’m in trouble…” Hirose chuckled awkwardly.
”Senpai, leave Rio-chan’s treatment to me,” Aoi insisted.
”Yeah, okay…”
Hirose wanted to question Aoi about calling him a playboy to her friend, but he knew this wasn’t the time. He left Rio’s management to Aoi and quickly departed from the girls’ basketball club room.

”—So, it’s an Instant Effect Skill, huh…”
Hirose mused to himself on the way home, deep in thought about the effect of the ‘Lymphatic Massage’ he’d just performed on Aoi.
All his previous skills took several weeks for their effects to fully appear. But this new skill was totally different.
The effect had shown up less than a minute after the treatment was finished.
The combat-type Gifts that qualified people for dungeon entry usually had an instant effect, whether they were offensive or support. Hirose’s skill, while the treatment itself took time, possessed the immediacy of a support-type Gift’s effect.
”Well, I’m not planning on becoming an Adventurer right now, anyway.”
Still, with this ‘Lymphatic Massage’, he might actually qualify to become an Adventurer. He could join a party, use the skill during breaks to fully restore stamina and clear fatigue. It would be a perfectly legitimate support skill for healing exhausted adventurers.
”For now, I’ll share this with everyone the next time we gather at the ‘Master Room’—”
Hirose hadn’t told anyone but Aoi about this new skill yet. He planned to share it during the next dungeon construction meeting.
”Even so, I wonder if that Rio girl is going to be okay… I must have made a terrible impression on her…”
He hadn’t expected the situation to unfold that way. From Rio’s perspective, he looked exactly like the “scum” she’d called him. It was a perfectly understandable conclusion.
”I’ll leave Aoi-chan to handle Rio for now, but I need to find out if she’s been calling me a playboy to anyone else…”
Hirose pulled out his smartphone, determined to confirm at least that one point, and sent a message to Aoi.
As he sent the message, Hirose looked down at his own lower half.
”…Something isn’t right. It’s not going down… Sure, Aoi-chan’s look was exciting, but I’ve never had this happen before—”
Hirose’s lower half, which had been swollen and hard, was experiencing an unprecedented level of engorgement. It was rock-hard and showing no signs of stopping, like he’d taken a massive dose of Viagra.
Hirose adjusted his package as best he could, hugged his school bag close to his crotch to hide it from passersby, and hastened his pace toward home, utterly mortified.

Summary:
A tense confrontation explodes in the girls’ clubroom when Aoi’s fiercely protective friend, Rio, mistakenly believes Hirose has assaulted Aoi after her latest, powerful Gift treatment. Hirose’s frantic, truth-laced explanations only make him sound more perverse, but Aoi wakes up just in time, shockingly energized and declaring their true, casual sexual relationship to her horrified friend. The misunderstanding only deepens, revealing old, unresolved baggage between the girls. The scene closes with Hirose realizing his new Lymphatic Massage skill has an unexpected instant effect on recovery, but it also triggers a massive, alarming side effect on his own body, leaving him with an unyielding erection as he heads home.
—
Character Insight:
Hirose is perpetually trapped between the beneficial, world-altering power of his Beauty Gift and the wildly compromising situations it forces him into, highlighting his essential passivity. His panic in the face of Rio’s righteous anger shows he genuinely fears the negative social fallout, despite his willingness to engage in the treatment. His inability to explain the Gift due to Aoi’s Pledge creates an unbreakable ironic barrier where the truth makes him look like a worse person. The sudden instantaneous physical side-effect is a potent symbol of his Gift’s chaotic, unpredictable nature, which is now affecting his own body.
—
Behind the Scene:
The confrontation with Rio serves to emphasize the dramatic and socially compromising reality of Hirose’s Gift. It shows the reader that even with consent, the activity looks completely illicit to an outsider. This chapter’s primary function is to introduce the instant-effect nature of the new Lymphatic Massage skill and, more importantly, to reveal the entirely new sexual side effect it has on Hirose, setting up future ecchi comedy plot points related to his uncontrollable physical reaction. The conflict between Aoi and Rio also resolves some lingering details about Aoi’s troubled past and her decision to embrace her current, happier self, even if it means having a sex friend.

T/L:
1 In Japanese, the full phrase is “…Zettai ni yurushimasen kara!” which is an extremely determined and emphatic refusal to forgive. ↩
2 A play on words. Aoi uses the word karichin (借りチン) which means ‘renting one’s p**is’ (or being a ‘rent boy’), and Rio reacts to the repetition of the chin (チン) sound, which is close to the Japanese slang for ‘p**is.’ ↩
Notes:
• Rio – A member of the Beauty Committee who previously worked with Hirose and already holds a negative opinion of him, seeing him as a ‘playboy.’ She has short dark hair and is dressed neatly in her school uniform. She is Aoi’s friend and is currently determined to ‘rescue’ her.
