”Um, please take it easy, Asagiri-san.”
Higurashi-san said that and offered me a seat on the sofa before heading to the kitchen.
This is the special room on the top floor of the girls’ dormitory, which belongs to Higurashi-san.
I was told to move to a place where I could accept Higurashi-san’s challenge (?), but I couldn’t leave Tsuchimiya-senpai right away. I was really scared that if I let go of his hand, he might disappear again somewhere.
As I clung to Tsuchimiya-senpai, he came with me to the front of the girls’ dormitory. During that time, I was holding onto Tsuchimiya-senpai’s arm the whole time. Just by touching Tsuchimiya-senpai, whom I thought I would never see again, I was filled with happiness.
When I said goodbye to Tsuchimiya-senpai in front of the girls’ dormitory, Higurashi-san guided me to this room.
When Higurashi-san returned with a tray, she placed a cup of milk tea in front of me. Mine was straight tea. I wonder how she knows my preference. The amount of sugar is perfect.
Looking at Higurashi-san in front of me again, she is truly a beautiful person. When I saw her before, she had long hair, but now she has short hair like a boy. But it suits her very well. She seems so lively, completely different from the Higurashi-san I know. Is she Tsuchimiya-senpai’s…
I know that Higurashi-san was with Tsuchimiya-senpai. Being alone together in the dungeon for a week, it’s natural to assume they have that kind of relationship. I know firsthand that the impulse is not something that can be easily controlled.
Just by witnessing their short exchange, I can tell that they have a deep connection. Even though their words may seem rough, there is a bond of trust between them that can be felt, and it hurts my heart. I realized that I can’t compare to this person.
Higurashi-san started talking when I put the cup down.
”First of all, to avoid any misunderstanding, Tsuchimiya-senpai is still a virgin.”
”Huh?”
What do you mean? He’s still… hasn’t done it yet!?
”W-why? How is that… impossible, right?”
”No, it’s true. Of course, I’ve done various other things, and had various things done to me, but I’d like to be spared from that.”
”V… various things?”
Ah, I’m such an idiot! That’s not the important part, but I just…
”Umm… well, having it done with fingers or with the mouth…”
”W-with the mouth!?”

”And also, I did it with Tsuchimiya-senpai’s thing with my fingers and mouth, and squeezed it between my chest and thighs.”

”Well, let’s put that aside for now. Anyway, both Tsuchimiya-senpai and I have pure bodies.”
Pure?! Is that the right word for it?! Ah, no, calm down, me! Anyway, it means that Tsuchimiya-senpai is a virgin and hasn’t done anything with Higurashi-san yet, right?
”W-why, how did it come to that?”
”I asked Tsuchimiya-senpai for it. And Tsuchimiya-senpai responded properly. I think it’s really amazing.”
”So, why would you do such a thing!?”
”Because, if I do that, I’ll become a thief cat. I believe that Asagiri-san has the first right.”
Is it because of that reason… that you’re concerned about me?
”But… I got rejected. Tsuchimiya-senpai’s feelings are already for Higurashi-san…”
Yes, I understand what Tsuchimiya-senpai was about to say earlier. I don’t need to hear it until the end. I couldn’t win against Higurashi-san.
”What? Are you really bothered by such a thing? Just ignore it. Don’t trust what Tsuchimiya-senpai says. That person doesn’t understand himself at all. From what I’ve seen, Tsuchimiya-senpai is head over heels for Asagiri-san.”
”That’s impossible, even if I’m told not to trust Tsuchimiya-senpai! After all, it was so clear…!”
I guess Tsuchimiya-senpai didn’t want to give me false hope because he’s a sincere person. It’s disappointing, but I believe that Tsuchimiya-senpai is someone I can trust in that sense.
”Yeah, I guess… Tsuchimiya-senpai says he’s just a ‘completely ordinary high school boy,’ but does Asagiri-san really believe that?”
”Um…”
I’ve heard that line before too. Sorry, but Tsuchimiya-senpai is definitely not ordinary in any way. But even so, that doesn’t mean Tsuchimiya-senpai must really like me.
”Tsuchimiya-senpai is really difficult to deal with. It’s like, he’s just showing that he cares about Asagiri-san. Maybe he felt like he had to be absolutely perfect in responding to those feelings, because he thought Asagiri-san was serious. He has such low self-esteem that he’ll never agree to it in that way. Just so you know, ‘trying it out’ is not an option for Tsuchimiya-senpai.”
”Whaaat…? No ‘trying it out’?”
Is that so? Does Tsuchimiya-senpai feel inferior because he doesn’t have the same feelings for me?
That’s tough. Of course, it would’ve been ideal if we both loved each other from the start, but then we wouldn’t be in this situation. If it seems like it’s not worth trying, then there’s no choice. But if I could get him to think, “Maybe I can give it a try,” then my goal is to work hard during that time to make him like me. But if there’s no ‘trying it out,’ then I’ll be left with a long, drawn-out battle that could take who knows how many years.
”So, no matter what he says, just push through. Tsuchimiya-senpai is easily influenced. Once you understand his nature, it’s easy. If you really dislike it, then run away.”
”Just push through…”
In other words, it’s a forceful breakthrough.
”Yeah. Just push through and express all your feelings. Or, are you going to give up?”
”I refuse!”
There’s no way I can give up. I’ve realized that deeply over this past week.
”Then, show Asagiri-san how much you like Tsuchimiya-senpai. If you do that, Tsuchimiya-senpai will also realize his own feelings.”
”How much I like Tsuchimiya-senpai…”
I have unwavering confidence in that. Because I’ve come to realize it after losing Tsuchimiya-senpai myself.
”Then it will definitely work out. I guarantee it.”
”But, is it okay with Higurashi-san? Why would you go to such lengths?”
”I’ll have you know, I also like Tsuchimiya-senpai. I have no intention of letting go.”
Here it comes! Higurashi-san also likes Tsuchimiya-senpai. I already knew that though. It means she wants to compete with me openly and fairly. Higurashi-san is really amazing. Can I really win against someone like her? But I can’t afford to lose either.
”So here’s a proposal, what if Asagiri-san and I shared Tsuchimiya-senpai?”
”…Huh?”
Share? Tsuchimiya-senpai with me and Higurashi-san? Huh? Huhhh?
”Whaaat!?”
”Is it that surprising? I thought about it a lot, and I decided it’s the best.”
”But, but even if you say sharing…! It’s true that strong people are surrounding multiple girls right now, but… after all, Tsuchimiya-senpai is level 1!”
That’s right, Tsuchimiya-senpai is level 1. There’s no way Higurashi-san, who has been with him all along, doesn’t know that.
”Yeah, Tsuchimiya-senpai is level 1. I realized that when we were together, but with a level 1 Tsuchimiya-senpai, he can’t satisfy my upgraded desires. Maybe he could manage for a day if he tries hard, but every day is absolutely impossible.”
”I-Isn’t it? So, the two of us doing that is totally impossible!”
”No, it’s the opposite.”
”The opposite?”
I don’t understand what Higurashi-san is saying at all.
”Even if one of us were to exclusively have Tsuchimiya-senpai, we would never be satisfied. So, what do we do with the remaining desires? Taking care of them alone would only be a temporary solution. It would actually lead to more dissatisfaction. So, what about finding another guy to fulfill those desires? I can’t imagine being with anyone other than Tsuchimiya-senpai.”
”I-I can’t imagine being with anyone other than Tsuchimiya-senpai either!”
That’s where the compromise comes in. What if two people who love the same guy come together?
”Huh? You mean… me and Higurashi-san?”
”Yes, that’s right. I’m not saying I’m a lesbian or anything. But if we were to share, there might be times when all three of us are together. I don’t think it would be that much of a problem.”
Three of us together…? Um, it’s embarrassing, but it’s not like I hate the idea, right?
”And besides, just being with Tsuchimiya-senpai fills my heart. I don’t need to unleash all my desires on Tsuchimiya-senpai. If Tsuchimiya-senpai loves us with all his might, wouldn’t it be enough for us to satisfy our remaining physical desires together? I think we would be happy.”
Yeah… that might be true. If I can be with Tsuchimiya-senpai, that alone would make me happy. There’s no doubt my heart would be fulfilled. But when I think about the reality of dealing with physical urges…
”That… might be okay.”
”Right?”
Higurashi-san nodded with a mischievous smile, like a child who succeeded in a prank.
”So, is this like an alliance or something?”
”That’s right. If Asagiri-san is around, I feel at ease too.”
”I feel the same… I’m a bit hesitant, but with Higurashi-san, I’ll probably be okay.”
Yeah, it feels weird. Not in a bad way, but somehow I feel embarrassed and can’t look directly at Higurashi-san’s face.
”Ah, before that, there’s something I want to apologize to Asagiri-san for first.”
”To me?”
”Before, when I was alone, Asagiri-san talked to me many times. I rejected it, but I was actually happy. I’m really sorry for that time.”
”Really… you don’t have to worry about that at all.”
I still feel strange thinking that the Higurashi-san from that time is the same person. The Higurashi-san back then wore glasses and had braided hair, and now I feel like she was somehow trying not to stand out on purpose.
”Thank you, Asagiri-san! Well then, let’s get along from now on!”
Saying that, Higurashi-san reached out his right hand.
”Yeah! Nice to meet you too!”
I also took Higurashi-san’s hand and shook it. In this moment, I feel that Higurashi-san is really reliable, even though we are just high school students. I can’t help but feel grateful for this alliance, knowing that I don’t have to compete with Higurashi-san.

After returning to the boys’ dormitory, I took a shower and changed clothes. I spent the afternoon eating cup noodles, doing exercise, and reading manga. Higurashi told me to stay in the dormitory today.
No matter what I do, I can’t help but think about Asagiri. I wonder if my choice was really the right one. When I remember Asagiri’s almost crying face, I lose confidence.
I actually want to date Asagiri. I think it was a waste, but what does it mean to be a waste anyway? If I think about it lightly like that, maybe I’m not qualified to date Asagiri.
Suddenly, Higurashi appeared in the middle of our conversation and said, “I have something to talk to her about” and took Asagiri with her. It was a strange atmosphere, but knowing Higurashi, she must have some kind of plan.
When I looked at the clock, it was almost 7 o’clock in the evening. I guess I’ll have instant noodles for dinner again. I really want to eat something decent tomorrow.
While I was thinking about that, I received a message from Higurashi.
GC: Tsuchimiya × Higurashi
Higurashi: Are you in your room?
Tsuchimiya: Yeah, I haven’t left the dorm as you told me. I’m getting tired of just having instant noodles.
Higurashi: Alright, make sure to take a shower and have a light dinner. I’ll bring you a sandwich later.
Tsuchimiya: Seriously? That would be a big help.
So, if Higurashi is telling me to have dinner, it means she won’t be here soon. I’m also curious about what Asagiri and Higurashi talked about. She’ll probably send a message before she arrive, so I should go and meet her at the entrance.
As I was following her instructions, the door was knocked on around 10 o’clock at night.
Huh? Right into the room? I can picture Gil-san pounding on the door like it’s about to break.
Feeling confused, I open the door and, somehow, Asagiri is standing there wearing a white dress.
